I saw an orange 2 wing S class Exotic the other day, came in first wave twice, then stopped after that never reappeared again at the station or on the planets. Very frustrating when you find a ship people will want and then it just stops spawning as there is then no point putting the cords in as you know people are going to waste their time looking.

I'm way out in the fade in Aptarkaba, and I found a pirate system that has a dark metal + dark gray coloration Solar Ship (it's the Braun shaver body style - looks like an electric razor up front) but it's the darkest gothic-esque Solar ship I've yet found. Has anyone seen similar coloration? It's dark metal, and both colors on the hull are dark gray - like really dark. It's superb. I would love to find different body style with this palette. Working on getting a screenshot, but figured I'd ask since I'm not near my PS5 at the moment.

I've found several S-class freighters on my first try. Then again, it once took me two weeks to find an S-class freighter. Streaks of good luck are equally as likely as streaks of bad luck. Improbability principle at work.

Exotics are super easy to get; just camp a trading post, and reload until it shows. Doesn't take long at all. Exotics are not rare. Super common.

Some space stations have very low spawn rates. If that's where you're at, head to a planetary trading post - let 2 waves spawn, then reload as needed. You'll get a good rate of spawns that way.

Super common. I can find one in like 15 minutes. Put save station on the roof of a trading post, create a manual save, and then just rinse/repeat the reload - goes super fast on PS5, with load times down to like 15 seconds or so.

Best method to get an exotic is camp a poor (1-star) star system. No normal S-class starship spawns, and exotics seem to show up pretty quickly, and in multiples. Found 3 red squids landing once on my first reload. Been hunting at trading posts in poor star systems for about 3 years now. Just need to change your outlook. "Exotics" only refers to body type, not rarity.

That's a good question... broadly white ships with gold or purple sails. Specifically, a shielded jackal with drill crescent sails... or as close to that as I can find 🙂

Each system and planet seems to have its own color palette based on one of the existing shaders, so ships all look different based on where you're looking at them. It's frustrating that there isn't an easy "true color" option in photo mode.

A good example of why pulsing helps: this system is like 100% red light, but in pulse you can still get pretty accurate colors.

White ships often take on the hue of their surroundings - it may very well be white, or it might be light-blue. It's really not easy to tell for sure one way or the other from this picture.
I think it looks more white with blue tints from the station, rather than actually blue.

Ship coordinates are a bit weird now, but no exotics get replaced by solar ships - not even an option for the game to do that.
It's only shuttles that get replaced in normal systems, and never exotics even in outlaw systems which have a chance to replace fighters, haulers and explorers as well as shuttles

I'm not saying that solar ships are replacing exotics, but it does seem that with a bigger loot-pool now that ship locations have moved a little and aren't in the systems we're used to finding them in anymore. And the trade depot I found a few days before the Outlaws update that had a nice yellow exotic that was quite frequent...has never spawned again while I'm there, since the update

Yea. Sentinel is the smallest, Dreadnought is the biggest. They can have pods or boxes, antenna or no antenna, and elevated or tower entrance.

So locate a traveler in a station, at a starport, etc.
And then after the initial talk, talk to them again and ask where they came from for 100 nanites.
They'll mark a grave and do that twice for the initial two glyphs and . (Star Over Water and The Hunter)
The grave gives you the glyph.
And if you want the Resurgent I showed Prodigy then just use the portal sequence in the first galaxy: Euclid.

that really depends on what you're looking for in a ship
shuttles are a jack of all trades, fighters have more damage, explorers have better hyperdrives, haulers have more space and are generally tankier, exotics are also a jack of all trades, living ships are living ships, and solars apparently have better pulse drive performance

you can reposition sun in photo mode, but can never really trust system lighting, on freighter, station, anomaly generally a better idea of the actual color... also the buy screen

any exotic will always be s-class, any ship that always appears 100% of the time first wave is a first wave etc., though this tends to occur more with exotics but not necessarily limited to them... otherwise any ship can potentially be s-class though chance varies by system
