You won't lose it, since that particular organic frigate is tied to the star you are in, and its the only organic frigate that will be offered to you

When they‘re upgraded they‘re still more than fine though? Hell even with radiant pillar you can beat a pirate dread easily since scaling is a thing in this game.

If it‘s about the maneuverability…yeah it sucks but only until you‘ve gotten a few upgrades, then it‘s also more than fine even if not elite.

The very first organic frigate is tied to frigate expeditions, as you need them to drop you a Dream Aerial blueprint. After that though, expedition play no further role in your ability to get more organic frigates

Yes, although encountering them randomly while pulsing is unlikely, most people use Anomaly detectors to find them

And once you see that organic frigate, if you don't like it, you need to move to another star, and if you recruit it, you also need to move to another star

Glyphs only indicate where you would find any shared organic frigates, but you still gotta encounter the event, which even with the anomaly detector, can take a while

First, you send expeditions until you get the dream aerial blueprint, you make it, and that will help you encounter your first organic frigate.

For all other organic frigates after that, you need to use anomaly detectors, which is obtained outside of frigate expeditions. In fact, frigate expeditions play no further role in finding organic frigates

Yeah exactly like @fathom trout wrote. I've been recently recruited 4 living frigates and all you need is anomaly detector and patience. Sometimes you'll be pulsing for like 15-20 minutes until you get the message of "whalesong" detected or or "cosmic megafauna" something like that. Only then you end pulsing and you'll find your living frigate. Which you also have to pay millions of units to recruit.

Yes - Two S class interceptors from the same star system will have exactly the same stats (though different supercharge slot locations)

This is true whether you find them as S class or upgrade them from any other class to s class. Once you have nanite production upgrading is faster than searching for an s class interceptor to repair.

I am currently focused on going to as many Dissonant Systems as I can to find cool looking Interceptors with good s class bonus "rolls" and when I find one, farming in that system until I find one with good supercharge slot locations.

the main thing about sentinel hunting is developing a stash of nanites, inverted mirrors, echo locators, radiant shards and a few starship cargo augmentation modules (or loads of cash). It almost always takes a very long time to find S class interceptors crashed. It takes a lot less to upgrade one you really like to S class from whatever class you find it. Also you can relaod a save point if you upgrade a ship and find it has bad supercharge locations or bad bonus rolls to get back the nanites and augments to use on upgrading another interceptor.

it is 🙂 man, I documented like 50 exotics with this method but I gotta say, it's only convenient with interceptor because you can hang before you reach the trade post, any other ship just keeps moving forward so you need to constantly manoeuver and fly around it to see the ships, and the interceptors are so much faster and requires less time to get away/come back, so I just switch to interceptor for this and then it's fun, with regular ship not so much

These kind of guppies, as well as my 2nd living ship, and a unique fighter I found, are probably my three favorite ships in the game; at least out of all the ones I‘ve encountered so far.

Which have been a lot, as I‘ve been playing since launch, but the waffle cone guppy you posted above…it has always felt like this is the one to me, I especially like how it looks in flight with the clamshell and booster combination;

I Agree. The starbirth quest is not particularly interesting or exciting it is just long. Living ships could have their world and lore expanded. I'd like to see some actual connection between living frigates and living ships. Maybe living frigates can lay the void eggs and those can grow to either ships or frigates and have some questline around it..stuff like that

Thank you! Actually finding the right outlaw system was the hardest. I was actually looking for the other type of freighters and after I found the system with this pirate encounter. I did like 3 tries and was checking both freighter after I got the pirate one seized and on the third try I got the pirate one "S" class. Kept that one. One day I might gonna go for that S class venator type

You can also get walker brains by interacting with dissonant scrap. Harmonic camps might have them in wheelbarrows but you can definitely find them (sometimes ten in one go) behind crashed interceptors or harmonic scrap that has the same location icon as harmonic camps.

Quicksilver rewards are from the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion, to the right of the Nexus where you pick up quests

Alternatively, if you installed the first mod Grouch linked, it requires you to do an emote, which will trade your current ship for the Starborn Phoenix.

Lol thats not how 1st wave works, 1st wave ships come in 1st wave after a reload of save at stations. If you aint reloading its not a 1st wave ship. Unless you mean by leaving, leaving the game, instead of the station as it looks to me at least.

Raw chance, determined each time they're encountered.
If you qualify for Pirate Dreadnought Events, 20% of Outlaw Systems and 10% of High-Conflict Systems have a property that makes them always have a Pirate Dreadnought Event occur when warped to via starship, completely ignoring/skipping the cooldown. These systems are incredibly ideal for farming a Pirate Dreadnought's class, so basically just warp to many different Outlaw Systems until you find one of these and then warp away and back to repeat the battle.

oh yeah, when I was warping out of the first system I tried new one every time, and one of the neighbor systems gave me a fight, after two jumps I realized both of them repeat the fight, so I built bases in both systems so I wouldn't lose them, I should document them too somewhere

Note that getting the living ship that you want from your first Void Egg is tricky and can sometimes look wrong (at least ime). See this post for a guide on how to make a specific one spawn, latitude/longitude coordinates are necessary #nms-questions message

Activate void egg talk to the living ship when it hails you then just go to the coordinates of the crash ship and select restart mission I did it for my black and red ship I was sitting right next to the crashed ship

Correct. This starship was not an expedition reward, it was awarded from a free Steam DLC that was only made available for 1 week, like the wiki page describes. There aren't any unique/non-procedural starships awarded from any missions in No Man's Sky.
