That's pretty much what I was wondering. I guess I'll try hopping around to different stations once I get the parts that I like and see what happens.

There’s a set priority. The rainbow trumps everything if it’s installed. I only use it on pink ships usually. Red gets next priority. That’s what I usually use. When you arrange them like the screen shot, you get a decent maneuverability boost. The bobble heads each have a hidden stat boost - damage, shields, etc.

If you're looking for a sentinel ship in general. When you look at the galactic map, look for systems whose map level description includes the word 'Dissonant', go to that system. Find the planet with the ssentinel symbol and the purple text "Dissonance detected."

Pick a fight with the purple rogue sentinels on that planet. Win by defeating the lvl 5 wave. If there is a sentinel wreck on the planet, you'll be given the location for it, described as 'Dissonance Spike detected'

it helps if you have storages on it - summon it from the ground and you have all the storages in any place within the system. if you have the teleport transmitter on freighter of course, otherwise its pointless

The class isn’t as important as the core stats and SC layout. Any ship can be upgraded to S class for nanites. You can’t change the core stats or SC layout short of using a save editor.

They are glyphs for planet portals. each planet in the galaxy has unique glyphs. You can put glyphs into a portal on a planet to get to a specific planet. (These portals are independent from the ones you can make and can only be used to get to and from other planet portals.)

Basically, while doing main quest, you'll get access to those glyphs and get directed to a portal.
If you make base near it, you can use it to travel to known coordinates.

And non-crashed ships can show up on any landing pad in system, so those glyphs are usually enough if you're willing to shipwatch.

Don’t use your home planet for the first quest! It often bugs and breaks the portal, and the only way to fix it is to wander on the bugged other side till you find a structure you can save at!

Also, portals are only for that galaxy. The first galaxy is Euclid, and you can only portal to other planets in Euclid. If you go to another galaxy, like eissentam, you can only portal to other eissentam planets

Purple star systems are only made visible on the galaxy map and accessible via portal upon completing the mission "In Stellar Multitudes" which begins after you have completed both the Autophage introductory mission "They Who Returned" as well as "The Atlas Path"

That was a solar that I found, it should exist in normal as well since the system is also abandoned in normal, and it has a sentinel ship.
This one was a sunken one I found when poking around with the sub sonar.

I don't know if the classes always carry over though since abandoned mode are all 1 star economies so A class will be the max rank to be found.

4 parts that you need to wait 22 - 29ish hours to wait to mature, next you need to go to a planet and capture some souls from travelers. Once done, you go to where you came from and the game will point you to your new living ship where you put all that stuff into the ship to make it flyable.

I'm still learning the intricacies of the upgrading. I know that the ship upgrade terminal doesn't work.

Best color combos are what you prefer, I don't know offhand what colors they can have.
Planet and station lighting varies a lot, I've had sentinel ships look like a totally different color once I was off the planet i found them on.

welp, something something euclid is better for finding exotics I guess? got this one in like 10-15 jumps in a T3 vy'keen system, and I've never waited more than 2 rounds of ships anywhere, space station > trading post > trading post > next system, while in Hilbert I used to wait for like 4-5 rounds, doing at least 2-4 trading posts per planet and never seen one.
anyways, wanted this exact one in white but orange looks good as well, I wish I didn't trade off the yellow folding I had previously, but I had no idea about storing ships in freighters so had to make room for something else... nonetheless, gorgeous looking orange compact exotic, I'll keep looking for white one but this one going to be my primary ship for a while for sure

I was able to hit 1900 hyperdrive range and 1400+ maneuverability on my sentinel interceptor after some good upgrades, so yours should be able to get close once you get the upgrade modules installed.

If you put the sentinel hyperdrive module in a supercharged slot and get 3 S class modules you should be at 1500 or so, I got mine higher but gambled on X class ones.

You'll want to arrange them so they are next to each other too, every module touching another of its type provides a small bonus to the stats.

Sentinel ships get a good hyperdrive range boost since the main module itself gives 600 ly range, so supercharging that helps a lot.

I do a lot of sentinel ships for some time lately and s class is pretty hard to find, however, b and a are easy enough, so if you like the ship's design what I'd do is find one camp, place a save beacon there and use the same one to find other ships instead of spending echo locators, I find that usually b class for some reason have better slot positions, I got ~10 b class ships with at least two adjacent slots vs only one a class, so if you find good slots in a b class keep it and upgrade it, u can easily farm nanites while looking for the ship by converting mirrors into nanites in a refiner or using the shattered glass to extract and sell the modules it gives you, occasionally you can fight some drones and collect more glass, the modules from the glass are very profitable.
and btw, usually the distance between the located ship and the monolith where you need to activate the brain is pretty short for an exocraft ride, so take your exocraft and farm everything you can on the way, you can take radiant shards, collect echo locators/inverted mirrors, etc., all of this will help you get more than enough nanites to upgrade the ship's class.

I had one in Hilbert Dimension but not in Euclid, however, once I've started digging through dissonant systems I realized there's literally infinite number of them and each has slightly different ship, so finding a specific one is really tough. but I gotta say, dissonant grind is by far my favorite thing to do, I love everything about dissonant planets except for the really extreme gravitational thingy combined with extreme mountains, these planets suck ass so I take a look at one ship and I'm out. but the flat ones I can drive around for hours in my batman bike and collect echo locators and whatnot. maybe I'll find a full white, or at least majority white sentinel some day

That's right. I've actually done that. I found another S class sentinel ship, put a base down, and when I visit it, the ship almost immediately leaves, then comes back a minute later with a npc and you can hire him.

Although the way Sentinel ships go is any planet in that same system every crashed Sentinel ship is the same looks wise

the first one you find is probably gonna be a C and if you want better then just go back to that autophage terminal and scan for dissonance again

the color filters on planets and sometimes the system hue can mess up with the brain, best is to look at the actual color when claiming the ship, at the inventory view, you can clearly see the colors there.

if you like the ship, often if you keep looking you can find better class, I found my s class after 3 or 4 c class ships, I put a save beacon next to a camp and just reuse the terminal

I want to find a solar ship and i got the portal cords for one but how should i actually go about finding it?

Do you know if it was a crashed one or a regular ship that flies around the system?
Crashed one would be a bit harder to find... Need the latitude and longitude for the crash site on that planet.
The ones from an NPC its just a matter of seeing it on a landing pad so you can buy it from the pilot.

If you are in the right galaxy the portal glyphs should take you to the right system unless it is a purple star since those are locked behind certain missions needing to be done first.
Solar ships can be in non outlaw systems too, just not as common.

teleport destinations that are in galaxies different from your current one will state their galaxy

There's only one specific type of thing in No Man's Sky that is called a portal. Using this word to describe things that are not these specific objects can be confusing to other players, so using the correct terms is ideal.

a teleport can teleport between galaxies, but portal/black holes cannot

for people hunting sentinels I found a nice trick to mark and reuse a camp, until now I've put a save beacon on every camp but that required constantly wasting metal plates, and I never actually came back to clear them. so instead you can unlock the terminal but do not unlock the multitool, if you try to open the multitool while the seal is still locked it will add a mission to unlock the seal, the mission is always there and has a marker you can come back to even if you leave the system, and can unlock the multitool seal when you're done with the planet or you can just abandon mission to clear the marker later on from anywhere. no more polluting planets with beacons!
