There is, but it is only available if you have the Stealth, Ironclad or Titan Stripes paint jobs from previous expeditions

Oh I have freighter and the matter beam, it is so much easier to hower whatever and press Y on Xbox, it automatically goes to the ship or vice-versa to the exosuit. With freighter you have to manually move to its tab so why I am maxing out my ship and exosuit.
I leaving the freighter for the contraband bits I find so the sentinels can leave me in peace lol

Oh yeah, it is just notice how you can just press X and it will go automatically to your exosuit?? While on the freighter you must mouseover/controller it and press A on Xbox? I know, I am just being too pick.
I am collecting way too many stuff to having to do that extra step every time.

I came across my first pirate freighter, and I like the style so kind of want to take it. It is only class C though.

My current freighter is class S, but for some reason all the stars are lower (maybe because it is an old save that I haven't played in years). I am wondering if there is a reason to keep the S class instead of switching

The stats may be lower due to not having any tech installed, and the new one may show up as having tech installed

The only two stats that truly vary are Hyperdrive Range and Fleet Coordination, and those can be increased more effectively with tech/upgrades

If you don't care about those things (or being able to upgrade the cargo inventory past 6 rows) then class may not matter

It's annoying but it kinda make sense, it's an outlaw system so a normal system shouldn't have any interaction with it ethically speaking.

If you don't wanna warp with the freighter there, I don't think the game will destroy your freighter, leave it in the next system.
Sentinels are pretty blind with contraband, when they eventually go off on planets, I just land. On space I aim at the space station and brrrrr

You'll have to find an Alien monolith and solve the puzzle it gives you. Then you can reactivate it and use an item to get it to show you the location of a Portal. The item required will be determined by the dominant race of the system you're in.

Then when you find the portal you'll have to charge it with materials. Then you can choose to activate the portal and enter the glyph address of the planet you want to go to.

Should I adjust my system time?

No! Messing with your system clock has the potential to break every single thing that relies on a real timer. Settlements, frigate missions, farms, mines, freighter battles and time gates such as the Starbirth Quest. Just don't do it.

The cooldown between freighter battles is 3 hours of unpaused gameplay (no menus) plus 5 warps, once both criteria are met then your next warp to an inhabited system triggers a battle. Some rare Outlaw Systems have a property that skips this cooldown and spawns a battle every time they are warped to.

That depends on if you have encountered at least 2 freighter battles before, which then makes all freighters present in future ones into Capital designs which are much more expensive

And also depends on the class of the freighter you encounter, A and S-Class capital freighters can be 100 to nearly 200 million Units on normal

You will need to warp into that system to trigger a freighter battle that will have that freighter to save

Get a conflict scanner (if you dont have it, get the BP in the anomaly), once installed in your ship, check if it has a skull, that indicates a pirate system

Solar ships come as the cockpit, sails and wings which each has a variant depending on the tip at the front

All squid ships are identical in shape, the tentacles extend or retract based on landed or flying state

Natural fully black freighters haven't been possible since 2022 unfortunately, all coordinates that you see will be visually different from how they are now (them being black seems to have been a bug tbh) you could find grey freighters found after 2022 and repaint them to be black at the very least

I finally found the water worlds and I already hate them 🤣
I used the submarine sonar to find "drowned ships", found this Class-S, beginners luck.

It could be me but I won't explore water worlds anymore, the game does not allow me to summon my main ship on water.
Eidius where I found it is a Tidal planet meaning tiny island once every a few thousands kilometres and then just water, I found this Class-S, couldn't see my ship, could not summon it.
Had to drive the submarine to the "closest" island to summon the ship, I will only do this again on normal planets with water.
On the other planet, I had to restore the restore point coz I was "stuck" on the planet, you cannot claim base on water or anything.

Once you find a ship and fix its engine and landing gear, take off and the game will make the ship goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr out of the water.
This will make spaceship hunting with the submarine sooooooooooooo much easier but I am only doing it on tidal planet with tiny island every a few thousands kilometers so I can land on land and swap ship coz of the aquatic landing gear.

Also, have the exo-skiff installed in your exosuit, if things go really bad like Endless world, I could summon it, claim a base on it, build some timber floor and then I was able to summon my ship. If the ship has no landing fuel tho, yeah, you better have a backup ship.

Like Artificer said, Dissonant Planets, some are dogshit to find resonators, I stick to Paradise ones, Resonators are like plague everywhere.
The way you play also matter, I like to fly low and slow, most of my exosuit slots I unlocked by finding exosuit pods like plague, crashed freighter?? I got tired of them, ships also.
For resonators I do the same, this is how many I got within 14min, stick to paradise dissonant planets like that and you are golden.

I sell mines for cash but I noticed that only some allow me to get parts, for others the "salvage parts" or whatever it says remains grayed out so I believe that is what you are noticing.

Be the matter about a planet or ship, it is a lot easier to visit every single station you have added than guessing which system.

You need a Echo Resonator to give you the location of the Harmonic Camp, the computer will give you the location of the ship, you need an Inverted Mirror Resonator and those big crystal.
Even if you find a sentinel ship, you cannot just take it and fly away.

Oh, you could find fighter ships with the same individual pieces and scrap them, then build your own version of that starship at the starship fabricator aboard regular space stations

Know that firing speeds/damage of that scale will not relate to the design, and are not possible in the unmodified game

The mission should point you towards the monolith you need, and also sentinel ships are incredibly valuable to salvage if you don't like the one you've found

Pugneum or Radiant Shards, yes, and they also use only half of the percentage normally used to take off too, similar to Explorers

I am done trying it, to me Infra-Knife is garbage.
I have both weapon with all the Class-S they can possibly have, Infra cannot make half of the damage Cyclotron does no matter what I try.
I see folks destroying it with Infra, they most have some insane Class-X mods coz as it is, Infra is weak and cannot even take ship shield down, any newbie can take Cyclotron and have fun without any hack.

I also learned 3 things:

1. Conflict Scanner makes life easier but you don't "need" it, you will notice this tiny skull when it is a pirate controlled system. I wished I knew sooner.
2. I didn't know the galaxy map has a free view mode, it is sooooooooo much easier to find pirate/any system that way
3. I found Korvax Dreadnough, warped to another system after that, it was also a Korvax pirate controlled system, the game stopped spawning the Dreadnough. Don't jump to another pirate system during the Dreadnought farming.

TL:DR: If you aren't after Dreadnought freighter, Class-S freighter tech, ignore me.

Alright, I will try to don't talk too much 😂

• Korvax Dreadnought S25-13 always. I got it 3 times
• it should take you 40 minutes to find it, it is consistent with the Vy'keen S25-13 I had. I DO NOT reload the restore point like people do, I warp out, create restore point at the space station/freighter every 4-5 times or so and warp back in, 40 min unless I am doing something wrong coz folks are taking 1-3h if not more otherwise. Do let me know just out of curiosity.
• This system is also giving Class-S tech, but it gets better, second glyph coming....

I noticed that if a system is giving Class-A tech, another system connected to it, is also and bingo.

• The system next door to the pirate system is also giving Class-S tech and where I got all those 6 unique Class-S tech, 18 in the total shared above in one go
• Newbie friendly, some are Dead Space hard like no joke but not this one, this one only have little flying silly robots, they do some damage so have something if you wanna loot, there is a toooon to loot.
• If you just wanna run, 55s from the sealed door opening to the computer, no joke, with boost boot or something, half of the time
• After those 18x Class-S, 3x for each tech, I started getting duplicated. I got the most important already.

It'll just point you a sentinel pillar, you can get logs, a multitool and deactivate sentinels on a planet, not really what you're aiming for in that case

Just make sure you have the shield module on your multitool
