Depending on how far along you are in the game... If you're super hard set on a specific model and even color: One option is to get the coordinates from other players to get to a specific ship type or design a little easier. We have #explorers-archive where players have posted some ship coordinates, you may want to try searching for the keyword "squid" there.

And there's also the trading route. If you find a player with a specific model, they can "trade" it. There is this pin #nms-legacy-ships message about how to do ship "trades."

Or you can use the NMS "service bot" which you can inquire about in their Discord. Type !CreativeHubLink in #bot-spam if you'd like to explore that route.

And for additional gameplay guidance you can also ask in #nms-questions.

They are rare. They can potentially land at either outposts or space station although some people find them on crash sites randomly

Usually pure tankfoots come with a small rectangle thruster out the back of the head. This one has a rather neat short spine thruster there instead. Good find

Really depend on what you want

All around best is going to be a Sentinel Interceptor, the only ship class with VTOL, and has the best ship weapon in the game. The Infraknife Accelerator

Can push hundreds of thousands of damage in seconds, can outmaneuver on a dime, has a ridiculous hyperdrive range/potential, doesn't take damage from blackhole travel, has the most modular diversity, and to top it all off it doesnt use a butthole as a gun! (Im looking at you Living Ships!)

[Thats not a joke please dont warn me, it literally says in its description that it uses sphincters as weapons, the sphincter is a rectal muscle!]

Just remember that a glyph portal will only take you to the ships system if your in its dimension. For example you would not of got to this ship through a Euclid portal. That's why I brought you to Hilbert to use a Hilbert portal

It's really not, you have to fly around for ages instead of just popping an echolocator, doing a bit of math, and then flying right to the crash. Only exception is when they found a natural s class as that will only spawn at that site

hello, a few days ago ship salvaged changed in my game. now you can only make back less than you paid for the ship when you salvage. is this how it works now or is it a bug? anyone else experiencing this? I'm on PC/latest game version.

Go to options in the game menu and set crafting to free them you can build any Corvette you want with no cost
