Each system has one model exotic in its 21 ship pool. So finding three is rare due to the rate, but them being the same in that system is guaranteed

Here are some methods to locate a sentinel interceptor

1. Use a Dreadnought AI fragment, obtain this from defeating a sentinel dreadnought which spawns at a 5 wave sentinel alert level when in ship combat. You can also get these from nexus missions or returning combat frigate missions.

2. Obtain and use an echo locator, obtain an echo locator from dissonant resonators on dissonant planets, they appear as drill like structures, destroying resonators will net either inverted mirror or an echo locator, a resonator has a 20% chance to drop an echo locator. Use the locater to locate a dissonant camp, interact with the camps terminal and lift the seal, once lifted you can use the terminal to locate an interceptor crash site.

3. Defeat 5 waves of corrupted sentinels located on dissonant planets. Defeating 5 waves completely will give you the location to a dissonant spike (crashed interceptor)

Fly around. Shoot down Dissodent resonators until one drops a echo locator. Activate the locator in your inventory. It will take you to a harmonic camp and it finds the ships for you. You can keep triggering them off too until you get the class you want

The blue and yellow tipped tankfoot have the spines too but you can't see them because the ship is docked and they are folded in. The big winged sentinels fold Thier wings in docked and spread them out in flight

I have no idea how often they run so hoping someone could fill me in on if they do run the expeditions again or is it a one time only thing? Or even if it’s possible to get it from another player?

We have no information pointing to the Starborn Runner or it's expedition coming back, they usually don't redo expeditions besides at the end of the same year they release
You could get one from another player trading theirs' to a lifeform, who you can then claim it from

You have the person trading it to you exchange with an npc and then before the npc leaves the person receiving buys it from them. They do bring back old expeditions during redux which last year was around the holidays between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Further investigating it, it's not a ugly light orange but a dark orange. This ship would have been quite epic in either white or dark red. I've encountered so many sentinels but never a winged flea. This is unique to me and I dig the U shape in flight. Yeah..... I think I'm going to grind out a better class on this.

The color of ships is determined by the same thing that determines their shape, they can't be the same ship with different colors unless through pure coincidence

all the sentinels should look the same on the planet - you just need an echo locator (found by killing certain sentinels), to find an autophage camp and use its computer to find the dissonance spike for a ship, or if you have a Carrier AI Fragment it'll take you straight to one (can't remember how to get the fragments though)

It is in Eissentam Galaxy, so if you did not use a portal in that galaxy then you will not be sent to the system the ship is located in

Glitch ships do still exist. I've found ships (and seen them in the anomaly) where wings are missing but they still have thrusters on the wing tips. Just a floating black pipe with thrusters on the end of them

well, it depends on the ship type. fighters, haulers, shuttles, explorers, and solar sailers can be straight up bought from whichever NPC has them. you can also buy them, salvage them for specific parts, and make your own

If youre looking for sentinel ships, you can either aggro sentinels and go into space then fight interceptors until the sentinel freighter spawns. Defeat it for an ai thing which you use to locate a fallen sentinel ship. You can also kill the corrupted sentinels in a dissonant planet (find a system that says dissonant below the system name) and occasionally they'll drop an echo. Use the echo to find a sentinel camp, interact with the computer and solve the riddle. Once you solve it locate dissonance spike

There’s a coordinate exchange subreddit in NMS too, I use the search function and type “Jackal Shielded Drill” (example) and it shows me results that match. Been screenshotting photos and coordinates to check out at a later date

Note that each star system has 21 different ship designs, so if you've already seen like 3 ships with parts you don't need then changing systems is a good idea

Can check the coordinate exchange subreddit/website and use the search function for a particular combination. I’m new so I am still learning the intricacies of part/ship hunting. Once I see a few ships of a specific type and they start to repeat I move on to the next system and see what they have.

There are also the shuttles that have a chance to be replaced, like how in outlaw systems Shuttles have a extremly high chance to be replaced with solar ships

As long as you have not claimed it while he is in your MP session or instance, if you have and the ship isn’t at the site your friend will need to leave the group, save and reload to have the ship appear for them.

Outside of this if you haven’t claimed it then the ship will be the same for your friend.

My suggestion would be to salvage wreaked ships for units/nanites and invest those earnings into purchasing a ship.

This way you won’t have to worry about repairing and depending on ship you may get a reasonable return.

If the model of ship is something you like Note that each system has 21 models of standard ship, so that ship model will likely appear as an NPC ship at a trade outpost or station.

I got into another system that way. Went to a featured base, jumped in my ship and went off planet. Found a random system, built a base that contained a deepwater structure. Built a warp point and powered it. Allowed me to hunt in another system for awhile. Used my warp point to get back to Hilbert.

As a newbie, I’ll preface by saying I don’t know the most efficient/extreme methods.

That being said, most of my units have come from analysis visor upgrades on supercharged slots. Depending on rarity, I get anywhere from 40k-450k per scan. Feels more natural as I make my way through the Atlas Path. Sitting on 80m, probably spent double that on various ships/upgrades/etc.

Even so these are unreliable to show for other platforms or even at all, if you want to share specifics like class, SC arrangement ect you’ll need to provide the lat/long coordinates.

On this, would be a good idea to provide an actual image of the ship for players to see what they are going to.

Finding 3 that are S is no guarantee that others will have similar luck, keep in mind the low percentage for S class spawns even in outlaw or tier 3 systems.

Well I will record the location tomorrow so i don't lose it until you can enter the galaxy. Having the glyphs alone won't work. You need to get to Hilbert, locate a portal and then enter the glyphs. Entering the glyphs in another galaxy will result in you being sent to a random system in your own gslaxy

When you get to the planet use a echo locator. Find a harmonic camp and find the class you want. If you get low class, scrap, retrigger camp, rinse repeat. Be warned, arm yourself there are predators on that planet. I got attacked at salvage sites

Whenever I find a sweet ship and there are predators I warn people. Nothing worse than being ambushed. My favourite red and black X wing, that planet had 2 different predators. I got attacked by both on my first salvage site. I must of got 12 class C ships before a miracle happened and went back today to try again and hit a S on my 13th go. Not alot of fun hunting the ship with predators about but the ship trust me was worth the hassle

So there's a couple of ways I know of; at trading posts and at space stations they have a chance to land and you buy them; otherwise its looking for crash signals underwater or on land

Oh also going online and checking for portal coordinates

Thats really interesting, so of possible roles for damage, an interceptor could have a higher potential, but has worse sheilds and hypedrive.

One thing I don't believe there though is the Agility stat 😂 Interceptors turn so slow

I guess by agility its speed + (yaw+pitch+roll/3) / 2

Interceptors just fundamentally handle differently, and also have lower base maneuverability compared to their "agility stat" which modifies that and all upgrades added

They turn very slow unless boosting

a good trick for faster turns is to brake while turning. reduces the turning radius

But because of auto-locking in combat it doesn't quite work in NMS

This is better than the ship I found before. Black and red, micro 3 thruster top pincer ship. It's primarily Black as cockpit controls are black.
