How can you tell if it’s conflict 3*? I don’t see that on galaxy map. Oh so if it’s 3* it’s less chance of a S class. So I should go to a peaceful pirate system

If its 3 it's a chance of spawning the 100% spawn, tbh you are just better off in outlaw systems, but I just wanted to be accurate and say they can spawn in high conflict systems

Buy ancient site maps and use them until it gives you monolith - even if the map “fails” use it again - once you get monolith go there solve the puzzle (doesn’t matter if you succeed) interact with the monolith again - I believe the option is literally “locate a portal” you will need a relic of the respective species of the system you are in

i built this and it turns out it fights flies and beats out my purple solar ship they need to make those s class reactors like more expensive because at 6000 it is a crime not to build yourself a ship. i am hooked, but i also love finding gool ones too. don't be a dummy like me and buy a cool blue exotic on the expedition but not use it so i could keep it what a weenie i am but here is proof at least i still have my canary yellow one and i finaly found a cool sentinel one that was not like the usual jesus the really turned this game in to somethind sppecial

nope, there are no advantages over other capital freighters
it comes down to what you like and really that is all there is to it 🙂

i soent a day finding an s class pirate dreadnaught

the only advantage is that it is a little more powerful in terms of firepower

and its easier (for me) to orient to the landing pad

i say a little, knowing its cannons can take out capital ships (like sentinel ones) but, also that it, and all other capital ships are kind fo blind untill something pokes them

and because the larger guns cant track smaller targets at all, as cool as it is to see the big lasers go off when they try

it was worth it for the sheer cackling that happens when my friends see my warp it in

fwiw, your freighter will never engage in direct combat so firepower is not really a feature. You do however, get combat upgrade modules that you insert into your freighter, but those are for frigate combat missions.

the only time my freighter shoots at things is if im within very close distance and those things warp in to attack/ or if i warp it in before combat begins. the only real effectiveness is that it shortens your combat support response time, and the little anti-craft guns do break up the enemy fighter coordination

like i said, they're blind unless they get poked.

some things have to shoot the freighter before it orients the big cannons on it XD

i guess the lasers work as an early warning system to not hang out in my ship in pirate systems

that all said, it still is up to you what you like and what you enjoy seeing when you play the game. some people like dreadnoughts and some like capital freighters, choice is yours! 😄

Just picked this up, and HOLY COW was NOT disappointed. Built a little safe house near the crash site since it's sentinal heavy. All it needed was the three thrusters instead of a single, but who cares (not me at the moment). IT IS A BEAUTYYYYY.

It's on Sudzerbal, there are the glyphs on the bottom left. I have a base computer there called Charred HH LS Full Armor. If anyone would like to grab it hmu in my direct messages. I have a bunch of work stuff to do tomorrow but I'll be online that evening!

These are living ships :). You have to buy a void egg off the anomaly and do the quest. I think it takes 4 irl days.

After you finish it, get your first ship, etc. Then you can buy another. Keep it in your inventory and pulse around and you'll get a prompt from another livingship, it's the guide. It'll ask if you wish to hatch the egg again and you say yes. It'll show you the newest one. Since this is your second one it costs 10k nanites to claim it. If you don't like it you just reject it and go back into space. Pulse again. Repeat. I do this a ton cause I'm after a particular one.

For example, I just hatched an egg and this popped up. I did not claim it, but it's pretty much solid red with some grey details. I included the coords and the glyphs in the images, this is on Sudzerbal. This particular planet has some beautiful Living Ships :).

I've used the nautilon to locate submerged crash sites, but haven't ever used the minotaur to do the same on land, so I have no feedback.

I just buy the distress signal charts from the station vendor to locate crash sites.

a crashed ship can only have one person claim it at a time. if you have mp on there is always a chance that someone (not in your party) will scoop it up from under you. this is why the Youtube tutorials for getting ships always recommend to disable mp before you enter the system.

alternatively. ive found this bug where if im hosting, and find a certain class of sentinel or crashed ship, that itll spawn multiple instances of that ship, i got two of my friends a b class that way XD

ive also been told when hunting for exotics to visit trade outposts in wealthy systems, the economy only seems to count for how many ships show up per reload

Test it on a system where I've posted 5 ship freighter battle. You can portal there, make base computer. When you get freighter battle, reload to previous system, teleport to base, take off, warp out to an uncharted system then warp in to trigger battle

It's a solo game primarily, any ship is fine

Combat isn't particularly difficult

And either enough upgrades the ships equalize more, the specializations of each type matter more out the box but they're less pronounced the more you upgrade

Especially when it comes to cargo space

You could use a shuttle and max it out if you want and it'd be fine (I have brought my first main ship after my starter to A so far up from C, and it was a shuttle, but I also have others)

Fighters (the starter ship style) are generally a pretty good all-rounder and do the best in combat

So hard to go wrong

Hmm, did it work after the host restarts their session, I had this occur with a cockpit only ship and this resolved the issue.

Alternatively the player might be able to claim the ship directly from interacting with the cockpit.

There are plenty of player posted discoveries here and on the coordinates exchange on Reddit and in their discord https://discord.gg/z7FHw2TX you can search through there and you will likely find a model you like with coordinates.

If you want an S class specifically you will have to continue searching various interceptor crash sites in the same system in the hopes for a nat S, the economy of a system determines the percent chance for a site to be a certain class, Tier 3 economy is 2% for example. Some player posts do include the lat/long coords for an S class.

Alternatively I would suggest just upgrading the class and focusing more on getting the model you like and SC layout you like

I read that the decals change with the reactor class. So, if you want a different decal, change the core. YOu can always upgrade the core later with nanites.

is it possible for the exotic to not spawn during the battle, but still come in for a landing after the last pirate is killed?
for testing, i've now visited several different systems to trigger the 5 pirate rescue, and each time during the battle i don't see the exotic flying around.

Interesting today I made three trades with the wraith, one with a person on PS that would refuse to work and the other was on steam, but the one that did work was on Xbox same platform I am on, when I did my first trade with the wraith that was to a person on Xbox aswell and that worked.

I usually use 1st person view on ship, after battle you can swap targets and see it on target 3d image at bottom right. Occasionally it does get blown up, or sometimes its fighting a friendly cause of friendly fire

How do I find sentinel ships I don't have all the glyphs

Glyphs aren’t required to locate sentinel ships, you can use these to locate an interceptor.

1. Use a Dreadnought AI fragment, obtain this from defeating a sentinel dreadnought which spawns at a 5 wave sentinel alert level when in ship combat. You can also get these from nexus missions or returning combat frigate missions.

2. Obtain and use an echo locator, obtain an echo locator from dissonant resonators on dissonant planets, they appear as drill like structures, destroying resonators will net either inverted mirror or an echo locator, a resonator has a 20% chance to drop an echo locator. Use the locater to locate a dissonant camp, interact with the camps terminal and lift the seal, once lifted you can use the terminal to locate an interceptor crash site.

3. Defeat 5 waves of corrupted sentinels located on dissonant planets. Defeating 5 waves completely will give you the location to a dissonant spike (crashed interceptor)
