The game - especially space combat - is not hard. I prefer my ship’s appearance and handling over the family benefits I would’ve been able to get if the supercharged slots were ideal.

Fleas are tiny and can fit in tiny places. I value that more than a slight edge in dps.

I didn't see anything in the pins about ship construction, am I just blind/silly? I've been trying to build a hauler with vulture parts, but the actual vulture has much better maneuverability. If I invest in one of these built ships, will the stats grow proportionally, or will it just end up ~70 points lower? Also if I keep trying to build in different systems will I eventually match the original? Needs to be 3 star economy? A mod on here told me that there's no difference between the vulture and a normal hauler despite the rest of the internet saying other things. I just want to build a cool ship

I was looking for a ship with the bottom x wing and the wings on the top and I finally found one. If you want to get this one you will need a "Carrier AI Fragment" to find this ship in the system. Its in Euclid. Its a C class but I just upgraded it to S class

Without experimenting myself I can't really answer your question, I've made exactly 2 ships. My best guess is that an Original Vulture, will have its own stats. Any fabricated hauler ship is basically a transmog skin over a random hauler seed, and I'm guessing the stats will be of the random hauler. As with all ships there will be a stat range that it will fall between and in this case the stat range will be what is set for haulers. As the seed for the original vulture and fabricated vulture will be different, it will have different stats

As far as I'm aware, I may be in error, but I believe you don't see the true stats of the ship you are fabricating until after you have built it. I believe also the true way of comparing stats is to remove all tech items from ships, or view in a save editor.

I'm also guessing the random hauler seed that is transmog over will be set for that system, as that is why maybe sc slots change. Again, this is all a guess

1 of the ships in have built was a white Vulture, and once upgraded it felt good for a hauler, tbh the upgrade mods will probably make more of a difference than the base stats

I know with Original ships in general, you only see the true stats of the ship, once you have bought it of the trader, and sat in it

The vulture is still a hauler, and will have the stats of a hauler, the only difference is i think it can hover like a sentinel

I've tried building my ship in about 5 different 3-star economy systems, and the stats each time were remarkably consistent. at least maneuverability was, which is really the stat I'm most concerned about. I compared it to a stripped down vulture and it was always around 70 points better than built haulers, even when I built them before comparing. I guess I'm trying to figure out if the rumoured iron vulture specific, impossible normally for a hauler maneuvering boost is real, and something that'll make a noticable difference. if it is I'll throw all my pre-packaged god-roll x-class modules in the original. if not, I'll probably want to grind out a custom one

Doesn't work that way for freighters. If somebody shows up they'll have a chance to see the same freighter as an S class. But only certain things are static with their class

Multi-tools, crashed ships, and living frigates are all static class. But not freighters and ships that randomly spawn at will

Hey all, So there is a glitch in the terminal on the Anomoly which allows you to create multiple copies of the ship you finished the expedition in.

I think it takes 24 hours to reset - but you can create a copy every day as long as you have renamed or archived the ship. - does not seem to do it for Multitools.

Anyway - does anyone want a copy of the Wraith as I have 3 (I for each of my kids once they get a bit further into the game)

S class chance, as with other ship types (that are not exotic), largely depends on economy level of the system you are in. In a 1 star system for example, there is little to no chance of finding an s class

You aren't limited to just one, each trail also provides +1% boost speed and buffs Artemis, Polo and Tentacled figurines if adjecent (they also have small hidden bonuses, Polo +5% maneuverability and Artemis +5% boost speed)

Only one trail will have a visual effect, they have an order

Chromatic will always be the one you will see if installed, after that isthe red trail iirc

All ships can be scrapped at the Ship thing in the space station for 1 part (like a fighter can give you wings engines or cockpits) and in terms of where to find more of a certain ship type

Gek Systems = Haulers
Korvax Systems = Explorers
Vy'keen Systems = fighters

And to find crashed ships you can exchange nav data for emergency charts at any cartographer

Wasn't expecting it, but found this S-Class today in Euclid. It doesn't have all 4 super charged slots too close together, but it still built out fairly decently. Starting stats are pretty good.
I left a yellow save beacon at the crash site, and the portal has a comms beacon with the coordinates. 🙂

Can someone help me with a ship question? I just got a second ship that was crashed on a planet. How do I get both my ships to my freighter? Every time I land there, there’s only the one I came in and it’ll give me an option to switch but not summon each one.

You should be able to summon the crashed ship to your freighter even if it's not repaired. If not, it might already be in your freighter hanger.

How do I find crashed ships?

• Head to a cartographer at any space station.
• Buy at least 5 Planetary Charts (Distress Signal).
• Fly to the surface of a planet (not an abandoned planet)
• Use the Planetary Chart (on PC this is the ‘E’ key)
• A distress beacon point of interest will be marked in worldspace
• Travel to the location with your starship

Note that 5 types of distress beacon points of interest will spawn; Abandoned Building, Crashed Freighter, Crashed Starship, Crashed Starship with NPC, and Observatory.

Use all the maps in your inventory, until the ‘Distress Beacon’ point of interest is spawned.

Gleam means that you reload save, wait for 1st wave, if no exotic, then reload again and rinse and repeat. Some people consider it faster to reload the save, than wait for another wave of ships to come without reloading. I personally don't reload. It also depends i suppose how fast your system/console is and how fast it can reload game.

This only works at trade outposts, ships spawn different at space stations. At trade outposts the waves have random ships each time, but space stations seem to have a set sequence

I personally don't reload, i just go semi afk and listen for the exotic ship distinctive engine noise as it lands.

stats and SC layout depend on part combination and the system you assemble it in, so once you find the parts you like, keep checking different systems until one of them lets u assemble into good enough layout and stats. iirc the preview stats before assembling are not always accurate, gotta assemble the ship, make sure its your current active ship, and look thru scanner to see stats more accurately, can reload save after if its not good enough for u

found this purty one the other day in Euclid, she starts off as C-class, but if you upgrade to S, three supercharger slots stack together in an L-config, with the 4th a little ways off. it still can load-out pretty nicely depending on what you need. Here are the coordinates for anyone interested in getting it: -0.96, -65.05....I actually found two of them nearly identical, the other one is at: +13.099, +156.974....happy hunting!

You cant, to reroll freighter class, you have to make a save before you warp into system, and then when you have checked the freighter class, reload save so it takes you back to previous system and warp back in, do battle again and check freighter again. I think that is how it works, I can't say as I havnt done it for a while, as last few saves, I've used non capital freighters

@winged knoll for freighter rerolls. find a freighter you like check it out, warp out warp back, it should be there.

Like in the case of the pirate dreadnought, blow their engines, and their big freighter cannons, land, check the rank, warp out of system if you dont like it, warp back to the system with the pirate dreadnought, ship should still be there, rinse and repeat until you get the freighter of your choice

since pirate dreadnoughts are always attack a civilian ship, you can check both ships, until you find one you like

Pirate dreadnought fights are different i think as they dont always use the 3 hrs 5 warp mechanic. As far as I'm aware, with regular capital freighter battles, as soon as you move away from the battle or warp away, the counter restarts, and the battle won't be there when you reenter. Pirate Dreadnought fights are different as they CAN happen everytime you warp into a system if you are lucky to find a system with a 100% spawn

Can anyone tell me why an interceptor with a lower base maneuverability gets 600 more maneuverability than a squid with the same upgrades in the same SC slots? Like literally the exact same. Do interceptors get a bonus to it or am I missing something?

For a fighter, I believe so long as the system is Vy'keen. And the economy is high

You'll have the best chance of S-class Fighters spawning

Any system has a base 33% of spawning a fighter class
