Also, in my experience, the best way to find them is to fly low and slow and keep an eye on the HUD for the little icon

I'm guessing the drop rate for the echo locator is around 20%-25%, I find them fairly easily

When two modules from the same family (e.g. Infra-knife) are next to each other they get a small boost, one module gets a buff for each neighbour it has (there are also some more variables but thats the gist of it)
Look how the DPS changed after I moved the Q-Resonator and its no longer touching the main infra-knife tech

Adjacent supercharged slots allow to benefit from both Supercharging a tech and the adjacency bonus

Sharing this amazing Orange, Black and White Sentinel ship I found today. Starts as B-Class but gets a fantastic, T-shape super charge layout when upgraded to S-Class. Planet address and coordinates along with the name of the base I built beside it in next images

When trying to get a first living ship found through a web post coordinates, I need to keep rebooting until the coordinates to follow are on that same planet, right?

I keep getting sent to a same nearby planet 4-5 times. But it's a different living ship.

Eventually, it'll randomly give coordinates to my current target planet? it's that how it works? Any way to improve the odds?

So if you're not fond of the designs or their SC slots you'll have to scrap them and look for better ones

1. Are you in the right system, model is the same for all interceptors in any given system.
2. Any crash site on a dissonant planet in that system will have that interceptor model.

Omega means any interceptor crash site on a dissonant planet in the system, will have the model.....interceptor and regular ship crash sites can co exist on the same planet, at least they used too, not checked for a long while though

This is correct, it’s better to recruit c class frigates with less than 4 expeditions and low fuel usage except for Living Frigates as they always spawn with 0 expeditions completed.

Regardless @magic inlet if a player was next to a Frigate or Freighter their S class won’t be the same for you.

the first quest yes: youll have various steps which will include having to wait up to 24h until being able to move on to the next.
upon completing that 1st quest, you no longer need to wait tho (that's when the fun hunting begins)

Yes each egg allows you to get one ship. But if you dont like the design of the ship and tell it to go away once you see it the ship will give you the egg back. Which then you can keep hunting

I mean. They are called Exotic Ships. All of the mare S tier by default
Ways of finding exotic in a system are one of the following:

1. Way at a trade outpost / space station. They will spawn. ( Usually wait first wave as usually 4-5 ships arrive at Trade Outpost ; if not there. Reload save )
2. Crash ships . Use maps or you can use Minotaur. Minotaur has a higher chance to give you a Distress Signal as it gives you the most nearby one, closest one to you.
   This way, when you use your ship to go to the crash site, you will fly somewhere usually betwee 30 seconds to 1:30 min
3. Underwater Crash Ships They also spawn there. It's more effective than maps, as it takes you straight to one. However, you need to have the Nautilius

And yes exotics that land in stations/at trading posts are fairly pricey. Between 30 million to 60 million units. Crashed ones are free but as there is only one type of exotic per star system the odds of finding that one crash site among all the others are very slim

When it comes to exotic crash sites, Im not sure even if there is a crashed version on every planet/system, I know the 2 Ive found took me over 3 hours to find, and I dont see the point after a while cause I could get regular version much faster using various techniques.

Unfortunetely, it only works during the regular freighter battle the one with 3 hours and 5 warps, non dreadnought battle. Only also works with systems whose freighter battle only has 5 enemy ships. Basically on STEAM, when the freighter battle starts with 5 enemy ships, the system exotic is guarenteed to spawn to help you fight. IF it doesnt die during battle, it will land at the station after the battle

A guaranteed exotic spawn via these methods may not work for everyone.

Setting up:

• Meet the time requirement to encounter a freighter rescue battle (3 hours of playtime and 5 ship warps since the last battle). Until then, always exit ship to update restore point slot before ship warping out to another system.

• If using glyphs, reach the target galaxy and portal to your desired system. Then warp out to a nearby uncharted system, drop and claim a base computer.

Doing the above ensures that when the battle triggers in some random system, you can always reload restore point, teleport to claimed base computer, exit ship once more to update restore point and ship warp out to your target glyphs system nearby.

• A freighter battle should trigger and you will fly towards the capital ship. Upon getting close to the freighter, the game will inform you how many attackers (pirates) are present (see image link »). If there are 5, proceed. If there are 8 attackers, the exotic won't always spawn, so it is recommended you try a different system.

• You can reload restore point to search for different exotic designs through many systems, until you find a system that has both 5 attackers and the exotic design you want.

Once you decide that you want to get the current system's exotic, you have two methods you can try:

Method 1:
• Rescue the npc freighter and dock with it. You should see the ships heading towards it as well and the exotic will land shortly thereafter. You can reload restore point and rewarp back into the same system and redo the battle to respawn/reroll exotic stats.

Method 2:
• Note: Only use this method if you're certain that you'll have the units to get the ship, as exiting ship in space station will overwrite restore point save slot, removing the ability to reload to the previous system and redo the battle if you need to for some reason. Exotics go for about 40M units.

• Toggle through the friendly ships to find which one is the exotic. You will have to find the exotic by actually seeing it. (see image link »)

• Kill the pirate the exotic is focused on. Kill each pirate the exotic is focused on. If the exotic doesn't go after another pirate, follow it to the space station.

• Once the exotic is close to the station, land in the station. The exotic may fly a couple rounds around the station. Then whenever the exotic flies in, buy it.

Another way I used to use was Freighter - Pulse method, If you dont own many ships, and own a freighter, you can pulse your ship for 4 seconds, come out of pulse and summon freighter, some npcs should then spawn and land in freighter, if you scan them in space and look for exotic, if no exotic spawn pulse again, if it spawns see if it lands. Obviously less ships you own = more landing pads in freighter they can land at and so more ships can land. Might not be worth it if you own more than 1 or 2 ships

1. Those purple slots are important, they are called supercharged bc they boost technology in them greatly, don't put economy scanner there bc it doesn't benefit from the boost

2. Modules of the same family when placed next to each other recive a minor buff. Having them in random places like you have them here is holding your ship back

You can easily make your ship much better by just rearranging what you already have there

The conflict level only affects the chances of encountering a dreadnaught afaik. Its the economy that determines the chances for S-Class ships. A 2 star economy like that only gives roughly a 3ish(?) percent chance for S-Class

Which is why I recommend pirate systems. They have a slightly lower chance of spawning a S-Class than a 3 star, booming economy with perilous conflict but it's much easier to find a pirate system than 3 star economy system with that kind of conflict

And pirate systems also have a higher chance to spawn dreadnaught battles when first loading into them than perilous economy systems anyway

I found an S class, took me a bit of Save Scumming though.

yeah took me forever to finally find a S-Class

Save scumming is, You find a "Frieghter in trouble" event. Finish it. Jump 4 times. In the fourth System get out in the space station and get that saving point. Then jump to another system(Preferably a Pirate or High Economy system) When you find the Dread, do what it takes to subdue it. Jup out once you board it and use the scanner to preview it. If it's not S, reset to your save on the station and do it exactly the same again. The freighter always has a chance to be a higher or lower class each tim you do it. I got lucky in about 12 attempts.

So you take a portable refiner and place the item you want to duplicate in it, them open the build menu again and place another refiner so close to the one already there that their hitboxes are overlapping. Then place as many more refiners as you want, and then hold the pickup button until they're all in your inventory, and you'll have one echolocator per refiner.

there is 20% chance for the resonators to drop a echo locator, fighting all five waves of the corrupted sentinels and you get a ship directly, unlike a regular or aggressive planet they give you a pilar coordinates, i suggest a supercharged minotaur and a supercharged plasma launcher. it works and sometimes the glass purple glass sometimes gives you a pillar map or an echo locator.

If you are looking for higher class its best to not interact with the ship, scan it to see its class, walk closer to clear the marker and go back for another spike. You should get a different one.

It may happen that game will start to sending you to the same crash site after you interact with the ship and start the salvage mission

Simple fix is to just not touch the ship unless you want to commit to it

I have tried to hunt ships with glyphs only to find 20 bases around the area and no ship, I’m a newb but dang.

Go to where there is a comms station. And get out of your ship, and save progress using your ship. Next, disable multiplayer, and reload the save. That might help you out.

I'm pretty sure there are other work-arounds with this.
