Because the mods you open are procedural. So if you open a stack of x class mods, reload the game again, and open the same stack, they will always be the same, in that order. But the class doesn’t matter, so you can interchange the class mods to save your higher tier mods

It's because most people stay in Euclid or set up a permanent base in Euclid, so most of the ships found are there too

The only thing I would say actually changes spawns is if it somehow affects how certain races spawn in systems, for example you're gonna find fighter ships more often in Vy'keen systems

Seed is a code game uses to generate things like ships, multitools and a whole bunch of other things in the game (Even upgrade modules have seeds)
If you were to use a save editor to replace seed of an interceptor you own to the seed of another interceptor it would change its model to that of said interceptor

We don't judge playstyle, if you want to use a save editor or mods or duplication glitches or any glitches at all its completely up to you
( save editors can sometimes even be used to fix broken save files if you know how to use them)

as for consoles in general Not really possible to use save editors, you have to somehow get your save to a pc in a form that can be edited (one of Game passes allows you to transfer your save to PC i believe)

Either way, Questions about Save editing are better directed to #nms-modding as people there will have more experience with things like that

You could always go to a system with a confirmed red squid, and spend several hours checking 100s of crash sites on planets for the crashed version. Someone has to do it to find these crash sites 🤷‍♂️

On your 10th warp there will be a dreadnought battle, destroy the freighter and you can seize it or get money. The method I’ve see used is to save at space station in different system before your 10th warp that way if you fight the freighter and it isn’t a S-class you would simply reload restore point and try again

1. You MUST own a freighter

Yes, afaik only iron vulture wings light up and its the wings that give the ship hover property

I'm currently trying to rebuild a new hauler using iron vulture parts. I asked in general for people's favorite hauler wings but I guess my comment got lost in the wind.

ngl the supercharged slots are spread and arent very good what id would do if you still can reloud restore point before you upgraded it and go back to the planet you found it and keep searching for more sentinal ships on the same planet bc theres one sentinal ship design per planet but theres multiple of it ,each having different class and supercharge layout

an interceptor is better with atleast 3 connected supercharge slots or atleast 2 connected with 1 nearby it

They are fine, people get obsessed with sc slots on ships when it doesn't matter as much. You can either use the sc slots on multiple systems, such as shields, guns etc, or you can use for one thing as just lose a small adjacency bonus. It will be able to do content just fine.

maneuverability also increases the boost and pulse drive speed and you can insta kill sentinals in space fights with a good infra knife acceleator weapon with close sc slots

If looking for sc slots on sentinels, its been observed, that when ships are upgraded, the same 3 slots are uncovered, so if you know which 3 sc slots appear, it might be easier to find a better sc slot placement. The only ones with truly different s slots will be s class ones.

No I sometimes wonder when looking for ships that ships in a concentrated area have similar designs or colours. For example, I once found 2x squids in two systems separated by 16ly

Both works constructing one is more expensive though since you gotta buy multiple ships of the same type (class doesn't matter) and either 9k nanits for a S class Reactor or buying a S class for the Reactor meaning yea finding one can be easier but as said you cannot construct every ship type only the basic ones

I personally did both since I got a S class Reactor gifted so I obtained a S class ship by finding a Exotic one sadly don't know the system anymore but it's a Beautiful red guppy and made a solar ship S class which I'm still using for many different things like exploration combat and such its not the best but it's good enough

It can sometimes trigger a first wave spawn if you're lucky. You may have to reload several times before they spawn in first wave though.

It can be, a lot depends on how fast your hardware is at loading the save. I personally do not reload as I feel its too much like a grind then, like save scumming for freighters.

I have been using one on my alt account. I am an asp explorer stan myself and my main account has more hours in my AspX than all my other ships combined. I am excited to try the Mandalay though. It seems like a very good ship.

It probably depends on the economy level of the system. I have in the past spent an hour searching crash sites, and the best I found was a B Class. If its a 1 star system, there is virtually no chance of an S Class. Even 3 star systems only have 2% chance.

kill civilian freighters for mass farming freighter upgrade modules (like hyperdrive jump range, fleet fuel efficiency and the like) - stick to systems belonging to one race only since you'll tank your rep (rep can be restored to 0 with forged passports avaliable usually at outlaw bounty missions)

When you reach 5 "stars" for your wanted lvl when in space a Sentinel Freighter shows up and you need to destroy it or flee. They cannot be claimed.
To get the Sentinel Freighter yourself, you have to rescue one during a Freighter Defense Battle.

I have 2 questions

1. Do feighter defense battles and pirate dreadnought encounters overlap or are they completely independent
2. do i have to warp with my freighter to initiate the freighter defence?

1. Both, they can be instead of a regular freighter battle, but also they can be indepedant of the regular freighter battle. Normal Freighter battles have a 5 jump and 3 hour timer. Pirate Dreadnoughts can be one of these battles. Also they can spawn independently of this timer.

2. Jumping in freighter will not contribute to the 5 jumps needed. Neither will it trigger the battle. They must be done in your regular starship.

they still need name or number of the galaxy, Euclid is the first galaxy where everyone starts for example
There are 256 galaxies and if they use glyphs you gave in a different galaxy then they will end up in a different system and wont find the ship

There are couple of ways to reach different galaxies

• Core Warp takes you to the next galaxy on the list, so Core of Euclid will take you to Hilbert Dimension, Hilbert to Calypso etc etc

• At the end of the main story you can chose to go to a different galaxy, you chose type of the galaxy you want to go to and game will take you the next galaxy on the list of that type. If you chose lush while in Euclid you will go to Eissentam (10th galaxy) That's one time thing tho.

Both of the above will result in damaging all installed technology in your exosuit, starship and multitool so its advised to package exosuit technology and switch to multitool and ship you dont mind getting broken (Some players keep a separate ship specifically for intergalactic travel)

• you can also teleport to different galaxies if you have a base there or use bases featured on the space anomaly teleporter (most of them are in different galaxies)

• You can join another player and they can take you to a different galaxy, we call that taxi. Then you can drop a base and be able to teleport there whenever you want. There is a Discord server dedicated to helping other player reach different places in NMS universe, Star Cabs

Those 2 don't cause any DMG to your technology

Those pictograms are a glyph adress, you can use them at a portal to get to a system with that ship. You need to unlock 16 glyphs to use portals properly

Glyphs are unlocked at the end of the main story, the artemis path. That's one way of unlocking them

Story acts as a tutorial to different mechanics, it will show you what portals are

Iow: do the main story, it'll show you how things work

Those are component pieces, not whole ships like in the other part of the infographic. A System Freighter will have different combinations of those components. There are a ton of different permutations and they can be quite interesting that way. I personally prefer system freighters to capital/Dreadnaught freighters.

Interestingly, those are all nose pieces. The main body has variations, and can even have “wings” too in a fashion, I believe. The short, medium, long variations to those main bodies also exist.

there is a blueprint that rarely drops from frigate expeditions, which manufactures an item that is used to encounter a living frigate for the first time. after that is done, you can encounter living frigates once per system by pulsing until the message "whalesong detected" pops up

Option 2 will give you 1st grade math problems to solve. You solve them and go back to main root and option 1 and using the numbered glyphs, you get the computer unlocked.

As Zarx has said, the size is the starting size of inventory slots. Different parts on ships, give greater starting inventory slots. The wiki post you have posted, shows the parts for haulers. For fighters, medium is the droid wings, and large is the large rectangles you get on the side of the cockpit. Obviously more starting slots were obviously sought after as less upgrading to do.

I'm not sure if using these parts to fabricate a ship also gives more starting inventory or not. Maybe someone can confirm or not. If not it might be something for me to look into

1. It used to be (before station update), I hadnt realised if it changed that more ships used to land at a trade outpost, as you could land your ship on the ground next to the trade outpost and free up an extra landing pad.

2. Generally if you arnt using the reload method for waves, for example if you dont like save scumming, your HDD is slow, or if you wanna chill and just let the waves come and go, the trade outposts are less prone to bugging, ie waves all of a sudden stopping for slightest thing.

You need to go to the planet/system the ship is found at via the portal glyphs, input those glyphs (normally in the the lower left corner of the screenshot) into the portals control console.
Then once you're through the portal you either go to a trade outpost, the local space station, or (for crashed ships) follow the latitude/longitude coordinates that the player provided.

this type of ship is called sentinel interceptor, they can be found in any galaxy but if you want to get a specific one shared by another player then you have to go to the same system that player found it in the same galaxy (you can use **portals **to go there, but portals cant carry you between galaxies so you need to go to the right galaxy and use portal there). Once you get to the system where this interceptor was found then all interceptors in that system will look the same, but different sites might spawn different classes so if original poster provided planetary coordinates that's where you need to go to get exactly the same ship

It depends on the slots and stats. In most cases, from my experience, yes. IMO, it gets really grindy when you get to A class looking for S class, so be prepared to be comfortable with your A class for a while.

The only real world difference between c class and s class freighters, are the amount of inventory slots you can get for the main inventory of the freighter. Apart from that, they basically function the same.
