@fickle wharf to force a certain crash site to become a living ship you will need to initiate the starbirth questline that is not your first run through of the quest in that save.

Once you start the questline and get a crash site marker head to a system that is not in the galaxy you want to force a crash site, in your instance this would be any other galaxy but Euclid, once arrived reset the mission then head to Euclid/target galaxy and go to the crash site you want to force the LS, once arrived at the site reset the mission.

If the particular site doesn’t get marked by the mission reload last restore point and try again.

Only the first starbirth questline you do on a save will require the player to grow parts, all after just cost nanites to claim.

Cost is Dependent on player difficulty setting of course

ok i get it i think, ill pulse drive and hatch the egg in one system, then head to my glyph/coordinate spot in the desired system and land at the crash site, reset till i spawn a living ship?

The reset option for the mission only displays for the mission if you are a far distance from where the marker is, starting the mission in another galaxy then heading back to Euclid just guarantees the reset option will be present.

So if you get that done, then yes head to the desired crash site displayed in the post and reset/reload until it pings

Is it worth stockpiling ship augmentation modules in the hopes of getting a better ship (I have a Class A interceptor that is pretty tiny), or just using them up to kit out your current ship? They are a bit slow to farm from missions/salvaging other ships, it seems

Set up tech in squares rather than lines. You get better adjacency bonus that way.

The indium drive can add adjacency bonus with the hyperdrive if placed touching a module.

If tech is placed in a way that optimises its adjacency bonus it will be better, even as is the ship is more than enough for regular gameplay.

The modules, for hyperdrive it’s better to SC it’s best Module than the core tech

Ya I saw those three, even with that unfortunate SC position you can still get a decent result if you play around with placement.

Correct, you get a small bonus to hyperdrive if you keep those other two modules, tho it is not required to travel to red or green systems.

Instability drive is for the pulse engine, but yes you do get adjacency bonus for the pulse engine with that drive.

i didnt end the universe or whatever in the main quest

You can go through a ||galaxy core || to travel to the next galaxy, Eissentam is the 10th galaxy.

Another way is by completing the atlas questline || on the final atlas interface during that quest the player will be prompted with two options, one which is birth a new star allows the player to select a galaxy by the way of its environment, if the player selects lush they will be taken to Eissentam. ||

Alternatively you can travel to another players base, if you go to the anomaly there may be players with bases there you can use or just use one of the featured bases that is in Eissentam.

not sure about rarities. When it comes to proc gen combinations of parts it is not very clear if certain things are more weighted than others.
Best to assume any given specific combination, would be as rare as another.

I am looking for a ship that will allow me to explore easily and fly fast. I guess a good A or B class may do the job but I only have 15M... Is it possible? Ahh S class, maybe not, didnt see the S. Interceptors work off regular ship spawn rules, so it depends largly on the economic tier of system

So in short, depending on what tier star system it is, it may not spawn an S class

I usually put a base computer down at any A or B class until I find better, then if I dont find S class, I can always go back to the A and upgrade it to S class

They do have lots of turrets that will fire at fighters though if you get them close enough. Won't ever do the hard work for you though

can be. on this save I lucked out and found a hauler worth 44M units, and that was my seed money to get me rolling. will require you to repair their cargo slots tho to get better value out of them.

once you either have a decent ship for combat, or a decent loadout for on-foot combat, you can go sentinel ship hunting instead. good money to be made doing that, but you will have to fight most of the time (or find a way to farm a buncha echo locators peacefully).

either way tho, it is still some RNG, if you only finding ships worth a couple mil then it is sorta meh.

can keep on banking it for an exotic ship, when you do run into one. will set you back 20-40m-ish. guaranteed S class. they bit rare to show up, but one will eventually. in meantime keep on buying exosuit inventory slots with units.

or can save up for a nice multitool for sale, buy a decent one to get you going

if you don't love the starter ship, then don't upgrade it much, since you will either bench it or sell it later on.

If you go to pirate systems, you should eventually get a pirate freighter fight. Blow the engines first, then the 5 or 6 anti-freighter cannons and the pirate freighter should surrender. Board it and you'll be offered ownership.

I have a medium sized black Sentinel Capital Freighter, and I can ensure Sentinel Freighters have an issue. The huge Antenna on the top is on the path to leave the freighter so most of the time you hit them with your starship.

Exotic is a type like fighter, hauler, explorer. There is 1 design in every system with a space station but the spawn rate is very low at 1 in 301 or 0.3% chance. You get them in same way you get a hauler, fighter or explorer by sitting for a while in a space station or trade outpost

Question about sc layout and i will share also my experience first.
So i witnessed following sc system while hunting for interceptors (sentinel interceptors).
It goes per system and per class. -> each system has only one model of interceptors and each class will have only one specific SC layout.
What do i mean SC layout per class. All S class interceptors (as found) in one system will have only one specific SC layout. And all C class (as found) will have its own specific SC layout.
In short. Each system (dissonant ofc.) has only one interceptor model but with 4 different SC layouts per class (as found).
And now the question.
Does this rule applies to any other type of Starship? Say Exotics exist only one per system and they are always S class. Does the rule (regarding SC layout) above apply to Exotics and any other type of ships?

all ships can be upgraded to be very very strong so go with the one u like most. haulers have high shield so u can use phase beam to become basically invincible, shuttles have efficient launch thrusters but dont have very high stat bonuses but upgrades can make up for that, and explorers are fast and have the best hyperdrive bonus

I think they do kinda, the main difference I saw between Black Stealth and Iron paint, was that stealth paint showed the rivets or whatever and iron paint didnt

Wasn't it the other way? I think Ironclad has rivets / welds / rust, where as Stealth is "clean"

As for patterns, technically doable but you gotta keep in mind the same texture can be stretched / rotated on neighbouring parts of the ship

We don't see it with vanilla "full colour fill" textures, but once you try to assign even a seamless tileable texture, you will see it deform

U can get ai fragment through fight or through finding dissonant camp thats marks a crash site

if you clear a full onslaught of corrupt sentinels or find a harmonic camp, you can get sentinel ship coords

1 design per system, even if a system has more then 1 dissonant planet all interceptors will look exactly the same

Different crash sites may spawn interceptors of different classes tho

I wouldn't say faster. Once you find the camp, you can then re use it to get multiple crash sites, whereas a carrier AI Fragment will show you exactly one crash site

I dont even look at sc slots or stats. Its not worth it. I've had people "reject" a sentinel ship, cause the only thing wrong with it was it had the wrong type of eyes. Im like if people are gonna be THAT picky then they can go find their own ships.

SC slot placement in ships is overrated, I just do fine in my ship with spread out sc slots, with my s class Infra Knife upgrades, with my 75k dps

many men are colorblind in red green colors but i think the range from 34 to 37 are pink variations

After finding a Portal, how do I use it?

On one of its sides, there's a terminal - it will pop out of the ground once you approach it. Interacting with it for the first time should prompt you to charge the portal up, and that's done by individually charging up all glyphs in the glyph wheel to 100%.

» Organic: 20 Carbon, 7 Condensed Carbon, or 10 Oxygen per glyph.
» Catalytic: 10 Sodium or 4 Sodium Nitrate per glyph.
» Earth: 20 Cobalt, 20 Deuterium, 20 Di-hydrogen, 5 Ionised Cobalt, or 50 Salt per glyph.
» Stellar: 20 Copper, 10 Cadmium, 7 Emeril, 5 Indium or 10 Activated Copper per glyph.

I charged up the portal, but nothing is happening?

Double check all glyphs charge bars. Are one or more not 100% charged? - see example.

I fully charged up the portal; now, which option do I choose?

Activate Portal will display the address input screen - Each portal address is made up of 12 glyphs. A Portal can only lead to locations in the same galaxy.
Request Planet Address will provide the current planet's glyph address, though this option is barely used today, due to the glyph address also showing up in photo mode.

After selecting Activate Portal, I don't have any glyphs available to input.
You need to learn the 16 glyphs to fully use the portal network -- although, after having learned 1 - 2 glyphs you could go places, just very limited choices.

📖 Did you know? The portal you charged up should still be good for a few more trips, even to different destinations. Bookmarking it with a base computer is probably a wise choice.

it got the wings (midle wings), the shard (the lower section wing) and elytra (the upper wing which extends back) and those are perfect

and very important, is the clear view from the cockpit

Yes, usually expeditions released through the year are rerun at the end of that year

So you can still get starborn runner from expedition 12 omega and iron vulture from expedition 13 adrift

I found a sentinel ship that someone marked with a beacon in one of the expedition systems, I think it's Rendezvous 4, and when I landed near it I was greeted by a Korvax who had the usual NPC interactions.

What's interesting is that when I checked out his ship it actually showed the Sentinel interceoptor and I was able to claim it for free without jumping through the usual hoops.

Is this some obscure feature that I'm not aware of?

If anybody wants to check it out, it's marked with a red beacon, only one as far as I can tell.
