Ship does not have ? Upgrades
Ah you rite
i have a goofball like that XD
but too many weapons is just bad because you keep scrolling when you just need to phaseleach a shield
It's no good for completionist when there's tech locked to events -_-
Singularity engine is also on list of things I'd like
that one does nothing now though, unlike the photonix
Another interceptor, Calypso galaxy again.
Got another interceptor shortly after (these were both last night) and I'm pretty sure this is a dog lol
(also Calypso galaxy)
Speaking of Calypso, I'm looking forward to making it through the center to the next galaxy
there's so many hostile planets in this one lol
Yeah, I've noticed lol, all those interceptors almost got me killed trying to get
Might just go ahead and portal to the center if I have to deal with one more freaking radiation storm
It's one of the ones I don't have good protection against because I refuse to pay for exosuit upgrades and drop pods aren't a very high priority rn
Thanks 🙂
Man I wish I had a good ship
Np
To get all the storage without days worth of fusion igniter output money, I did the bold strategy of buying and scrapping every A class or above starship that entered a space station lol
for the storage augments they give
Did you get Starborn Runner?

whyyy XD
Where do you get starship ? upgades?
Mostly for completion haha, having a ship that has everything sounded like a fun thing to have
I just spent some quicksilver on the gold starship contrail to complete the look
Can you get organic frigates still?
Also another weird little interceptor, Calypso galaxy
Pretty sure they meant those don't exist
By chance can anyone help me hunt a better starship or frefighter?
This was an interesting find; I've never seen this shape before on an exotic, when it flies it's like one long line since the wings up top close up on eachother at the bottom, but the middle one stays up the whole time. Yellow and gold, this one will be called Colonel Mustard 😆
Euclid galaxy
Took over 6 hours or even more over the last couple days of just sitting and waiting at the same trading post. Worth it, in my opinion.
I NEED THOSE COORDS DUDE
Congrats on the tall yellow guy :3
Nice mosquito
I found it on this world in Calypso 👍
Good luck finding it!
I used the everything ship in a couple of battles, and found some combos go really hard lol
After using Cyclotron to mow down a ships shield, rockets nearly one shot just about anything
or if you're close range, a couple scattershots will get the job done
im starting to realize that infra knife ain’t all that good
Yea all the other weapons have their uses, but I haven't really been finding a good chance to weave it in with all the other weapons
yeah it’s kinda it’s own thing
btw for the cyclotron x rocket combo should i supercharge the cyclotron or the rockets? i have 2x2 supercharge slots
I hadn't considered supercharging rockets, mostly cause other than the craftable upgrade, there is no set of 3 upgrade modules you can get for them
you'd definitely get more mileage supercharging cyclotron
alright good to know thanks
Autophage camps
Why would three people mention it if they don’t exist?
Forbidden upgrade modules for ships?
You can get em through illegal goods, merchant in outlaw system, auto phage you get experiential exosuit upgrades
That's
From autophage camps you can get
items (upgrades for the boltcaster)
Okay I see what's going on, I thought since we're in ship hunting and the person is talking about their ship, we were talking about ship upgrades
Sorry
Photon cannon
I always mix up BC and PC
Firefly did ask about where to get ? Ship upgrades and I'm pretty sure those are only exosuits and MT
This one I found was a
but I thought I looked cool. I forgor the cords to this one (Sentinel Interceptor)
Make sure to include ship type (interceptor) color(s) and galaxy
I forgot the galaxy but I think it's the Euclid galaxy
If you haven’t swapped galaxies ever, that means you’re in Euclid
Ye I haven't swapped galaxies
looks pretty cool... your're missing something though if you want everything you gotta put allllll the starship trails and alllll the bobbleheads XD

Okay, I didn't know
Cut me some slack
Still an exotic
Go get it
Was just sayin lol no worries
It looks dope AF
Yeah that is one I might consider hunting
When im looking at the ships posts that pop up in here, I only see the portal coordinates. Is the actual ship crashed on that planet? Or at the station?
It can spawn at both
Each inhabited system has fixed collection of starship models
Those starships can be found anywhere in that system
Landing on space station, docking at freighter, landing at planetary trading outpost, crashed or sunken on planets
Sharing a screenshot with portal glyphs means "this kind of ship spawns in this particular system"
Actually locating is up to the person interested in getting that ship
↑ just to add to the above, sentinel interceptors (and living ships) are the only ship that you have to specifically find only on crash sites
Ok thanks
Ive seen some posts that include planetary coordinates. Is that where the ship is crashed?
Yes, that would be it.
If someone wants to share a specific place where they found that ship at for example S CLASS with a good Slot layout, they'd have to share the planetary coordinates for others to find that crash site.
Same goes with sharing an interceptor ship at specific class. Anyone can go to that system and find the same design of interceptor, but to get the specific ship (stats, class, slot layout), they would need to know the coordinates for the crash site
Found an interesting looking sentinel ship in euclid, not my taste in color but the shape is cool
Batman wing interceptor
sick i have the black one
Need also +- planetary coords to find that specific crash site
oh
wait, isn't it planet specific?
like whenever you generate it's same on the planet?
Interceptors dont need crash location because its 1 model per system
well I lost it
Other sites, will have a diff ship, so no one will be able to find the one you posted 😢
i'll try again
how do I get the planetary cords tho?
I can't land
cause I'll save
your ship dashboard has them
oh
Am I allowed to post several ships in one message if they're all in the same galaxy?
They're also all the same kind of ship
Eh I'll just post separately
Calypso galaxy interceptor (red)
Calypso galaxy interceptor (orange)
Calypso galaxy interceptor (teal)
Calypso galaxy interceptor (yellow)
that should be fine, as long as there's keywords, and it is clear whicvh refer to which picture

well if anyone has a libing ship with dark green flesh and dark red face, can y'all let me know?
ngl I wish we have more ship slots tbh
This beautiful red and gold exotic "guppy" flew in as I was about to leave. Euclid galaxy
there prolly will be if we get more ship types + expedition ships
It's still possible to grind for s class freighters, right?
With save scumming that is
I've found the I've I want, but I need it be s class or else there's no point in replacing the sentinel battleship that I have
Will pay anything for a golden vector
yesm it is possible.
Try running !faq-freighters in #bot-spam
Calypso galaxy orange and black interceptor
barely ever see living ships here so heres a purple and orange longnose
forgot coordinates
im gunna name him "The Living Watermelon"

Black and white sentinel interceptor in Euclid, interesting "feet", not sure what it looks like flying but maybe someone here wants it.
Nice Solar design I came across last night on my creative save! Orange and blue grouper head and shielded wings, with hex green sails! Euclid
I only saw it as C Class the first time it came in, but I wanted to share because I love a good Solar design lol
what are the cords for it like the plus minus do you know?

I realised that one isnt that good , then i got this
What's everyone's fastest ship at planet surface level?
i've seen it almost to 800 u/s
does anyone know if it’s possible to get a U-wing Tank style sentinel interceptor with X wings?
maybe I-wings
I am convinced that is not a possible combo. they likely use the same slot all
New goal set
I've reached a thousand or so u/s
I'll definitely give it a look.
I think the Utopia speeder upgraded got to 1.1k for me
yup
but the ship is not made for speed, but for the biggest number on the card
so i'm sure i could go faster
if you want i can check the actual speed
found the speed, it was 1 040 u/s at sea lvl, wich is insanely fast for NMS
i need to place the upgrades for the best boost XD
I've read interceptors have a higher base speed inside the atmosphere than the other ships, but not as much in space
I may try my interceptor after I work on my fighter, have it at 300 something without using the trails/bobbleheads. Will look for X class to replace the S class pulse mods too
yea they have a massive speed boost, they're interceptors after all, i bet the only ship that can beat an interceptor is the utopia speeder, who seems to be made from interceptors parts XD
All other ships struggle generating some very high speed, but they have a better maneuvrability (turn rate and stuff)
if you want to dogfight, an Exotic (squid type) or a solar are the best to use
Starborn was pretty fast but I took all the pulse engine stuff off it so don't remember what it was at
welp the starborn gave use the photonix core
so theoricaly the solars are the best ship possible due to them having the sails
Yeah, that's now on my fighter lol
But do the sails boost regular flight or pulsing?
if you add the core, you get +2 mods compared to other ships, making it the theorical best, despite having some "worst" stats
pretty sure it's pulsing + recharge
Ah, yeah I'm looking for speed to zip around planets
Outpost +19.21 +49.01 oh and ist the starter galax
Space station, trade post, crashed ship
Or wait until you get glyphs so you can get the ones people post here
check the economy system
higher economy = higher chance for better ships to spawn
K
Thank yall
This is good ngl to help a lot thank you 🙏

whats the rarest ship in nms?
do you have a image what a squid ship is?
oh i have three
Why are ships with a group of 4 supercharged slots so important to get?
highest stats since when tech is placed adjecent to eachother then get buffs
they are always of the S variant
yeah theyre exotics they always spawn as S
would like to see a C variant for once
they cant spawn as anything else
nope exotic ships cant give cosmetic items
so Royals and Squids
they need to be hunted for different variants
So it's because of stacking of adjacency and supercharging on stats? How can I determine what's the best to put there, given I'm used to just maxing my damage with the infraknife?
so what you really need is to place direct upgrades on the slots as well as the current weapon
so like
i mean... can you make your own frigate with Exotic parts?
if you have an infra knife with 3 upgrades (the maximum amount)
no they dont give cosmetic items and theres no way to get them
you place the infraknife and its upgrades in the 4x4
k, so that will definitely be over 9,000! tvym. @plush scroll
and whats the best way to kill Sentinels?
interceptors or drones?
👍
well answers the same either way just get a good damage build
for multitools get the highest damage possible (from S or X class upgrades)
and for starships upgrade weapons for different things
i use the Cyclotron because it can destroy shields very easily
paired with the rockets because they hit very hard
cyclotron doesnt do good damage to ships and rockets dont do very well against shields
so they have to be used in combo for peak damage output
also always remember numbers dont always mean anything just use whatever you have the most fun with
this convo should prolly be moved to https://discord.com/channels/146101654981312513/471868642204712971
that is if you have any more questions

This person sees too many squids, meanwhile I've never seen one lol
Since no one has said it yet, breaking down ships for parts is still very new to the game, as of now only fighters, haulers and explorers can be broken down
thanks
Found this juicy yellow (or gold), white, and black S class Sentinel Interceptor in Euclid, built a small base right beside it and uploaded it so you can find it as fast as possible.
very nice ship
Orange Sentinel. Euclid Galaxy
Purple/Orange Sentinel. Euclid Galaxy
all-blue Sentinel. Euclid Galaxy
2 blues. Found them both in the Euclid galaxy which I'm always in. Both sentinel interceptors

man i really wish there was more unique ships
we’re at the point where normal ships are just uninteresting because we’ve seen them for years
Yellows. Euclid galaxy. Interceptors

Red/white sentinel, Euclid [+72.66 | +8.13]
Green sentinel. Euclid.
I like that one, nice find!
Location of guaranteed S Class freighter modules from derelict freighters.
Never did a derelict more than once, do you get different modules at the end?
Modules are random, but the above system always gives S Class.
why are those pictures so low res? ^^ just wondering
They were screenshoted on playstation
ahh gotcha, never had a console myself so I didn't know
Mint Green Sentinel. Euclid Galaxy
always the same stats after installed too, in the ones that do have ranges (e.g. fuel eff, hyperdrive)
damn that price is way to low my ship costs 130mil
surprisingly my most expensive ship is my starborn runner
followed by my main sentinel ship
a bit lower
I think the main reasons are that it is an exotic and then all the moduls and everything
yeh
I have it decked out because I wanted to make it a speedster
it doesn't make sense to have a slick fast looking ship if it ain't fast
thats what I thought
cuz of that I used a lot of charged slots for the things
Red and white Sentinel. Euclid Galaxy
I'd like this one more if it had a different cockpit
Yellow Sentinel. Euclid Galaxy
The PS4/5 will compress it, and then again with discord.
Ah gotcha, that kinda sucks tho
It does a little, I the PS5 is a little better but yeah

I need someone to please go to the glyph location in this photo, and go to the dissonant planet, and get this sentinel ship(either find it using carrier ai fragment from max wanted level in space)(or get it from the tall mining drill sentinels)
What if I don't want that ship
What for?
there is no dissonant planet in that system
i'm re-entering the glyphs to make sure i'm in the right place though, one sec
I don't think they mentioned which galaxy that is from
true
we need the galaxy too
This ship is beautiful

my favourite interceptor i've seen so far
black sentinel interceptor, fold-out canted(?) sabre top wings, three-star economy system, Euclid galaxy
Here’s the galaxy with the ship I was wanting
Is someone supposed to be getting that for you
They've been asking people to retrieve the ships for a reward, however they might as well just use Pangalatic cabs lol
players can't trade ships
… yes you can..
used to be a bug where u could sell to an npc and buy back but that got patched
Uhh.. I just did that a few days ago😂
Yes, but with the recent updates it is far more unstable.
There is a pin for it somewhere going into as such.
Class gets rerolled and inventory/upgrades get wiped if I remember correctly
So with exception of unique ships like ones from expeditions it's not worth it
Mb they just despawn
Is it possible for a dissonant planet to only have a certain class when using the camps to locate dissonant spikes? I've found 5-6 B class in a row and nothing else
from my experience a planet can have all classes of the same sentinel ship
if you Scan them when you get near it will tell you the Class without actually having to enter the Sentinel ship
Depends on systems economy
Outlaws system for example give you 85% C class and then 5% for S, A and B
Yeah, been doing that
nothing hurts more than finding a cool B class ship in an outlaw system knowing that it could’ve been S 😭
True
I've just never seen this many B in a row, it's a little suspicious lol
Haven't even seen a C which is odd
I cleared the mission manually in case it happened to be s ending me back to the same one, we'll see what happens
If you're worried you're getting send to the same one you can just drop a save beacon
Definitely a different site, B again lol
Check the system economy, if you're hunting S class then you're ods are
Tier 1 ~ 0%
Tier 2 - 1%
Tier 3 - 2%
Outlaw 5%
I'd settle for A really
if you have enough nanites you can just upgrade
You might even end up with better ship then a natural S
But if hunt is what you're after then it's a bit different story
Was trying to save my resources but might have to upgrade

Hello fellow No mans... Has any one have a location for a ship like this but all black???
Don't think all black is possible for natural vanilla spawn
The best you could get is dark purple
Correct, all black is impossible
The closest you can get is deep purple with some parts in black
Ill be happy with that... Even white but not orange
Eissentam galaxy
@pearl tangle you can search this channel by "tank legs" and see more similar ships
Thank you... Think ill try and find it darker tho
Thats the closest i found from my collection
that one is fantasticly bad. i must have it
none of these are all white
nope
Found another S class Interceptor, looks AMAZING when the wings unfold, black and blue (like my [gravitino] balls), made a base right at the crash site so you can easily find it for yourself, coordinates in the first picture. Enjoy, travellers!
Euclid
So if i messed up the dreadnaught freigther i have to wait another 3 hours again?
if you can still reload save then do that, otherwise some 3star conflict/outlaw systems spawn a dread every time u warp in, so u could hunt for one of those in the mean time. make sure you enter/exit ship to save before warping, so u can easily reset save next time
Managed to find one sad its not korvax but the tiny geks but ill take it
I found the same ship type but in red, cheers!
i went to the base but it's not there, does it disappear when another player takes it?
Usually it's recommended to turn of multiplayer before going for a ship
You can try again tomorrow
ah okay
It should respawn
yeah there's no waiting for tomorrow i just left into space waited till next autosave then left and rejoined in singleplayer, went to space station portal to tp back to the base and it was there so i got it
this one looks cool but i already got a nice s class sentinal with better stats
one of the tank legs ships would be cool to get tho
I have a question, where can I get the large size glyph symbols?
like I see people doing ship posts with large zise glyphs that are readable but when you screenshot in game you don't always get glyphs at bottom and when you do they can be small and unreadable

You need to go to a portal and select "show glyph adres"
It'll show you glyph address of current planet in big glyphs
ah only way hmm
You could take high resolution screen shot and just enlarge them
Those in corner
ah yeah but only if printscreen, F12 or Win+G works
I'll try win+G
the others I know don't work for me anymore

Anyone cares to take part in a ship hunting session. The game hub on youtube has a excellent stream starting now. Interceptor ship hunting only
KINDA ... But idk

Has anyone played around with fighter part/station combos to get a high base maneuverability and SC layout? Assuming S class reactor and base maneuverability around 515-518
I shoot for at least three SC close by, doesn't have to be perfect
There's still no definitive tests that i've seen anywhere that go into detail and large enough sample size to even determine if parts are influencing stats like believed in naturally spawned ships.
All that's certain so far is that it rerolls the seed.
Same with reactor class.
You may even get higher by using a lower tier reactor and upgrading ship after
Well yeah that's why I was wondering if anyone had gone for that yet and possibly remembered, I'm messing around with it right now trying to beat base stat of 518 if I can
Realized probably won't get an answer but worth a shot lol
It's kinda like staves. there's so many combinations possible at a single location.
And what you find that gives you a high base at your current location may not work for the next station, or may even be different lower/ higher, if using a different class reactor
best to play around with it. Cause there probably won't be a definitive method anytime soon - if it even exists at all
True, but wouldn't that mean if I use the same parts at the same location, I'd get the same results?
always yea. same parts, station AND reactor class, same results
I'm not looking for a method, just looking to see if anyone's played around and had good results with that one stat
ah so i assume you were looking for a location and combo that would give you a high base okay
Yea, i thought there would be a lot more people sharing fabricated ships once it rolled.
There was a bit of hype and some good shares for SC layouts in the first couple days, but after that ppl haven't been sharing much fabrication specs at all
there's a few finds posted in the coord exchange subreddit - don't know if offsite links are ok here, but a quick search for 'fabricated' hit on a fighter w/ 538.7 maneuverability, 392 dmg potential, and a row of 3 SC (with the 4th diagonal to one end of that row)
I'll have to join that subreddit and check it out, thanks!
Red and purple interceptors, Euclid galaxy
beware, both of those communities are full of bullies
@rotund crater you have many ship parts ? Wondering if you wanna trade
You just didn't see our research on this on the C&S hub 😉
The customizer bot can essentially calculate the stats based on a seed and so we see there is indirect mathematical relation between maneuver, damage and the first part choosen
was it applied to and verified on the new fabricated ships?
I was aiming for a specific SC slot style with specific fighter types, I tried 300 systems and never got it lol. It takes a lot of effort.
Hope we can build customized Sentinel interceptors later
I need a 4 connected sc cool looking interceptor with the stealth paint
I hope we don't, it would be cool but isn't lore friendly
How so? Don’t really know about the lore
Sentinel interceptors aren't just ships and technology they use is very... peculiar
But in theory they are still constructed then have the brain thing installed into them right?
I'm not saying they are some kind of phantom but aren't exactly natural
Or even native to the space we know
But they must be made somehow, so perhaps if we get access to whatever made the sentinels we might have a chance
And use the harmonized brain on one of those instead of the cores
@versed rampart you finished the artemis path right? ||so you know that its a simulation and sentinels arent from the simulation||
Yep, I finished the whole questline but don’t really have a clue
Sentinels come from GLASS
But it's maybe something more appropriate for #nms-spoilers and not here
I just want to reinforce for those whom haven't done this yet. It is absolutely worth it.
beautiful white solar, purple rectangle sails, spider body, shielded wings, verta wingtips
white/offwhite solar, same system as previous post, yellow crescent sails, grouper body, talon wings, torpedo wingtips
I'm on switch, so that's a no go
I also vote no on interceptors
They should leave some things to be hunted for naturally
yeah like exotics and such
imagine building squids
that’d take all the fun out of hunting them
I've still never even seen one lol
But then again I never went looking

Dark Green / Yellow Interceptor Tank with Reversible Wings and Mouthpiece. Complicated silhouette but the color scheme pulls off in the skies. Euclid.
So to continue from last night, I replicated this starship
Went to same system and got these results. Very similar but not quite.. am I missing something? Only difference I can tell is that I'm on switch and I'm assuming the OP plays PC or Console
wait how do you customize ship parts?
or even get them
i have only ever found reactor cors
cores
You can salvage ships for parts
And there's a terminal at space station that allows you to build one yourself
Depends
Going to use SCs for pulse engine stuff
I cen see the first one breaking in to 3k maneuverability
Second one would be good for a more balanced 1sc for weapon
And 3 for pule drive
Did you build the ship, or just preview the assembly? I don't build many ships (prefer interceptors and tiny shuttles), but was curious so I went and picked up those parts and tried it. My preview/compare stats were different than both you and the OP, but once I actually built/claimed it the stats matched the OP. (was news to me; I didn't realize the preview stats weren't necessarily the 'final' stats)
Nope, haven't built yet. I play with a lot of restrictions so I was trying to save my resources lol
I'll try that though.
I do want to try both builds, since first one seems to be the better SC layout for what I'm going for l, but didn't want to try the reddit one if it wasn't going to come out to the 538 base stat
Can anyone show me how to build new ships in the adrift. I'm new and overwhelmed
I would just wait on that until after you complete Adrift. An expedition is like a temporary standalone game mode with its own storyline and missions
So if you started the expedition with a new save file, it'll convert into a normal game once you're done with that story.
If you started the expedition through an existing save, you'll convert back to your main save at the end of the expedition
And it'll cost you nanites you probably don't have since you just started to bring whatever ship you make in the expedition back to your main save
Blue interceptor, Euclid galaxy
Yeah but where at 👀
i may or may not have forgotten to save the coordinates
For leaving ship those have to be exact planetary coordinates too
Is the best way to find s class freighters, still looking in pirate systems?
Yep
And reloading if its not s, reloading to before warp that is
Ah yeah that's how I got my current a class dreadnought back in the day
Yeah, that's also how i got my S
nice nice
migrated message
You can try asking in #nms-expedition
holy fuck that freighter is insane
pirate systems really the best way too get good ships?
Depends
Depends what you mean best
S Class? 85% for C and 5% for each different class respectively
They're talking about freighters though which probably has a separate system for that
oh yea, ig i should have worded as easiest way instead of best way
Atleast as long as I play
Once the expedition is done the ship hunt begins again
Is it easier than it was I remember travelling to a million systems and sitting at space stations for hours on. End waiting

Godspeed
What’s your upgrade arrangement for that? Your jump range and efficiency are REALLY high
My pc is dead and I don't have pic of modules
But I had all upgrades from technology plus 3 s class hyperdrive upgrade modules
And all sc slots where on hyperdrive
Their configuration wasn't that good tho
That makes sense, I’m using my sc slots for frigate mission bonuses right now
Oh btw, that ship from reddit, I was only able to get up to 2.2k maneuverability with my current set up. Missing a trail that was probably from an expedition and having a hard time finding max boost X class upgrades, it's getting quite expensive buying them lol
There's a method to kind of peak into what a module can become
Might have to start cheesing for money
I think I read about that on the wiki, didn't really understand it though
Something about how many times it's used
I have a very easy way to present it
I also havent played around switching the modules around, dunno if that would help or not
Save
Seed 1 ---> x class stat A
Reload
Seed 1 ---> c class stats
Seed 2 ---> x class stats B
Reload
Seed 1 ---> c class stats
Seed 2 ----> c class stats
Seed 3 ----> x class stats C
There's like a list of seeds and every time you install a module game pick a seed from position 1 and goes to position 2 for the next one
If you reload back to time from before seed 1 was used you can skip it if you don't like it
If you were to install 10 modules and you like number 6 you can reload, install 5 random modules and then 6 is the one you want
List of Seed is shared between all modules of all classes ant types
Laa upgrade modules that is

I used to install modules for neutron cannon per 100
Need to digest this
So
Reload and install again
Stats will be the same
@winged tusk sorry pinged you by accident
Lol got a notification that I got tagged, I see you edited it out
It's fine lol
X class with 30% boost 6th time I install.
Reload.
Install cheap c class five times.
Get 30% boost X class on 6th install guaranteed?
Yes
Gotcha
Had to read that a few times, I'm tired lol
Well, first I need to get a freaking 30% boost X class to show up
It may take a while
Godspeed
Tbh I'm at 575u/s at ground level and it's getting hard to control
you may get up to 700 without much effort.
possibly even more
So how does the game calculate where you are in the list of seeds
Procgen son
same way it calculates everythinh else.
seeds are basically what a computer uses for "randomization"
Maybe, also don't have three max boost thruster mods yet either
you could just repack modules without wasting nanites on C mods btw.
in case you're low
So they don't need to be fresh ones?

Just counts any install?
it should advance the seed yes
so can be used to replace installing fresh C's
I'll test it out later
Well I bought my modules that I wasted from noobies that didn't need them for resources and goods so it's not like it ended badly
Saved you a trip to the merchant
*I used to check modules for neutron cannon per 100
And then needed to skip 100 seeds
That saved me a whole loot of time
I got one
Also, is this wing style rare? I never see anyone post them
no idea, I've seen like 2 or 3 times
@low ingot choose one.
4 squared SC slot - 505 base maneuverability
Or
3 SC and one close by - 538 base maneuverability
4 Square for infra-knife
3sc for daily use
Seems like a good difference between base stats
Also the 4 squared is much prettier
Found this on reddit
Purple is not really my colour but still looks nice
Oh well thay changes things
To get iron vulture parts do you have to go to the abandoned galaxy
if you completed the expedition from your main save and returned to normal via the menu then you can do this #nms-expedition message
otherwise might need someone to dupe them for u
But why are the parts available in the ship builder?
wdym, like why can it be scrapped and rebuilt?
i think the only reason previous expedition ships couldnt be fabricated is just cuz there was no fabrication mechanic before
Interesting
you'd need 3 to rebuild yea
Ig itd be cool to rebuild it n shit but the faxt youd need three and you only get one seems like bit of a design flaw
if u click that link i sent in the 1st message it says how to get more
but only works if u started expedition from your main save
Lmao
would be nice if iron vulture parts naturally generated
Wouldnt that make expedition useless?
not rlly imo but it's probably not gonna happen anyway. I just always appreciate more ship parts and variety
Can you guys help me get better stats on a fabricated starship?
why to have a ship if you can have a Limousine ? (calypso)
There's not a method to it
Each combination of ship parts will yield different results at each station
Basically you'll need to look up ones that people have posted, or take what parts you have and play around with them at different stations
Looking for a gold sentinel ship in Euclid best if it has square supercharged slots but ok if supercharged slots r still close. Any1 got something like that?
can anyone dupe iron vulture parts for me?

Definitely can
Finish expedition milestones, set difficulties to lowest/creative, copy iron vulture for parts, dupe, have endless iron vultures for 1200 nanites
@low ingot so the squared SC slot ship with lower base ended up giving me slower speed, which is unfortunate but I kind of expected that.
It did crash my game in a way I've never seen before though lol
Play with sound, but not loud
Approaching my base at that speed breaks the switch lol
you just got abducted
Straight to space jail
Nvm, turns out this one is slightly faster, I forgot to install the sputtering trail
Very specific build instructions
For custom vulture/hauler ship.
Combination is engines/cockpit-iron vulture, w SuperCruise Fan-Wings.

how do u find pirate dreadnoughts
ive been jumping from pirate system to pirate system
havent found one
They spawn during freighter battles
and ive jumped at least 30 times
i know but is there any way to make the probsbility of then spawning higher
They spawn in outlaw and high conflicts systems as part of normal space rescue
(3h of active gameplay and 5 warps between)
Yes that too
Some outlaw systems spawn a rescue every time you warp in but those are rare
Gonna be allot of information real quick ._.
So lets talk about maximizing starship potential!
It's pretty straight forward, and I'll keep it simple.
So let's start with the basics before we start applying tech modules. As you'll need to know how to identify a good ship by type as each has its advantages.
Note: Some of this information may require some updating and comes through extensive research & multiple sources.
Note: This list will exclude expedition ships, & shuttles. To be frank they are well balanced but offer no real advantages compared.
All starships have the following core Stats at Base.
(Base) Damage potential: 33.8-56.7
(Base) Shield absorption: 165
(Base) Hyperdrive Range: 101
(Base) manuverability is Class/type dependant, and will be displayed respectively.
These numbers will vary depending on seed, class, & type, perhaps installed technologies. scanning is recommended prior for this reason.
Note: that in game the decimal value is always rounded down & therefore meaningless.
The following information is used to determine core values. The appropriate potential bonus% are applied to starship core stats & is listed as follows.
(But Pay attention to the final minimum/maximum amounts as they vary per each individual ship, meaning you may choose specific ships for specific purposes.
In general: Fighters deal more damage, Explorers have more Hyperdrive Range, Haulers have better shields, Solars have the best boost and Manuverability capabilities thanks to their vesper sails, & Sentinels can hover well and their Sentinel cannon despite dealing less dmg per shot than the Photon Cannon has a higher fire rate which renders it a higher dps, living ships can readily warp anywhere without the need for cadmium emiril or indium drives, they take no damage from stellar sources like a black hole for example, and can be cheaply fueled/repaired all things considered. and a good Exotic with a strong core can Excell @everything with the right stats/sc configuration. All of these ships have their cons as well.)

Now lets discuss sc configuration, for the most part information provided here (such as provided below) is absolutely correct, you will only need to adjust your
SC-configuration if you have additional technologies such as the photonix core, or vesper sails, but sometimes the SC configuration is wonky. In this case you could guess work around finding the highest value but I'll provide you with a few good rules of thumb.
If you didn't know the tech modules themselves have hidden bonuses that only apply when adjacent, or charged.
So even if you have a mod with maxed stats it's still beneficial to test others that are similar, eventually/perhaps you'll find a small increase in investment.
Super charging the actual tech before upgrades is a good idea, you'll get more power in general for doing this, some modules like High end pulse Drive upgrades will function better for this purpose if they cant all be supercharged together anyways.
I hear that bonus for sc is 25% but that isn't true, it's an increase of about 20%-30% and doesn't function for every stat, for example the "Boost" on launch upgrades will never exceed 10% not when charged, and regardless of S/X classification.
There are 2 types of bonuses that can be exchanged through sc and adjacency a weak bonus, and a strong bonus (to keep it simple) the strongest upgrades with the most/higher stats always results in a better adjacency/SC advantage.
So you'll want all your best tech bunched up and close to its actual module as possible, to maximize these advantages.
You may place personal upgrades, like those you may learn from the Nexus/certian missions. But note that lesser modules do not impart good bonuses when adjacent or charged, meaning if you use them as your core your other tech as well as the primary mod will recieve greatly reduced stats when compared.
The advantages gained from bobble heads and starship trails shouldn't be a priority for these reasons.
You'll get a 5% Bonus to certian stats based on the bobbles, but only a 1%boost from starship trails.
The polo bobble and specifically the artemis bobble can be exceptions, when coupled with starship trails they can effectively increase the boost potential/manuverability of the ship by nearly 20% if adjacent & without sc, so finding a good place to have them makes a noticeable difference in any ships manuverability. If artemis is sc'd you will have significantly greater boost potential (if you need a cheap early game alternative anyways) and in the case of polo increased manuverability,
it may be worth it, but only if your sc is separated, then sc'n Apollo makes sense. you will retain the adjacency bonus for where your weapon is assembled, while the separated Apollo improves your base damage, also a great idea for early game alternatives, because they are extremely cheap to manufacture. There is no good reason to boost the others in any situation, and it isn't worth it to completely split technologies for the sc, the adjacency (depending on the mod and class) could actually be better than if you had the weapon split for each sc.
Some upgrades will result in diminishing returns, like shields or pulse drives, also increasing the boost even if you aren't getting that much speed on returns still gives you plenty of colorful bits when boosting. As if you had engaged your pulse drives. I personally recommend using your sc to enhance the strong stats of your ship type. So that it can Excell in its purpose.
Lastly I suggest you invest towards standard tech mods up to S class and ignore the X class mods for starters especially early game. they typically don't give you good stuff simply put, but when you are ready for X-mods, I suggest you use outlaw systems and buy suspicious packs, you'll save allot of nanites vs buying them outright, and you can sell what you don't want as a farm also. It's the cheapest solution. @dreamy crypt
When you bunch your tech mods up, put your best between them so the others can recieve the best bonus possible also.
As my example (from above as detailed so below.) Without doubt we've all seen these examples. This tends to be true in most situations. These configurations only ever need a change when your sc has wonky placement.
Or you have additional tech, and that's situational as well.
first exotic
that colorway is sublime
i love it reminds me of vault tec
First time survival run and on my 4th Sentinel I found an A class. Can't wait.

i love how slim it is
Yeah, I've just been a bit sick. I got burnt out too from hunting, and idk. My motivation comes and goes. Thanks for asking though ^^

@winter obsidian forgot shuttle stats?
Okay I'll include the shuttles for you :3
thank you
Shuttles: Can be found nearly anywhere.
Shuttles do not recieve a bonus% at C class, for any stat!
Base launch cost: 16.7%-[33.4% in survival & permadeath.]
Bonus%×Damage:
B=3-8/A=8-15/S=25-30
Bonus%×Shield:
B=3-8/A=8-15/S=25-30

Core Manuverability:@S_class=272.5 - 330.0
Bonus%×Manuverability:
B=3-5/A=8-15/S=15-35
These are not phenomenal ships, but are well balanced across all stats, these really make great early game ships because they are cheaper and have more space for inventory albeit low tier.
Now this is tricky because the shuttles can be found everywhere & there are 7 for each system, but in outlaw systems the thing is, is that a solar is 85% more likely to spawn in their place during waves.
they really are adorable
They are amazing ships I'll make a more compressed informational that's easier for in the future. One that will also include shuttles.
so when you upgrade a ship's class, it improves all the applicable bonuses?
Lets say you have an exotic and it happens to gain its full damage% that would mean the ship applies 75% of the total damage capacity. So all Photon cannons deal the same damage while not all ships can really deal their full damage. So finding a high core value means finding a ship that has a high %
I've never seen an X class before
oh
I should have said S class
but like if I upgrade from A to S, it gets rerolled?
It's seed dependent afaik
No, what can happen is that specific ship at s class doesn't have a higher stat for that core, sometimes it can be lower bc at s class the minimum% is sometimes lower than the last class was previously higher (maximum%)
Bc of seed yes
Which is why I said to note the min/max values
Or they appear the same because they line up at the same stat at both classes so it appears as if nothing happens.
Normally you get an increase in % though and I've only seen a similar problem twice personally iirc in all my time playing. And that be thousands of hours ._.
If you take the same ship, and upgrade its class, or try to make one or find one at a specific location. If you try to save and retry in any of these scenarios you'll find these things are quite fixed.
Which makes finding a really good starship with the right stats, very hard. Because even if you find a starship with all the sc together, without a good core it's garbage imo.
Ohhh yea nobody talks about this they'll tell you that the indium drive is all you need but it isn't true (always)
You still get the adjacency bonus that they recieve 😉 if you didn't know.
so when you upgrade, its assumed to be getting the core replaced?
Bit it's still a bonus
No the core base stats stay the same for all starships excluding the manuverability the % that they recieve in addition to this is more like a multiplier in this case, where the higher the % the higher the core stat will appear but this is where it becomes deceptive, for weapons you notice that stat doesn't increase even if the weapon is op. So only the base core matters you can take the total and estimate for the % that it recieves as a bonus at class because their Base stats are fixed. Accurately calculating that value is for you to do.
To much math's for me tho, for it to be fair.
I'll estimate a max stat for each ship. But that will do nothing but upset you trying to find it for the most part.
Which is why I said scanning prior is important, & also because if the ship comes equipped with a more than standard layout then you can be decieved when seeking the value.
Be aware!
what do you mean scanning?
You can check out ship with your visor
Like using your Visor to investigate the ship before seeking to buy
I'll have to check that when I get home. I didn't know it was an option on switch
That hauler I posted earlier
Very satisfied seeing it got a good roll. The damage seems weak but this is max difficulty so that's pretty good for this type, the shields were naturally high and I took enough advantage to overamp my range and Manuverability still. No shenanigans
Wish it turned faster 😪
Haulers fly like a truck drives eh
Wierd
Rebuilt radiant pillar too
Turns on a dime, damage lacking tho will scrap this too eventually.
The hauler took thirty hours to find, while the others were just for fun I get bored too.
I was only curious about upgrading, I'll never have enough namites to try it

Glyph Coordinates Rule
If you post glyph coordinates for a ship, you must follow the same rules from #explorers-archive, specify as many helpful details that other members can search in this channel, including: galaxy, type of ship (e.g. interceptor, solar, exotic, living, fighter, explorer, hauler, shuttle) and main color -- ship parts are not required but not discouraged. Otherwise, your post is subject to deletion.
Run !Faq-ExplorersArchive in #bot-spam for guidance on how to post coordinates that help other players find your posts in the future. We also have a !coords command that facilitates posting coordinates with emojis here -- use /noembed for easy copy-paste.

But my best ship
Leter in the game nanites get easier to get
41k-63k damage respectively don't let the core fool you, it turns on a dime and guns everything down in seconds. My all time favorite nothing gets changed on it anymore aside trading out the weapons/Pulse engines.
I still don't get how you got dmg AND maneuverability so hight lol
I gotta upgrade ethe shields now I think abt it, the max stats for X exceed 33% now
Dmg I get, but maneuverability
I swap the engines with the infra knife.
Aaaah, that explains it
Yeah that's what good stats and sc look like together
I thought it was at the same time
I feel silly now
Nah I should've been more clear mb
I actually have the damage clipped
Even better
Almost 60k max difficulty yea
I had this one reach around 3.5k maneuverability
Got planet from glyphs but this particular one found myself
Upgraded it from b and by muscle memory I reloaded game and lost my marker at crash site
Don't have proof as pc dead Currently
Such a great layout too
does it have the fols-out wings
Yep, that was what I was looking for bc of site and seed combinations hunting interceptors was a long time favourite hunting for me
Yes
those are the best interceptor part
True they look nice
I wish you could repaint starships, I love my interceptor but I wanna put my colors on
it has the bottom spikes at the back instead though
woulld be cool
maybe someday
Maybe NMS 2?
I feel it's coming :3
The lore does imply things that lead towards that possibility. No telling
hmph
Imo it will be higher. This is mine
Are these the sentinel ships
It was a very long time ago, if I were to slap photonix core and some better modules I think I might breake into 4k
You definitely could!
And rearrange those modules too
I'm curious how you're going to set it up ngl. I'm looking at it. Bet you can get 4100ups easy
Maybe 4400ups🤔
First I need to get a machine to play and recover my save, maybe at the end of the next month, depending on if government can file everything

Well, didn't go as planned but now right people have every document, every paper and email
I'm following it online daily, they have nowhere to run now
In the mean time I recovered pics of the prettiest interceptor I'd did discover myself
Boosters for days
It's in this channel posted by me with base next to it

does class of freighter really matter
ive seen an A class ship with almost all stats worse than a C class freighter
They normally have more cargo space
yeah but i mean thats something u can upgrade on a C class too right
Normally there's not that huge difference between A and S
You can't upgrade class of the freighter
If you cant make it S it alright to settle for A
cant even find a B class pirate dreadnaught so im settling for C
but idrc cuz it looks cool
Well if its fine with you that's great
It's totally fine, eventually you will warp into a system and the freightor will be >
I actually got my first S class freighter by just checking freighters I rescued no grinding at all so its possible
How annoying is playing in HDR and having to screenshot stats using windows and having a brutally over exposed image. As a visual design professional this bugs me. Beautiful Ship btw
Idk i play on ps4 and take pics of the screen most of the times. Im glad u like the ship btw.
Anybody know where I can find some good squadron pilots?
the pilot stats dont do a whole lot, squadrons are always pretty weak, the ship tech and stats and equipped weapons are completely ignored so most would recommend just getting a squad with nice looking ships, if u want one
I'm giving them all the same ship, I just want them to have maximum stats otherwise I don't get all my dopamine.
hey uuuh i saw you a lot on here do you have one of these ?
@low ingot
i can give u some other wings
for it
My pc died 2 Months ago, I'm getting another hopefully at the end of next month
ooh
rip.
i wish u luck and that it will get here faster or anyway u will get it
Rip indeed, and thanks
do you know someone who does have that part or something
cus ngl i feel like i asked for a lot
in the trade one
If we're talking trading you could try #nms-lfg-or-trades
Just check regularly some people respond but don't ping
Try couple times if first one doesn't work
can u tell me atleast how those wings are called in english ?
Box booster I think

might also be referred to as vesper wings (source: /r/NMSCoordinateExchange search 'fabricated' there and the automoderator response on those posts has a link to the spreadsheet which includes locations to find them)
thanks ill look into it
Theres a location by default displaying for every possible fighter combination on https://nms.center/
It's complete
This may be of some help.
It is the glyph address of the system where you can find this ship spawning naturally.
basically black magic for me now
It will spawn on the space station or trading post if you visit the glyph addres systems. Thats how you can quickly get all parts
how to see in what one i am
Open photo mode and it will show your current glyphs in the down left corner
if a few of them match is that enough?
No you must travel precisely to these glyphs. If one glyph is different, it is already a completely different solar system
But you can dial these glyphs like a telephone number into a portal terminal
yo thats actually cool
hmmm wheres the "dial" option ?
Portals make up a huge part of No Mans Sky that people often under use but they're the fastest way of getting to places like the galactic core and they're also the fastest way of finding super rare things like Paradise Planets, S Class Multi Tools, S Class Ships and seeing amazing player created bases. I use portal coordinates a lot in my videos...
oh the anomaly one ig
I recommend completing the main story (The Artemis Path) first of all. That way you will learn how to use portals and unlock all of the glyphs.
You can go on a ship hunt after that.
good thing i have it almost done i belive
I have most parts for a Fighter if you need, check this page for the full list
Thoughts on what I should do? Keep the current one or take the new one? (Sorry for the picture. Didn’t feel like taking a screenshot).
were you looking for a pirate one>?
I am. But I don’t know if this ones shit or not
I would take it if so.
Fun fact, i am still using my A class pirate freighter on current main save.
It's enough to fit everything i need.
It was the first pirate freighter i got when they were introduced, and it was perfectly fine
Unless you are chasing a shiny Orange S class badge on everything, this freighter will be enough
I’ll take it then
blue royal exotic with fins/wings and clamshell - euclid
Did you purchase this
Exotics dont have much variety
found this in the 2nd galaxy (Hilbert). a blue-black/purple(?) sentinel interceptor that looks a bit like a pancake, tank, and head where stuffed together in a blender. (also the default name of Glass Soul-VW is pretty neat)
Blue Interceptor, Hilbert Galaxy (worm infested planet). Default name "*Atlas Fire-&"
a smuggler battles sentinels above Disitria
Orange-Black Interceptor, Calypso Galaxy
"just a gek head" in Calypso galaxy. white-black interceptor
Nice usb
S Class sentinel in eissentam @zenith notch
ooh nice! not really the color scheme i'm going for though, I'm going all red and black for this save :)
You'd need to include the coordinates to that crash site for people to get the guaranteed S class
oh crap, my bad
Otherwise it's trial and error using the autophage camps
ok good to know

Don't exchange tho
nahhh
You'll loose your ship
i wouldnt ever
But it's free to take and to melt for scrap, easy money
im on the expedition sooo thats not an option for now
In that case I would still take the interceptor, better jump range and probably more storage
And abundance of fuel if you mine couple of radiant shards
yeah bout to say that
warp fuel got super cheap for me now
btw i saw u use polish letters are you from poland ?
Wzajemnie, but server rules require we speak English so mods can understand:v
yeah i thought so so i just said one sentance
No problem with that
i sent u an inv cus now i wanna befrien you :>
sentence
not many people out in that Galaxy
More like galaxy is just big
why that one ? you had to fo through 142 to get there
its 1 of the known hostile galaxies
What're hostile galaxies?
I was about to ask
Also known as harsh, those galaxies tend to spawn more extreme hazard planets
Calypso, #3 galaxy is a good example
Ogtialabi is #15 if memory serves me right
@dark tiger @steady mulch ^^^
Thx man
It’s fine if I don’t leave the first galaxy right
Like it doesn’t rlly do anything much for me right

It's completely fine, many people stay in euclid and still have fun
Isn’t there like 257 galaxies (technically)
Because I know of the last to that you need someone that has been there to get it but idk bout the others
256 unique galaxies
!faq-galaxies
to view info below, enable embeds
How many galaxies are there in No Man's Sky?
There are 256 galaxies in No Man's Sky.
Euclid is labeled as Galaxy #0 in game files, but often referred to as Galaxy #1 by the community.
Odyalutai is #255 in game files, referred to as #256 by the community.
Players may only access galaxy 255 (Odyalutai) if they join the game of someone, or visit a base in galaxy 255, or save edit to get there.
Players who join the game of someone in galaxy 256 (or any other number outside the range 0-255) will instead see Odyalutai; with stars and planets in identical positions but core colour, procgen names and tech seeds shuffled.

What happens if you warp through the core of galaxy 255?
You return to Euclid, the starting galaxy for all game modes except some expeditions.

I've heard about a galaxy 257 called Yilsrussimil; does it exist?
It's possible to use a save editor to reposition yourself into galaxy 257. However, the galaxy name will be shown as Euclid, Odyalutai, or Yilsrussimil, depending upon where you see it shown in the game. Further, players in Odyalutai using the same coordinates show up in your system, demonstrating it's more of a glitch in the game than a true place; after saving and reloading, you will be shown in Odyalutai, and unable to see the Yilsrussimil name henceforth without using the save editor again. So, galaxy 257 does not exist; if it's anything, it's a display artifact when using the save editor.

What about negative numbered galaxies?
No Man's Sky can generate galaxy names for any number you put into the save file (outside the range 0-255), but you will be in Odyalutai (galaxy 255).

How many regions are in each galaxy, and how many systems per region?
There are approximately 4.27 billion regions per galaxy (4095x4095x255), with regions possibly having as few as 122 star systems and as many as 600+.

What types of galaxies are there, and how do they differ?
Lush, Empty, Normal and Harsh; the galaxy type affects the distribution of planet biomes in yellow systems, and probability of extreme survival planets.
Yo I was right about the glitched ones
Or whatever you wanna call them
Thx for the information
It was my pleasure to share it
7/Budullangr, small(ish) yellow shuttle.
@low ingot you said that u saw many blue interceptors can i take a look at em i wanna see my possibilites also why no more frien :(
Im looking for a good space trucking ship!
Fabricated
Hesprius Dimension Core, C class.
When adding a cool find include a short description with couple of key words
If you add glyphs in the picture you also need to include galaxy so other player can find the ship
For example
Oh nice. I will start doing that.
has anyone found a hauler worth more than 70 mill?
Yes
I found one that was like 110 mil
