Thats a dreadnought battle, different spawning mechanics than old skool normal freighter battles, but can still be used to farm the dreadnought or freighter.

In my experience all charted systems have an exotic. According to DHW, solars dont over rule exotics. Whatever the case, the difference between 0.33% and 0.28% is minimal. Having found over 300 exotics myself, even in abandoned systems, I have yet to come across a charted system with no exotic ship.
Charted systems are systems with a race attached to it, even if its abandoned. Un charted space are usually certain blue, green and red stars with no race attached to it.
That being said, I have had plenty of systems, without a solar ship being in the pool of possible ships.
Exotics can take i long time to come, I've waited 5 hours before now, without it coming. Wheras my friend took him an hour using freighter warp method

Either way all systems will have their exotic, whether it can be overriden by solar in any given spawn instance is impossible to test.
So unless someone has looked at the actual code formula, speaking with certainty on wether it can override or not is just BS

You have the same area available to build as you do with other freighters.

acutaly shuttles are optimal early game an not just a cheap replacement for the starter ship, they have reduced cost in launch fuel and pulse drive fuel. However all of the other stats are average.
shuttles also have the greatest diversity of shape and pieces amoung all of the other ships (even interceptors) allowing you to get either :
1 : a brick
2 : a flying stick
3 : a star destroyer
4 : anything
5 : a massive ship nearly as big as a hauler

It's just that late game when you actually start caring about cosmetic appearance, that doesn't really matter anymore and from what I understand sentinel launch cost is better

No you don't have to save before jumping in. If you using portal, you need to warp out then warp back in. Its a 100% spawn, ie it will spawn everytime you warp in. It is NOT a guarenteed s class. Its the same chance of S class as any other outlaw system of 5%.
For it to spawn, you NEED to already own a freighter, any old freighter.

My least favorite is the falcon body. Reminds me of a duck for some reason lol
And I'm kind of a sucker for the crescent sails. Hex looks good and I know most seem to want those. But I can't help but feel those things should be large, logically, and the hex sails don't look much like they'd do well practically to harness energy. I realize this is completely moot for the game it's just my own hangup.

Slots can be cheaper than class upgrades?

Slots are definitely cheaper than class upgrades.
Class upgrades use nanites which are tedious to farm
Slot upgrades can be obtained via guilds free prizes. Those guild envoys you see in space stations? Do donate to them, unlock their stuff, and soon enough you can farm slots for everything, multitools, ships, frigates, etc etc
For example, once you get a certain level in the explorers guild, you'll unlock free multitools slot in certain space stations
Then, you just need to claim the free stuff, teleport to another space station, and teleport back, and you can claim it again

Just a reminder to all posting ships, please put galaxy and a short description of ship ie type and colour of ship if non custom ships. This enables people to use the search function to find your posts. So if they are looking for a red sentinel ship, they can put red sentinel into search function and look through the results.

Yea I'm not big on the wipeout ship to begin with but the simple fact that it's cut and pasted in everyone's inventory is enough to keep it from taking up a slot in my hangar. Only got 12. And there's a lot more than 12 ships I'd want long before that one
