Each system has 21 different ships, with 1 being the system exotic, if you've seen about that many then you may have seen all of them, and going to a different system to see different ones could be best.

No, aside from editing the save file you can't modify the color of ships, aside from freighters which you can change the color of

starships can't be colored in this game. only freighters get that option. without save editing or using game mods if on PC (check #nms-modding for more info), you must resort to getting a new ship.

it's one reason why there are players who love to hunt ships and share coordinates here or subreddits like NMS Coordinate Exchange & NMS Glyph Exchange, etc.

there's also a glitch out there that allows you to get the "skin" of someone else's ship in multiplayer. see this pin: #nms-legacy-ships message

Found this during the Expedition (Eisenntam) and made a note of the coords. Went back there on my new save and FINALLY managed to get it. Took a lot of waiting around and reloading saves, especially as it's a tier 2 system and this has a 1% chance to spawn, but...there it is.
I have a small base at a trading post if anyone is interested. "Trading Post Squid"

Or, if YOU want the ship, you can just use the coords in the pic and get it from either the space station, or find a trading post yourself. Pretty simple. I was just trying to help shortcut a few steps for anyone interested

Here is my collection of findings from the last couple of days. Just so you guys understand how I do it, since all the Interceptors were only B or C class, I've put Save Beacons at the Harmonic Camps so people can grab staffs and locate spikes on their own as well, especially if you like the ship design and want to hunt for an S Class. I'll post in sections so it's easier to understand. The glyphs to the staffs will be the same as the interceptor image if I post them together.

hey question, how do you guys do your interceptor ship hunts? been trying to get an S class of a type I found on a planet for awhile now on a 3 star system and no luck

100%, they’re fantastic, sentinel shops look cool, but haulers have a lot more slots available to them so are technically “better” plus if you like how they look more then more power to you lol

hello travelers , i have been desperately in search to find an Large Dreadnought Class, Tier 3, S Class Freighter with 4 Supercharged Slots linked Together, vy'keen crew will be ideal but at this point if there is such a beauty of a freighter out there please shear for the glyphs!
