Always look and ask for what galaxy it is when you get a glyph.

Go to the core and move galaxy to galaxy. Best way is to get a taxi. Players who already have access to galaxies. When they are there, you can join them using friend code and you will have access.

Also look for community spotlights in Space Anomaly portal. Jumping there will give you access to galaxies you did not have access.

More like, if you want to have custom ship. You have to work for it. Gather blueprints for parts, crap, pay for the construction (a lot) And it will be X class. So there is a chance it would be worse than natural found C or small chance for better than S

scrap ships? get parts at the scrapyard and then you can rebuild a ship with, not a 100% chance to get the parts (wings, reactors ect..)

Yes scrap ships to get a one time use blueprint for random part from ship model that you scraped ( the more parts ship have , the lower the chance of getting the part that you want.

For colors there are 2 ideas . You paint and pay like in freighter or one time use color blueprint that drops from scrapping. Or to buy from scrap dealer that has 1 random color

nope, for example if you have mecha 7 on the ship, you can either get them, or get mecha 5, or don't get them because they where damages, the higher the starting classe, the more likely you'll get all of the parts.
But you also need IA parts, valve n stuff, you can buy/scrap ship to get them or maybe the scrapyard will have some.
When you have the parts, you choose them, choose a color (or no colors, blank steel ship), choose how long you wait and pay (you can see the odds of the class of the ship, quick and cheap give C class, slow and expensive are nearly garanted S), you wait, and voilà, "unique" ship if you used a QS paint (pure black, gold, silver ect....) with decals and somewhere, you have a Decal with the faction who assembled it, depending on the faction, odds of the classe change (ec. Vykeen will give S class fighters but cannot give/incredebly rare S class haulers)

painting are bought from the scrapyard and can only be used once, not all of the colors are sold by 1 scrapyard

You can buy and scrap either A or S class ships to get 'storage augmentations'. When you get some, go to the ship upgrade thing and select 'apply augmentation.'

A and S class is most common in tier 3 systems, and I recommend finding tier three system that also has tier 3 conflict to maximize ship spawning rate.

I found that an easy way to get units early game is to go to a pirate system and raid the freighter groups there (I also raid the cargo pods, but that tanks your standing. Only attacking the cargo pods on the freighters won't tank your standing.) and sell the contraband you get at a commercial system.

Though that's just from my experience, there's most likely better ways to make units early game that other people know of.

Scrapping the ships gives augmentations. I recommend only scrapping A and S class though, S can give 1 to 3 augs, and A can give 1 to 2.

My favorite thing to do was to go shop hunting, mainly for Salvage ships. They sell for ~20 mil for C class, and go up roughly 10 for each class higher. Got myself to 200mil no problem!

I mentioned that I mainly scrapped ships for money early game, but you also get ship upgrade slots pretty frequently from salvaging them. So when I would take in 8-10 ships at a time I’d get 5-8 ship upgrade slots.

So someone explain to me the process of hunting live ships. When I tried using the NMSGE to find one, I went to the location. Sure enough, there’s a ship… but not a living one. It was a normal shuttle, and not a very good one. (Still claimed it to scrap it for money and parts lol)
Do I need a void egg every time? Do I have to do the starbirth quest each time? What do I need to do to get a living ship that I want?

Not sure about the rest, but I do know that even the first time I did Starbirth, one of the "spawn points" had a regular ship instead of a living one. They say that happens sometimes.

@cosmic lagoon @radiant ingot and @final isle when it asking about a reset, it is referring to if the player is required to reset the quest at the specific crash ship location. To reset at a specific coordinate of a ship you want you need to travel to another galaxy, reset the quest then travel to the specific glyph coordinates and planetary coordinates you should find a regular crash ship if the person has provided the correct info and you have gone to the advertised place, then reset the mission and the mechanical ship will change to a LS.

Every living ship is linked to a crash ship location and their design changes for each crashed ship location, thats why most knowledgeable players will include both glyphs and planetary coordinates when uploading LS discoveries.

You can not find a living ship without the quest active hence needing a void egg.

This information is also found with the command !faq-starbirth or !faq-livingship which you can use in #bot-spam

I always try to throw in one or two who are proficient in combat since that just makes sense to me logically, but otherwise mostly focus on that one stat. And it’s definitely better to err on the side of caution and send more ships than just 1, then if one gets damaged the rest can complete the expedition

do you mean the glyphs? I’d recommend finishing Artemis Path for you to unlock all glyphs. see !faq-ArtemisPath for more info.

also if you have a preferred ship that you see either here or in nmsge, check the bottom left corner of the screenshot or image, that is where you see the coordinates. from there, go to a portal and enter them

some ships I would just hang around at planet trade centers/outposts, and wait for a good one with the analysis visor. I cant remember but the first or second row should show the class, either look for a bird or squid looking one, or just hover over the ship with the analysis visor and see if it is a S class

you can get echo locators from those purple driller things. if you get up close, it'll show whether it will drop an inverted mirror or echo locator. then you can step waayyyyy back and snipe it, get the echo locator, and dig a hole and hide until the heat is off.

Hey everyone, what kind of ship would have the fastest boost? My current traveler ship -i think that kind is called- can go just over 4000u/s in space with power directed to its engines. I don't know much yet about the new kinds of ships from recent updates

You can buy all of em but i have found they go in a sequence/proximity, wait a little sec or fly to another one and the option should appear, also make sure you don’t have 30 frigates already
