Closer to S is generally better as you will have better stats, it’s been noted that upgrading a sentinel ships class can sometimes reduce the base stats so with this in mind the closer to S is better, but i wouldn’t get hung up on trying to locate an S or even A in the wild
Sorta i mean even tho the stats can drop i have gone through about 8 saves now and replaced nearly 6 ships per save with sentinel interceptors most of those have been C and B base class and all of them i have upgraded to S and none of them have worse stats than when i first got em so make of that how you wish.
But finding an S is definitely worth it once you found it but the time it can take doesn’t make it worth it to me

My point is it “can” take a while, regardless the original conversion is regarding sentinel ships not standard ships standard ships are of course easier to get as an S class because of the multiple ways to get them unlike a sentinel ship

find a corrupted sentinel world and use an echo locator to find a camp to find a ship
or fight 5 waves of any sentinels in space and get a device to find the closest corrupted sentinel world and a ship on it

@dense prism, personally, I just visit them all, I've found exotics are more likely to show up faster at space stations ... but the turn over of ships happen faster at trade stations on the planet .. also, I've found my most unusual ships while onbord system frighters ... but that's just my personal experience

Yep that system will have the exact same model (interceptors have 1 model per dissonant system) so you can keep hitting spots, when sharing information about the ship make sure to include the glyphs and galaxy, if you want people to find the specific class included the exact coordinates

The starter ship is not too bad once you put a few mods on it just looks ugly as all hell but I was definitely bullying the pirates and Sentinel interceptors like they were nothing with it

To the best of my knowledge which I only started maybe about 3 weeks ago Sentinel ships are the best one in the game right now though the newest ships you can get the best damage output maneuverability and whatnot of course I'm only three weeks old to the game this is the one I'm presently using and I found it by following a YouTube video

Not 100% certain myself the ones I've picked up I just where the video said for me to go but I have noticed two things about the Sentinel ships they can be a little buggy 1 they will get up and fly away on you while you're trying to repair it and two if you followed the video to a spot where a ship should be and all the stuff 's there but not the ship reload your restore point and it should be there

I didn't consider that but I know I went to a couple that didn't have any bases nearby and they flew off while trying to replace the control unit
The squid ship on the other hand had about 30 bases all around so that is very very feasible for that lol

Also a glitch sometimes, but also possible a procgen base (ie; an outpost) or a trading post was close enough to trigger it.

Oh no you're not wrong it's quite annoying I have been making sure that I get everything ready to take it over making a restore point and then reloading it and the ships there seems to help just gotta be quick to put the piece in or it goes zoom

Also if you're at your base with an active portal start jumping around to the different space stations that you visited the markets tend to have some sometimes especially if the economy for the system was fuel based

I've literally generated 1000s of random seed interceptor ships looking for certain colors in a certain style. but have never used a sentinel ship as a primary. Exotics and the Speeder feel better, IMO.

Interceptors are fancy looking snails when it comes to handling and the feel of flying. They have some fancy amenities such as their hovering ability but in the end they are only as good as their core maneuverability allows them to be.
Unfortunately their core maneuverability is almost at the bottom of the lot.

I hear it's pretty nice. But main downside is no MP (also no settlements). Depending on budget, Steam Deck's a great alternative for that and being able to use game mods / save editing.

Whatever ship u like the look of can be “good”. Ship class can be upgraded to s with nanites (85k from c to s i think). Type of ship for example shuttle and fighter just gives you better boosts in certain stats

Hello to all!
Im trying to find my perfect OG interceptor and im almost there! Just one or two parts too much on those i found.
I search the original interceptor (how they looked before the update) in white, black, red or any combinations of those 3 colors.
Found two that are almost what i wanted.
But the white one has wing extensions "flap" that i don't want
And the red, black and white one has extra "sabre" wings that i don't want eighter
Has someone found the OG interceptor in red/white/black yet?
Coordinates on screenshots are not the original system of those two i found them on reddit and forgot to keep the informations

As you can see, its actually the large decals on the Starscream boosters that give that striking tri-colour appearance
