you need to do the 5 jumps and save on the 4th jump then just keep reloading the save untill you get the ship you want, then once you get the ship you want you save on the station on the same system and keep reloading till you get the class

There are no guaranteed s class freighters systems, most systems have the possibility, however small of getting S class, and what Zidahn said is pretty accurate although the wording could of been better in places

Most of it is luck

End if day, you enter a system and you no clue what you going to find. 3* systems tend to have better looking normal ships, but thats not always true. You might find a system with 2 or 4 nice looking ships and next 1 might be trash

Gek systems spawn more haulers, vykeen fighters, kovak explorers and outlaw solars

Its like this freighter farming system im in with 8 players, exotic keeps spawning every 2 or so min. That's just weird

Main tip is use trade outpost as more ships can land there, especially if you land on grass next to trade outpost instead of landing pad

I don’t have much more than that either I just started about a week ago, how I got my S class large venator is that I did the 3 hours and 4. Prep jumps saved before hand then kept jumping to a new system untill I got the freighter I wanted, luckily it was S class right off the bat so I didn’t have to fly into the station create a save point and keep rolling for the class

Btw familiar role is like the lowsest role you can get when starting out, I ask a lot of questions so I reached the msg requirements for it, also why do you feel the need to be toxic?

it's the new Sentinel Interceptor ships added with the most recent content patch. You have to find a Dissonant system, then find a planet with Corrupt Sentinels. There are guides available (I think even pinned here) on what to do next. I've been hopping from system to system trying to find the perfect fit for my collection, and posting ones that I think others might want to collect.

Every system has a random configuration of parts slapped together on a ship. You just have to find the one you're looking for or scroll through the posts here or on nmsce.com to find it

Get an Echo Locator (from killing all corrupted sentinels, destroying a sentinel freighter or sometimes from destroying a tall corrupted tripod thingy - dissonance resonator? maybe). 2) Activate the echo locator from your inventory, it will point you to a settlement, 3) interact with the "kiosk" there to find location of a ship.

You can also finish off a Sentinel Dreadnought to get an AI Fragment to pop you right to an interceptor.

You can safely walk up to a resonator close enough that targeting it will tell you if a locator or mirror will drop. But mirrors are worth the farm for nanites anyway. Locators are also part of the loot pool from the glass that sentinels can drop.

IIRC, you get those from freighter battles. Hyper jump 5 times and be playing for 3 hours straight. Then you need to save them from pirates as soon as you cone out of hyperspace. Or at least that's what I've heard from YouTube videos.

You also need to save before your 5th jump. That way if its not an S class you can reload until you get one.

Also, if you accidentally hit the freighter while fighting they will call sentinels on you. Just land at the station and take off to get rid of the sentinels. Do NOT get out of your ship when you land in the station.

I've had issues with the freighters lately. I can't believe it's still so easy to get sentinel attention.

after the 4 day quest it’s a lot easier, as long as you have a void egg you just warp through space till contacted and go to the ship, if you don’t like it just deny it and continue on

don’t have to do the quest for every living ship, that’s a one time thing

oh. theres one model ship per system. so when you pop the Dreadnaught AI Fragment in that system.. it will point you to that ship every time. (class may vary)
