There's a guide somewhere.. not sure of the commands. There's probably a guide online but there's a way to reroll the tier. I think you just have to get a save point before your encounter with the freighter (before your final warp) fight the pirates, and then just keep restoring save point and fighting the pirates until you get an s tier

Quick rundown, you find them on Corrupted Worlds! You can destroy a Sentinel Mothership in a 5 star space encounter to get direct coordinates to one. Another option is to find a Corrupted World and fight all 5 Waves of Sentinels!

I had found a planet/system with a ton of solars

The main way you find Interceptors is by starting a fight with sentinels in space (usually by shooting the local space station a little bit then flying away). Get that to tier 5 and destroy the freighter. After that it'll give you an item that you can then analyse to get coordinates to a crashed ship. If you're not in a dissonant system then the coordinates will send you to the closest one in your galaxy map.

Corrupted worlds replace a lot of planets that had extreme sentinel hazard on them (only if they're in dissonant systems)

It's a game of reloading and chance, better pray to the ATLAS so you get some good RNG Rolls.

I'm not so concerned with freighter class as long as it's B tier or higher, because it's so tedious to get something that's only slightly better (I don't even know what stats are different) that I just look for something I like.

Any non Exotic and non Living Ship can spawn in any class

The % chances for each class are based on the system economy level / tier

There aren;t really any rare / unique ships in that bunch

What you are looking at is a solar starship, it might be rare in regulated systems, but there is a metric fuckton of them in outlaw systems

Hunt update: I've managed to track down one of my Sentinel Ships! Come one and come all to the Volcanic Planet of Riffanyme in the Efotnial system to claim this nice orange winged Interceptor!

There is no system with fixed class sentinel freighter. The only thing that's fixed is the model, the class you have to reroll 5000 times to get s class depending on system level.

The only way to get a fixed S class freighter is.

1. Use a mod that changes all freighters to s class.

2. Use a save editor

Nms is mainly about looks than stats, you pick a ship you like the look of. Fully upgraded, all ships perform in real world terms similar

Its not like Skyrim, where you have the best armour, or weapon that you MUST have

For new players, I'd personally say solar is best all rounder, just the fuel efficiency helps new players out, after that its all about the looks
