So, looks like we're getting a slight adjustment to Interceptor procgen, likely to correct an error and allow all parts to generate in all colours and textures. Last time this happened, with Solars, people freaked out and HG rolled back the fix so there are a bunch of impossible combinations on those to this day - please do your part in not making history repeat itself.

Once you have located a Dissonance Spike, proceed there and interact with the Interceptor.

You will need to destroy or quick transfer the Sentinel Glass and the Pugneum, and quick transfer the Hyaline Brain to your inventory.

Probe the Subconscious of the Hyaline Brain in your inventory to receive a waypoint to a Monolith.

Once you have reached the Monolith, interact with it to present the brain. This will transform the Hyaline Brain to a Harmonic Brain which is one of the items you will use to repair the Interceptor.

Now return to the ship, which will be marked as Sentinel Salvage Site and interact with the Interceptor again.

You will need 3 Radiant Shards, 1 Inverted Mirror and the Harmonic Brain you just received. Radiant Shards can be found in abundance on corrupted sentinel planets. The Inverted Mirrors will drop from Dissonant Resonators.

Once you have all the items, repair the Pilot Interface and decide if you want to claim, swap - or just walk away from.

On Foot
On a corrupted sentinel planet in an inhabited system and on a viable planet (Holy long), engage and destroy corrupted sentinels through the level 5 alert. This will not shut down the sentinels as normal waves do, instead it will immediately mark the location of a Dissonance Spike which is where you find the Interceptor.

Unlike normal sentinel battles these waves mark the location immediately at the end of the battle, there can be cases where a non-hostile sentinel is patrolling the vicinity. Do not attack that sentinel, it will trigger the entire battle once again even if you've already completed it.

In Space
Trigger a space battle by shooting the space station, by piracy or by denying to surrender illegal goods. You can acquire illegal goods from Pirate system vendors, killing pirates or destroying freighter cargo pods. You can also start the fight on a planet and then use your ship to continue it in space.

Complete the 5 waves to spawn and destroy the Sentinel freighter which will drop a Dreadnaught AI Fragment.
Once you have the AI Fragment, activate it to locate the nearest Dissonance Spike.

SC math isn't MT-specific, though, it's probably arguably even more relevant for ships since "SC the pulse drive upgrade" is the only thing that seems to actually boost your supercruise speed

if you are, supercharging the base tech will also increase pulse power

After finding a Portal, how do I use it?

On one of its sides, there's a terminal - it will pop out of the ground once you approach it. Interacting with it for the first time should prompt you to charge the portal up, and that's done by individually charging up all glyphs in the glyph wheel to 100%.

I charged up the portal, but nothing is happening?

Double check all the glyphs charge bars: one or more aren't 100% charged.

I fully charged up the portal; now, which option do I choose?

Activate Portal will display the address input screen - Each portal address is made up of 12 glyphs. A Portal can only lead to locations in the same galaxy.
Request Planet Address will provide the current planet's glyph address, though this option is barely used today, due to the glyph address also showing up in photo mode.

After selecting Activate Portal, I don't have any glyphs available to input!
You need to learn the 16 glyphs to fully use the portal network. (though after having learned 1 or 2 glyphs you could already go places, just very limited choices 😉)

📖 Did you know? The portal you charged up should still be good for a few more trips, even to different destinations. Bookmarking it with a base computer is probably a wise choice.

Im kinda in the early-middle stages of the game I think. Few mil (1-3) units at a time, whats the best way to get a new ship and is it better to target more tech/cargo or more stats?

Or you could possibly get a sentinel ship, but that means shooting sentinels

Id go tech/cargo all the way

but the more tech/cargo the more money they are

A lot depends on how many units you have and how easy you can get units and/or nanites

and with the new expansion, that might change things as well, Im not sure how easy the sentinels/dread is to kill with different gear levels

They only spawn when they are activated through the 3 ways, beacon, defeating 5 levels of corrupt or the multitool location computers

How do I find a corrupted sent planet? Just chance from visiting systms?

Hard bit is killing new sentinels or sentinel dread if your not well geared

If you look on galaxy map and look at a system, where is says water, well some say dissonant and that has a corrupted sentinel planet in it

When you get in system and you look over a planet, where it says sentinel level ie aggressive it will say corrupted sentinels intead
