Yeah, they upgrade well. I usually favour hyperdrive, and get like 2200ly with 1500 or so maneuverability. Not optimized, but fairly maxed.

no but you can use ship to kill the drill things to get beacons - ignore the 1 sentinel. while you fly low.

if you find sentinal pillar on corrupt world and turn it off.. you can roam around killing the drill guys without being attacked.

You may not be able to find any with a purple glow, but it's definitely possible to find ones with purple accents, or purple as one of their main base colors.

The first one still technically has a few green accents in certain locations, however.

Yes, you can. But you have to be lucky to pass their location. I’ve found a few but just flying low on corrupted planets. Sadly, no good models. But you can find them that way.

• Uninhabited systems
• Glitch worlds
• Airless empty worlds with no flora/fauna
  are all ones you can just skip on outright safely

I just got a dreadnought AI fragment from a nexus mission. So i use that and then get pointed to a crashed sentinel ship, so it's like normal ships you claim at a distress beacon right? Any tips for getting a better ship or is it just random?

The pull is random, you can get any class from a beacon. Economy does affect the class of ships that spawn (T1 doesn't seem to spawn A or S for example), but you can't always control where the fragment points you, even if you're in the right type of system it sometimes tells you to go elsewhere, and even if you have a second item sometimes "rerolling" (another of the same ship, different class, same planet/system) doesn't work, you waste the item, and it points you to the same place as your first beacon.

Technically, yes.

Unless you have a lot of them, nah; no gaming the system, really. But you can skip the item and follow someone else's to their found ship using coordinates, base placement, or beacons.

If you dupe, or farm the item, you can kind of reroll and game it, but it can be costly either in grinding or time looking.

The only guaranteed rolls are the position of supercharged slots that are unlocked for the particular class of the ship you’re looking at.

In case you find a natural S class, twice, you will find different supercharged slot positioning.

But you can save reload the dreadnought ai fragment to look for the ship design. Before using the fragment make a save point. Use fragment, go to location. Use photo mode to look at the ship. Reload save if you don’t like it. The fragment won’t disappear.

Harsh galaxies appear to have the same characteristics as a normal galaxy, but the main difference is the fact that harsh galaxies are much more likely to have extreme planets compared to a normal galaxy, similar to a normal galaxy in Survival or Permadeath difficulty.

I don't know how true that is, or if that's one of those weird things where the biomes are generally the same but the temperature/storms can "appear" different based on the player-- I know that my spawn planet was always temperate for me, but a friend saw storm crystal level storms on it

You can get the expedition room blueprint at the space anommaly

@winter obsidian Dream Aerial actually randomizes Class of your first LF, so if it was your first, you don't know it's a natural S Class, and if it wasnt your first, need to warn people not to use Dream Aerial to get it as their first.

How do you manipulate the Echo to find more versions of the ship you like so you can find a S-Rank again? Do you just find your preferred ship, take the brain out, and then just pop another Echo?

If using just the echo, move around the planet (pulse into space, go way away from first marker and back in atmosphere) between uses. Doesn't matter what state the first echo is in as long as it isn't still pointing you to the camp part. Just don't be anywhere near where you popped the first, echo and dreadnaught ai are both location based in atmosphere.

If you get the same location you're either not far enough away, or it's stuck. Not sure if stuck means there's only one, but it might. Ive been sent back and forth between 2 ships over and over before, which makes me think they were the only two ships there.

I think there are definitely occasions where there's one or two ships only, I've been sent back and forth between two ships 10x before. Not entirely sure, but my guess is it's based on planet size.
