Get ur hands on some memory fragment class upgrade and won’t need to take it to station to figure super slots and can reload restore in ship so you don’t override ur current one

@patent grail, @paper dune what I think is happening here is that the seed of the ships are maintaining the parts/color/design but fundamentally these ships are different from each other. I won’t be surprised if we could check the base stats and bonus stat rolls for each of these ships in the save editor and find a different value for each.

i have not done much ship hunting or testing yet but my guess would be that initial SC slots are tied to the crash and upgrade slots come from the ship seed. the same way tools work( need to test to confirm)

yes if you want to hunt a specific slot layout you need to first check that ships seeds slot sequence by upgrading from C clas to S class. then work out what slots you need from the crashsite to be able to upgrade to the desired slots

i just did a few more ships to test the slot layout theory and i found a wildcard to the theory. if the crashsite asigns a slot location that would normaly be in the sequence of upgrade slots then it will skip that one and go to the next one in the sequence. esentialy adding a different location to the end of the sequence.

I (as Reddit nickname Kracotte) added informations about how getting it.

I would like to add that those coordinates sent me on the ringed grassy planet behind. It's the moon that is corrupted and not the planet.
More over, the moon has extreme heat firestorms (~137°C-145°C // 278°F-293°F), so it's best to be prepared before going in.
There aren't any planet coordinates there, but as you might need to loot Inverted Mirrors from Dissonant Resonators, you could get coordinates after those 5 waves of Sentinel combat if you arrive there with empty pockets. Destroying those resonators will trigger Sentinel combat.

what I try to do with a ship that has SC slots next to each other is to put all y biggest upgrades for the stat I am minmaxing in those, and then put the rest of the modules in such a way that it connects in a 2/3 by X to each other

You'll have to move around a few things to find the combination that gives the highest stats possible

Ship hunting is basically hanging around stations or trade outposts and seeing if anything interesting comes in. Then we take a screenshot with glyphs.

Or it can be hunting for a specific ship that you have seen on a discord server or Web site

Hunting for s class freighter, is in my opinion the worst activity you have to do on every save

Can be lucky and get 1st time, or can be 4, 5, 6 hours

You can transfer, but doesn't always work for a bunch of reasons.

I found an A-Class but I'm not a fan of the supercharge slot

Not directly, you could use the item and get another ship from that system with different slots, but might not be A-Class, you'd have to keep rolling for one.

I've been having issues with this, not sure about you. but sometimes it'll give me the same ship location, some locations won't even have a ship (yes I have multiplayer turned off)

Keep it in your log as "need to fix" then reroll. Or reroll back and forth with echo locator and AI frag, but move around the planet, and be in-atmo (showing coords in-ship) when you use the item again

Must be nothing else in range. Move to the complete opposite side of the planet and try. If it still happens, it's stuck and I'm unsure how to fix it (or maybe just one there? unsure). 9/10 times, it works perfect.

I never see "need to fix" btw. it says to "purge the damaged ship of sentinel taint" and "make the ship fit for non-sentinel pilot"
