From my understanding you'd need to be in Euclid. If you don't already, set up a base in whatever galaxy you're in, so you can teleport back. It let's you do so freely. The coordinates can be found online, but those are the coordinates for a portal

No. That specific ship will appear at the specific lat/lon when you reset starbirth mission to current location (assuming you portaled to the correct planet in the correct galaxy)

Good. Make a save at the coordinates and keep reloading and resetting, you should get that location to trigger

It can be buggy, sometimes requires a couple reloads

Freighter resetting isn't even really "grind" in my eyes, because there's zero player skill involved.

Finding a decent planet/ship can at least be made more effective by following naming conventions of planets, game design choices (e.g. living ships afaik having a higher chance at similar colors in the same system?) and more.

Freighter resetting is just resetting the game and rolling a dice.

You have to go to a faraway system then go to the mission in the log and reset it with nearby structures

Then you get the pulse encounter and hatch the egg

But instead of going to the objective marker, you disable multiplayer, go back to the coords for the ship you want, then exit your ship to make a save

fighters,haulers and explorers all have different bonuses, fighters have weapon dmg bonus. explorers have hyperdrive bonus.
exotic ships have good bonuses for all stats

i would say that now supercharged slot arrangement is more important than ship type imo

if i remember rightly haulers have good shield bonus and can have the most cargo slots but they have really bad maneuverability.

Would the best way to find this freighter be to portal to this system, warp to a neighbouring system, wait 3 hours, pop a save then warp back to origional system and keep reloading and warping till it drops as s class?

No, there is a customizer boy that you can use paired with nms.center and if there is a ship with what you make, the bit will give you a portal glyph location. 99% of the time it works.

You can be AFK, for example drifting in space or standing in a base

The game needs to be running and doing stuff

No photo mode, no sitting in pause menu

Ok i got it to spawn the only thing is its green not white, will this be down to a update that has changed the way freighters are coloured or something?

freighter colours seem to be randomized every time they spawn

including your own

No its green everytime it spawns but its just the post i was referencing was for a all white iys identical in every other way except colour

Each system has only 1 model of capital freighter

So it should be perfectly the same
