How to farm a single planet for multiple/all Crash/Living ship locations.

First off, you must have completed the Starbirth mission. You must have already obtained a Void egg and 10000 nanites for each LS you wish to keep. Make sure you only have a single Void egg in your exosuit inventory at a anytime, ONLY ONE. All of this is required for any Living ship(LS) acquisition...
In this video linked below(no audio), you will repeatedly see me pulse to my freighter after rejecting a LS. Each time it is from a different LS location on the same planet. For this process to work you must first place your freighter in a location where the targeted planet is the second closest planet to your Freighters location. Then you place the Anomaly further out on the same trajectory from the target planet to your Freighter. The above requirements also apply to the Anomaly location. You do this because sometimes it takes longer to activate this Encounter with the LS that provides locations. If the target planet has a moon it makes this really easy to set up. The same goes for systems with fewer planets

Make sure you check and verify distances, as you are ready to start culling the planet.

Now, start on or in orbit of the target planet and pulse toward your Freighter. If nothing happens before you reach your Freighter, pulse onward to the Anomaly. Once you involve the Anomaly, keep pulsing between the Freighter and the Anomaly until you activate the Encounter. If this Encounter activates before you are far enough away from the target planet to make it the second closest to you, just remain pulsing until you are closer to your Freighter. You have 20 seconds to drag the LS close enough to your freighter to exit pulse mode and start the conversation with the Encountered LS. If any parameters fail, reload your save and you are back on the planet having just landed at an LS location.

If the Living ship is invisible or has not converted into a Living ship, upon landing and exiting your ship, reload your autosave. That should correct the issue.

If you find a ship you wish to keep, and you wish to continue culling the planet after you claim a Living ship, you MUST make a manual save and an autosave BEFORE you start your conversation with the Living ship you just found. If you change your mind just reload your save so you are back to the point of just landing at the LS location.

@green drum also, in addition to the bot message info, there is a bug/feature worth noting right now:

After the battle triggers, just land in the station and create a save.
This will make the battle disappear.
But that's ok, just go back outside and find the freighter.
Use first person and the ship scanner to help you locate it.
Land in it and look at the floor with your visor, you can see the class that way.
If it's not the class you want, reload the restore point and repeat.
Note 1: It will say you need to pay for it if you're still entitled to a free one, but it won't actually cost you anything.

All the post’s, coordinate’s that I’ve checked are prior to the switch release (10/7/22)? As I have not found anything newer or shouts out “switch squid found!”🤣🤷‍♂️. There were a few coordinates that did not lead to the described “named” system, even after double checking the coordinates. I’ve reloaded countless times, at many different locations. At this point color doesn’t matter, either I’m having extreme bad luck, or something’s different. Just looking for a confirmation that squid ships have been found on the switch.

@hexed island Best bet if youre stuck on a planet and need to see true colour, turn on your torch, shine it on the ship, go into Photo Mode, and move the sun to the opposite side of the planet - the torch casts white light, so using it to check a ship in the middle of the night avoids those confusing atmospheric light filters.

@kindred hull Class and slots are the only things that show accurately for any ship that isnt currently your active one. For the rest of the stats, what youre seeing is the stats your own active ship seed would have, if it had the type, class, and installed tech of the target ship.

How I knew? No A Class Solar with Horza tips will ever have Core Maneuverability below ~375-380.

Any seed can spawn 1 of every type of ship, seed values are not intrinsic to any specific thing, so the same seed can also be used to spawn a capital or system freighter, a royal or other MT, a full set of mechanical frigates, 1 living frigate, even 1 of each type of fauna, a plant, and a mineral.

You can find the style and color with coords, but class is a waiting game. You improve your chances slightly by being in a T3 economy.

@rigid sentinel You cannot target a specific model for your 1st, there is 1 spawn per system you can obtain from the initial quest, so unless you find posts for models specifically scouted under those conditions, youre better off targeting a model you like with your 2nd Void Egg

Lendel is in NMH's Eissentam capital, 39 total base stats of a possible 40, Toguc is EoE space, which is a free fire PvP zone, so please disable MP prior to travelling there if you decide to grab it. (Since it's a designated PvP region, players travelling with MP on but PvP off are investigated as possible griefers)

@true basin EoE is a community for 'civilized' PvP, there is an honour code for combat that members must follow else be banned, such as vanilla tech only - nothing allowed that all players cannot utilize. So outside players showing up with save edited tech is one of the security concerns I and other admins need to stay on top of. That's why anyone in EoE space with MP on/PvP off is suspected as a potential griefer.

I'm not deluded enough to try and tell players where they can go and with what, MP off for those not wishing to participate is merely a request, so that I don't need to waste time chasing players who are just passing through to grab a piece of tech or for whatever other reason.

We chose the far outside corner of galaxy 150 specifically because of its remoteness, so random traffic would be more or less a non-issue - but I can't help but scout tech wherever I roam, so I have a growing collection of finds that I've posted outside EoE because I likes to share with the wider community.
