If they're good, go for it it - you can always get another (or the same) solar later. Likewise, you can always find another exotic ship later, too.

If you're early game, which judging by your shortage of units you are, then upgrading to an S Class ship of any kind will be huge.
I prefer a solar ship, especially early game, so I'd head to an outlaw system and wait for an S class of that. It'll likely be cheaper, too.
If you like the look of that exotic ship, though, save the system coordinates so you can portal back there later and snag one. Take a screenshot with glyphs on.

It's a thing, happened to me when I was hunting my resurgent. It started off red, then after a handful of reloads it changed colors (not shape or parts) to green and stayed that color until I got the S class to spawn. After I bought it, it went back to red lol. I ended up dying it black anyway

not a fan of the short tail engine configuration - box tail is longer with a vertical configuration and looks nicer, to me
the NMSCE website is pretty lacking in what people share to it haha
easier to search, but less results. reddit has more results, but it's the wild west of what people decide to describe each part
there's like 3 different names for the box tail, some people call the d-flects tie wings, etc

The 1st glyph in portal address is the planet index - it indicates on which planet in the system the screenshot was taken
Because ships are generated per system, you can find the same ships on all planets
You can find the same ship on planet A or planet B or C... Hence the difference in 1st glyph
