In order for screenshots to show glyphs, you need to take them using your platforms / system screenshot tool or 3rd party tool, not with the in game photo mode
The in-game photo mode only captures the content of the game without overlay, which has the glyphs
Meanwhile system screenshot tool captures the output of the game - everything that is rendered and send to display, including overlay with glyphs

@winter obsidianplay for three hours and warp to five different systems. you will warp into a fleet under attack. it will be free but i would advise picking up one that is valued a lot and that you like the appearance of.

Im looking for a better Living Frigatte, and i have the anomaly detector and everything, but while scanning for anomaly signatures, i just seem to get the basic Anomaly symbol, so i never know which anomaly i get. but in the youtube tutorial videos for living freighters, i can see that the symbol should change to tell you which kind of anomaly you get when you leave hyperspace.
but it just wont change for me.
any ideas? 🤷♂️

yes, but if you already own a freighter you will need to pay the difference. say you own a 30mil C class but find a 120mil S, you can exchange but need to cough up the 90mil difference

ok, so... I have warped plenty more than 5 times, used the nmsce to find a system that has a known spawn of the ship I want, I have portaled to said system and then warped one jump away...... now I just wait for the 3 hour mark and then warp back into the system I portaled into?

Not really, there are 2 conditions that are tracked separately: 5 warps and 3 hours of playtime
Warps need to be done in a starship, so using a portal does not count

kinda, not really. there's a glitch that allows you to sell your ship to an npc in a multiplayer session then have the other player buy the ship from the npc, but it loses all mods and re-rolls stats. also, no idea if it still works

don't use stations. install economy scanner, locate trade depot, park on ground, not on pad. drop a save beacon at depot. watch a few waves come in, reload, repeat
by not occupying a pad you'll see one additional ship per wave and more ships per wave than station

my personal opinion is that spawns don't really matter, every ship can be upgraded to max anything. looks over spawn... also manually upgrading class often yields better stats than rng

haulers only real advantage is the extra cargo space, they do favor shields but not to an extreme degree. still a good ship, though I prefer to use freighter storage and not a hauler fan generally

Your upgrades in the inventory tab. The tech tab will be fine. Also it is only the active ship and tool that get affected. Equip a tool and ship you don't use and then go through the core, then switch to your main tool and call in your main ship.
You sadly can't protect your exosuits normal inventory like you can with the ship and tool.

That's the problem then. Use your economy scanner to scan for a trade outpost in the system and wait there. If you preform the scan in the atmosphere of a planet it will give you an outpost from that planet instead of a random planet if you do the scan from space.

You get tech upgrades equal to the rank of the ship you scrap. Like one or two. Some s ranks also give AI Valve's which are good for seeling for units. C ranks give c rank and so on.

Freighter warps do not count, portals do not count, not sure about warps from Nexus missions

have you already finished Starbirth once?
if so, all you need to do is activate the quest again by pulsing with a void egg until you encounter a living ship, use a portal to warp to the system where the ship you want is, travel to it's planet and coordinates, then restart the starbirth mission from the menu.
if you wish to instead go hunting for a living ship yourself, make a manual save with the void egg in your inventory, then pulse until you encounter the activation. go to the coordinates and if you don't like the look of the ship, reload the manual save. when you reload you can either try again in the same system, or warp to a different one

That's why it's a good practice to take the photos in lighting neutral coniditons like when flying in space
Space station lighting (especially on outlaws stations), planetary atmosphere or color filters on exotic worlds can shift the colors pretty heavily

You can use the economy scanner to scan directly for location of trading outpost
It's in the utilities section of the quick menu
The reason for using trading outposts is that you can make a manual save there using a save point / beacon
And reload that save as soon as you don't see the ship you want landing at the outpost
With space stations you have to wait till the ships fly in and land to really check if that wave has the ship you're looking for
Camping at planetary outpost and reloading the save gives you more control over that process

Oh okay nice. Ye I waited over an hour at the outpost with a few save reloads. Weird because the wiki says it's up to date since July 19th 2022 so I think the ship should still be around.

Well, you can either get a fighter that already spawns with bigger inventory size, but that will drive the price up
Or go with any other design and then grind for upgrades for it, including storage space

Nmsce.com can be kind of iffy but if you stick to 2021 and up its mostly accurate.

Yes, ships can vary in stats in class
Each inhabited system as a pool of 21 ship models
All starships you can find in that system are taken from that pool - ships you find on space stations, trading outposts, crashed, drowned, on freighters, etc
Ships have different chances of spawning in different classes based on the level of system's economy

cynerak, not all play with the reload method. many only keep what they find themselves, no reloads. actually, you dont even need to find a good model yourself. you can get the portal adress of a good model, and reload until it appear. but, imagine finding a unique, sexy ship in a system discovered by yourself, and its S. maybe takes 50h ingame, but so worth it^^

Squids don't have any combinations, other exotics have always the ball cockpit and just different set of wings and nose
The color palette is also very limited (red, orange, yellow, blue or white with golden or silver accents)

I am hunting for a Star Wars type capital ship, I keep reloading the freighter rescue save and warping to affluent systems, I have not seen any capital type ships show up, just big system freighters like these below. Two questions:
1 - If I go back to the same system It just give me the same ship?
2 - Is there a step that I’m missing to try to trigger the capital ship or is it all based on luck?
