i hear you get 1 type of S class per space station but when i wait at a spot thats suppose to be an exotic royal series 7 ship and random S class hauler shows up

I understand the 3 star space stations but it seems the type of S/Exotic you get is random. I'm waiting at a specific station where an Exotic ship is suppose to be a first wave ship but I reload 10x to find out the only S class ship that comes in is a hauler LOL

just cause it says its wave 1, it might not be wave 1, most times i find they are wave 1 - 4, although i think an update might of changed waves with some ship, as a wave 1 ship I knew was definitely wave 1, 3 months ago, doesnt seem to be wave 1 anymore

usually the more up to date the post, the more chance the info is going to be correct

I also look for crashed versions, as far as i know they dont seem to change

You never know the endurance update might of changed things

My best advice is instead of just checking wave 1, check waves 1 - 5 before reloading

and if it doesnt come within 4 reloads, its probably changed and you might have to sit there 1 hour before it comes

i don't - however, what you can do is take the coords to that system, jump to an uninhabited system (there's one nearby that I used that I named "Jump Here"), then jump back to the system you portaled to. it will trigger the rescue mission (they don't trigger in uninhabited systems so you can use that as a buffer). then go to the space station and make your autosave @sacred hollow

There is a really easy way to find portals BTW. I would tell you how but my game crashed

Portals via monolitha via ruin data charts from navigators

Using your land exocraft, you can scan for alien structures, they will nearly always take you to a monolith, monoliths are what lead you to portals

Or just go to anomoly and check others portals if they have a base there

Like giving your ship you want them to use will spawn a specific NPC based on a race

So I need to get 2 separate ships of the same model in order to max my squad with the same ship

Its completely randomized each system had its own specific Capital Ship that exclusively spawns in rescue event missions

The class is RNG tho randomized fully

The style and appearance remains the same in their respective System where they spawn

If you identify a system where you want a ship from, warp your freighter there before triggering the attack (make sure you have a teleporter on board).

warp in the area until you are going to trigger the attack then warp to the system with your freighter. land on your freighter (autosaves) and now you can fly ship to target freighter and view the class, if you don't like it then claim the reward (bulk cargo space). fly back to your freighter, teleport to a different system then straight back to freighter. it'll retrigger the event and you can repeat until you find a ship class you like

Go to the NMScoordinateExchange and search S class freighter or capital ship and you can get the glyphs to put you right where you need to be for what you want. Be sure to save after each jump near the freighters system around 3hrs so if it’s not S class you can reload and try again

You could use nmsce to find one you like. The freighter in a system is the same every-time.

Get like 3 alien maps from carto. Use till you find monoloth. Solve the riddle. If you fail riddle reload. After its solved you can exchange a cultural relic for coordinates of portal. If you need a relic find a trading post. Ships that land will have the one you need in the same system.

just like how HG makes these damn ships so hard and unpredictable to get. I would not care if getting and s class ship was hard if not so hard I wouldn't wnat to do it but at least make it clerar

My suggestion to HG? Honestly that's tough because game design can be fragile.

First off, after the freighter update I feel like they really ought to have reconsidered how to acquire s-class freighters because of how much more sought after they are now. I'm angry not just ebcause I wasted my time but because I feel like getting an s-class freighter is essential to enjoying playing on creative mode. Not wanted, essential because of how much of the game is put behind these things. I play creative so I don't have to jump through a ton of time wasting hoops to get to the cool and fun toys, imo I should be able to buy upgrade and customize these things however I want and the only reason I can't is because you're creating artificial scarcity.

That said, what change could I suggest that would fit in the game and the devs vision? Add capital ship fights to station missions you can pick up. Not capital ship raids, help requests and the like. Maybe add some hidden parameter where s-class ships more likely spawn in certain systems to player farming for it can get it faster. Maybe adjust the numbers to make the odds more friendly too. Consider this, how much time will a determined player spend gridning for one of these ships on avewrage assuming they're using every trick in the book? That answer should not be longer than 3 hours.

no - if you take a portal there, it won't start because you have to hyperjump into the system for the trigger. so what you want to do is portal there, then hyperjump to a nearby uninhabited system that I called "Jump Here", and then jump back to that system you portaled to.

The rescue mission never triggers in an uninhabited system

yes. basically requires 6 hours in game on a new save instead of 3 since you need to reject the first free freighter

well, minimum 6, you still need to roll an S which might take many reloads. but it will be free if it's the first freighter you accept

you just need the egg and 10k nanites, no redoing the whole quest over

but you need to have gone through the whole quest with waiting and all that once first

ok, well i guess it needs to get around that the 1st pass is broken af, doing it 'by the book' resets it to the portal step if it would update the crash in front of you, otherwise it just spitballs a random "anywhere else" location doing the targeted ship method on 1st go

i'll just burn the currencies and try on another pass

sorry I don't have any better ideas, at least on 2nd+ attempt there's no waiting period, just trigger the quest and should be able to buy for 10k nanites. easier to reload and retry without the 5 day wait too

reddit says it doesn't work on 1st pass, i went to check what their catalog had after the NMSCE one was a bust, turns out Reddit is the only 1 that mentions you can only target on the post-quest ships

unfortunately 'what went wrong' just appears to be lack of info that cherries are dirty in the living ship department

it's always been a really buggy quest which is why I also typically recommend second egg for targeting, but I'm often proven wrong when someone points out some method I never would have thought of

Wish I could post screenshots, but there's a flat freighter, b-class with 29 slots and 4 Cargo Slots. They want to exchange it for 58m, but I'm not sure if it would be worth ( I don't have the units... and I've put a bunch of engine upgrades into my current one). My current is a 20 slot with 2 cargo slots.... but I also put a lot of rooms into it.

Do you think it'd be worth it to exchange or if not, at what point /should/ i consider exchanging?

I found a pirate space station that seemingly spawns a random S ship on the first wave. I thought it was just Solar at first after getting a few, but then I got an S fighter and an S explorer. Super happy, would love to share location but don't know how

ONE time it didn't spawn an S out of about 10

It seems to work more if I teleport there rather than do the autosave thing? Idk still experimenting. Been playin about a month

Ok guys. Just got another S solar, but on the 5th ship that came in? Very strange. If it doesnt work the first time I'd give it a couple tries. Not sure how these are being generated, but they are for me. So far Ive gotten 5 solar, 1 explorer, 1 fighter out of maybe 10 attempts roughly. Goodluck
