@wise turtle The comprehensive answer is that it depends. When you purchase a Solar at S Class, it will randomly roll class bonuses, +40-50% damage, +15-35% shield, +25-35% range. When you upgrade a Solar to S Class, those bonus rolls are locked to seed, no matter what class you purchased at, nor how many times, when upgraded to S it will have identical base stats. It boils down to this - a good seed will generally benefit more from upgrading to S than purchasing an S, a mediocre seed is better to purchase at S for the chance at likely better bonus rolls than it will naturally have. How to tell which it is? Purchase to check its maneuverability at B Class or better, if it is >400 at B Class it's a good/great seed, >410 at A, >440 at S. If it isn't good, reload and hunt for that natural S.

Tip: When hunting for solars you can check the colour of sails in ship upgrade/ melt station. I know you need to buy it first but it may save you some time . no need to fly out and go back to space station. you can check multiple ships by that method before they fly away.

Supposedly yes, but the percent chance depends on the system economy. Tier 3 economy gives 2% chance, tier 2 1%

Tier 1 reportedly has a very poor chance of S class. And pirate systems have a 5% chance for starships, so maybe for freighters

But still..let me give you a short version....if you looking for capital ship 3 hours is minimum gap before you get next one....for example
If you get into freighter battle don't accept and move on... then you need three hours gap

And as for autosave no it doesn't.... i have autosaved already just before battle... and it will be just before battle even after i login after 6-8 hours

Playtime doesn't stack. No.

Coz if it were stacking you won't get another battle.

oh, so basically its just a system type, you can try warping on tier 3 economy system's to try your RNG.

Just make sure you're warping in korvax dominant system so you will get Korvax crews.

They work differently....when you hunting ship...you reload it throws you back in time....and you start over... fresh.... but it also means that the gap between freighter battle also gets restored....for example lets say you are 10 min away from next freighter battle....if you reload 5 times to get that exotic ship....you will still be 10min away from freighter battle after last reload

Yes, the colours are the same. Each system has 1 fixed capital freighter model, and that includes it's colours

The rest can change depending on the economy tier of the system

So please don't post stuff like "easily obtainable S class"

Just because you got lucky and got the freighter spawn in S class doesn't mean it will do so for other players who visit the same system

The chances for S class ships to spawn in the wild (freighters included) is max 5%

Fighter would have the highest damage. If you want an S class and you don't care so much about the look of the ship, go to any vykeen outlaw system. There's 5% chance for S in outlaw and vykeen systems have fighter chance of fighter

So "Capital" freighters as shown in that infographic aren't necessarily more rare. They just have better inventory and stats I think? than the others. You trigger the pirate freighter battle, and you'll always get those types of ships available to get for free if it's your first freighter or to buy.

I followed up on this to confirm and no, there's no rarity attached to freighters, as a form of "drop / spawn chance". you can get coordinates to known locations so you can farm them too from a given pool of system freighters in a given system

maybe do two saves so you can enjoy both or just make note of location of one, and get it as a replacement when you grow tired of the first one you pick. or try to flip the coin. if you're not happy with coin's choice, pick the other

regarding Galaxy? if you're a new player, you're probably in Euclid. but players can be in any one of the 256 galaxies of NMS. glyph coordinates shared, like those in your screenshot, depend on galaxy. as in, if a player wants to go find the ship you posted, at that location, you must clarify what galaxy it's in, where they can find / farm it

oh no you never visited the space station in that system where the freighter is? and didn't put down a base computer to teleport to? maybe use the feature in Discoveries where you can try marking the system so it potentially shows in your galaxy map? i'm not sure how well that works depending on how far you are from it though. if in a different galaxy, you'd have to return to the galaxy it's in.

Every system has an exotic, higher chance of spawning in T3 systems.
Finish the Artemis Path to get the glyphs or find more Travellers in space stations.

Depends on your play style. They're all good generally. Fighters (Vy'keen systems) have the highest damage, Haulers (Gek systems) have the highest shields, and Explorers (Korvax systems) have the highest warp range.

Shuttles have balanced, low stats. Exotics have balanced, high stats.

It's easy enough, decide what sort you want and then go where the spawn chance will be good for it. For example: Gek systems have more hauler models so that would be where to start if looking for a hauler. Vykeen like fighters, Korvax like explorers, and Outlaws like solar ships

If you look at the pins here, a lot of ship parts are named so you can search for them as well (typically going to one requires use of the Portal system).

Ok i got it. After you exit the station there should a freighter near the station which can be claimed for free. You don't even have to fight the enemies. And you can just reload to get a S class.

Well, yeah, fighters are the most maneuverable and have most powerful guns, though there is more to the starships for me than thrusters and guns)

So I screwed up horribly trying to get a Captial Ship, on my fifth warp/4hrs in I didn't get a Captial Ship but a normal Freighter. I'm on my 30+ warp now and was wondering if I'll ever get another free frigate so I can get my Captial Ship.

Captial Freighters only come in two forms. The Imperial Star Destroy-looking Captial Freighter (looks like it's from Star Wars) and the Sentinel Captial Ship which looks like a NMS version of a Warhammer Captial Ship. Normal Freighters have the giant sphere head, spinning wheel, smaller wheel head, a small ship-like front with a turret on top ect

Pass some chlorine or ionized cobalt thru a refiner with oxygen and the output ratio is 1:6mineral 2:6oxygen

But if you're talking Captial Ship from a randomly generated Captial Ship you stumble on outside of them being attacked? I dont know if its stil a thing but you could tell the difference because they usually had a random generated faction emblem on the side, most I see is a Triangle/Pyramid with a circle behind it. If it doens't have any visual vinyl then its from porting into a fight

Captial Freighters have the max inventory slots and normal freighters will never have as many, naturally occuring inventory slots along with a better warp

If you reset on a Captial Freighter and get it S-Rank it'll only have one to two inventory slots missing from its max. Where as Normal Freighters max at A Rank is 18 and like 20ish something at S-Rank.

Basically if you're new to playing NMS people usually go for the big boys/girls like the Imperial/Sentinel Ships and players who've been playing the game for longer usually opt out for a randomly generating normal freighter because they're, at least ot me cool looking

Find AI deep deposit and power source relativly close to eachother (hardest task if you want S+S class)

Mark max deposit spot (center of farm)
Build extractors connect them . Mark for 2,5k extraction per h extractor set.
Add storage to extractor set
Each extractor set needs own storage not conected to other set.
Place one silo per set from wich you will be gathering AI
