Correct, but as I stated, their ID doesn’t allow interaction, this is irrespective of if the player tries to interact in the wild or even if the creature was made a pet, not all creatures even if made a pet with a save editor have interaction available.

Depends which one, low flyers like beetles, butterflies ect can but high flyers like worms and birds you can’t and require a mod or save editor to make them a pet.

Sure do but bear in mind you can’t interact with it and it will just fly around above you in a tight circle.

It is a bit wacky but basically putting in materials till you get what you want. It will tell you if it makes it a positive or negative so you can get better results that way. I don't understand how the colors work yet but I am testing a bunch FOR SCIENCE!

Personal experience: for cool things like dragons or eagles you have to trade them with people who have modded them, for things that you can actually have that fly there are like moths and butterflies but also beetles.

(I cannot have eagles and dragons because I am on switch)

No, it’s what creature ID is used, the bone worm uses the sandworm ID whereas most worm pets players will have uses the Flyingsnake ID, the sandworm ID.

The bone worm model isn’t a model present on the Flyingsnake so only way to have it as a pet is to use that sandworm ID

The effects give that percent of effectiveness when less than 100% is added, and many different items/substances give different %, gold being one of the most efficient for Growth Hormone (that isn't their maximum though, multiple 100% doses can be applied repeatedly to reach true maximums, which is when it will say "inherited" compared to the previous state of the egg)

I believe companions hatched from eggs take a few days to be able to lay eggs, not exactly sure though

I tried to find a planet for cadmiums, found one, on a fungal planet, and this particular planet has only 1 fauna inhabiting it, and is this speck of light. Some living sparkles, and for some reason, I can feed said sparkles, and adopted one as a pet.

Yes, the material doesn't matter. But I have found that Geodesite is typically one of the ones that requires the least amount of it to work

You typically can't without mods, like since I'm on console I can't even interact with flying creatures. The only way I got that dragon thing is because someone traded it to me, the worms are from expedition 4. It's really only expeditions, modding/save editor, or receiving one from someone

Note that this should hatch at 3m given its original creature, once you obtain an egg from the original input any small amount of item into the Neural Calibrator in the egg sequencer, this should hopefully allow the induced egg to hatch at 3m if the parent is 3m

I also highly advise not altering your system clock to advance that egg timer.

Ok, I normally adopted a pet like this. A wisp-like creature that I found from a fungal planet. Later, I managed to had it lay an egg for me so I will do some modifications with it on an egg sequencer. So this for example is a start

After the genetic modifications, and a day passed for an egg to finally hatched. And this is what I got, a rolling ball of whatever this is. A ball of plasma or light maybe.

You cannot normally interact with wild flying lizards/birds, even if you get within close proximity while having the grounded state necessary to interact with fauna

They are one of the many types of fauna that cannot be interacted with, therefore they cannot be adopted normally

If they are already your companion, then you would be able to interact with them and ride them. They aren't intended fully to be companions, but they have some functionality with being able to be ridden

I experimented. So hatched it with no mods, bird is half size of pic, used restore point to before hatch to get egg back

Know that baby companions are smaller than companions that have lived for about a week or longer

but the number will read the same as baby vs adult

You won't be able to increase their size beyond 1 meter without save editing, which is why trying to modify their size using the egg sequencer will set it back to 1 meter max

I could give you an egg with their size modified to be even larger, but know that it's size will double or so when it reaches true adulthood

As long as you somehow obtain them as companions then you can, but normally you cannot interact or adopt them from the wild.

once they are a companion, they are able to be ridden and everything even without mods

they are not as functional as other companions though, they can't passively exist around you without flying away and despawning
