Read up on them. Study or copy/paste the biome descriptions (like "Scaley, "Shattered", or "Pillared", etc). When you scan planets from Space, just look for one of those biomes on that page. There's around 30 to chose from. They're very numerous.

Yeah you should be able to. There are upgrades specifically for water traversal too

Also it's probably a little out of your depth currently but there is a submarine you can use too. And you just open your quick actions menu (X on PC) and one of the options should be recharge equipment and you have to recharge your hazard protection with either sodium I think or batteries

is good to get all 16 glyphs the first time....or you can goto the nexus anomaly and goto the gateportal there and goto Bizzaro featured base, which is very close to center of galaxy.

to see how many glyphs you have look at catalog near discoveries
