I mean I did the atlas path like a year ago but, from what I can remember, you warp into different systems where you enter the atlas interface and get a recepie for the next star and as you keep warping you basically improve the star and when you get to the end you have a choice to create a new star or remain
but the choice itself is made in the interface so right now i got no fucking idea how on earth you made the choice without ever entering it
