The one thing I wish you could just buy tbh. If you want fast and easy Nav Data, just keep swapping space stations and grab the 2-5 or so on the tables and leave. It'll only take a few mn and it's so easy. @latent moss

@vernal linden yea sure, I'm eating rn but a bit later if you're still on or anything I'd be down to help and explain a bit. For now though, go through the story line about 2hours or so, give or take more or less depending on if you're quick or not. (Also if you read all the story line lol)

It'll give you a basic understanding of the game and definitely helps alot to start learning more.

@latent moss Hmm, that's weird? I never really do it but I don't usually recall getting nanites. I'm not sure. Planets also have the areas you can find with all the little red floating Nav Data to collect, those are pretty simple to find aswell.

It's up to 4 players can be together in a party

Yet you can have alot of people in one place, they just won't all be in the "party" / "group"

You'll see later on when you unlock the Nexus. Just a hour or so into the story. It's a huge hub for players to meet in and has lots of shops to buy things from.

@earnest flume go to 2 or 3 star systems in the Galaxy map and go to the space station. Eventually an exotic will fly in, very rarely. Swapping between different systems and looking for 10mn to upwards of a few hours is just the process of luck with exotics.

The general consensus is to do the basic storyline solo, unfortunately.
Other players can glitch/hinder your progress occasionally.

I read a Reddit post that if you have a friend land on the bridge of a freighter, all you need to do is keep reloading. I don’t know if anyone’s insane enough to try it with me though, not that I expect them to be either.

I just don’t want someone to be sitting around for hours at my expense, but at the same time I want to be able to get this done quicker y’know?

I know it can be done. I’ve gotten many A-classes in a row. But often times I have to reload because I screw up, then I wonder if somehow on that attempt it was an S-class.
