Well, if you mean the portal coordinates for the nearest hub, you can tp there if you have glyphs unlocked (but I guess you haven't) so you either go there the long way, or you play the game and the story mode a bit longer til you have glyphs unlocked

Depends. A dozen hours I'd say. Don't rush it tho, you can build multiple bases so it doesn't really matter

Nice! I did that until I got to the 17th then finished my story and chose the green orb and jumped to 30th. Then I learned about core to core jumping and did that for 9 jumps, now I'm here.

Side tip: to make it a little easier if you portal to 1001:0400:5005 you will always end up near the galaxy center.

Like @patent wharf said, check out the cargo loads on freighters, I also didn't want to pirate but I felt like I wasn't left any other choice to make so I did it and then I got many really quickly .. too bad though you have to resort to smth like that

If you only attack freighters and not the cargo pods, you won't lose standing. Even if you do tho, doesn't really matter, building it up again isn't hard.
