I think I have an orca, but it isn't huge. Also, aquatic animals can't be interacted with except for crabs and the expedition jellyfish, so it's really just for show.

Some cool eels that look like flying worms, squid, mantas and seahorses too. Nocturnal fish are beautiful though! Definitely my favorite.

if you want to get the materials yourself, you would have to build each one because the materials for the next one can only be gotten by the previous one
but if you're intent on just buying/being gifted the materials, go for the last one, it replaces the other two

so go for indium drive, and then you need 250 emeril

If you haven't unlocked portal access yet, you either need to do that, or you need a taxi to that system.

you can also search for other guaranteed events on https://nmsce.com/, just pick Freighter in the tabs, use the "Click [v] to show additional inputs" and in the Tags dropdown, pick "guaranteed event", and then also pick "pirate dreadnought" then click search and find one you like.

if you don't add "pirate dreadnought", just make sure you don't pick a sentinel dreadnought, I believe that the events listed don't give you a capturable freighter

you can make a better fighter (non-corvette) in terms of firepower with the right constellation of supercharged slots, same with a ship with better shields, better hyperdrive, and better pulse engine, compared to corvettes, has been my experience
but then if you yank all those values down to about 90%, you can probably get a corvette that is like that, in all those stats

My corvette has 96k dps infra-knife weapons, 2231 LY hyperdrive, 2585 manoeuvrability and 483 shield strength, and is way more versatile, I got all my storage with me, got a refiner, a nutrition station, mission radar, and it is much easier farming for corvette parts if I ever need to do that again

so you can make a better niche weapon, and you might like the smaller form factor of non-corvettes, but in my mind, corvettes was a gamechanger in more than one way

but as I said above, go to nmsce.com, search for fighters, use the portal system to get to the places where good-looking fighters spawn, buy them and scrap them for their specific parts, and you should be able to get a good-looking fighter

and if you need augmentation units, units, or nanites, to skip the grind to upgrade your ship, corvette or otherwise, this is the channel to ask in 🙂

Phoenix cores come installed already, so they can't be given. The only way you can get one is through save editing. I don't even think the ship comes with one if you get it from the bot, because it acts as another player selling you the ship, which resets the tech. You would have to use their packaged tech delivery service. Both actions require a Patreon subscription in any case. To get special decor you have to invite someone who can build it into your game to do so.

I dont think you can gift it but if you have an extra ship where it comes from you can trade it to an npc and I could buy it. As for the flag you would have to join my group and place it on my freighter/corvette. Up to you though man if you want to go through the effort.

the atlas staff is a reward for the expedition, only way to get it is by doing the expedition or unlocking the expedition rewards

they do something called an expedition redux from time to time, I believe it happens around christmas or new year or something, where they take a bunch of expeditions and give them two weeks or so each, back to back

Mkay. Normally I'd share storage space augments and frigate modules if they've been playing BUT since you're new, I really encourage you to play the game normally. If you see a cave, go into it. The bright flower looking things give you sodium when you refine it in a portable refiner. Sodium will keep you safe from the environment, oxygen keeps your life support high, and carbon will charge your multi tool. Also, once you're able, get some silicone powder. You need the terrain tool though. Are you doing the tutorial?

There's blue crystals, hydrogen. You can use that and ferrite dust (rocks, minerals) to create launch fuel for your ship. Once you get off the planet, shoot asteroids for tritium. That fuels your pulse engine.

Ah. The game should guide you through that. It'll have you run to alien structures to pick it up. You can turn ferrite dust into metal plating, by clicking on an open space in your inventory. It gives you a list of things you can craft.

Units will buy ships, resources, etc. nanites give you upgrades for classes of your stuff (example: upgrading a ship would be like 25k) and you can also use them to buy upgrades for your suit, multi tool, and ship at space stations. You lose the stuff out of your refiners on freighters and dreadnoughts when you move them to different systems I think you lose the items when you leave the freighter as well

I've let refiners refine stuff on my freighter while I was out and about without any issues, but I don't think I ever moved it while it was doing it. Not because I was afraid it might lose the contents, I just don't move the freighter all that much. Also, just because I haven't had any issues with it doesn't mean there are none 🙂

I had a saturday when I refined runaway mould totalling about 600k nanites in the end, I was out doing other stuff whole day, just checked in every 20 minutes or so to fix the refiners.

I lost a lot of runaway mold and nanites moving my freighter happened to me twice so I googled it and that's what Google told me that there's a chance that it happens when you leave the freighter and it definitely happens when you move it

I saw someone on reddit calling that notion stupid, because it would mean there is about a gazillion refiners running all the time, across all players, planets, etc.

I haven't had any issues with the Corvette yet is there a problem with them

But that is "easily solvable", Empyrion solved that when they started the game. When you leave your base or ship, everything unloads, and thus processing stops. When they're loaded back in later, a simple calculation is made to see how much progress it should've made in the interim, and then everything is adjusted accordingly.

I haven't had any, but then I am never far from my corvette, and when I teleport it travels with me. I just won't rule out any issues because apparently the "refiners lose their contents" have been an ongoing and fixed, and returning, and fixed, and so on bug since the game was launched.

So apparently it seems they have something fundamentally broken with refiners, and can't manage to fix it and keep it fixed, so I am weary towards refiners as a whole now.

But no, I have not experienced any issues with refiners on my corvette.

I spent 6-7 hours that saturday refining a few million runaway mould on my freighter, across 20 or so refiners. As far as I remember, I didn't lose anything during those hours, even though I always teleported back out after filling the refiners.

However, at the end, each refiner had 4 runaway mould leftover in the input queue, which I didn't bother removing, and those were gone after a relog later.

Yea it's an amazing game but some of the dumb bugs could be fixed and I wish base building with friends worked like ark when it comes to Base building and using the base when someone's offline

No, that one is a good idea, but in practice by the time you get it, refining stuff is a problem you solve elsewhere. It might be useful if you get stuck somewhere, but then "stuck" when I have a refiner full of materials, and can summon a corvette with the same materials, is not a problem either.

I didn't even need to use it when did my first and only galaxy jump through the core, I could repair all the important stuff with materials I had.

It should be possible to build a shared base, even if I have to manually specify who I'm sharing it with, and then on that base everything is shared, including storage containers. It should also be possible to build many more storage containers in the base and on the freighter. They don't need to have this "shared everywhere" feature though, but I should be able to stuff my base full of spare stuff.

ye personally i agree with you on it thats why i help out other people for the grind and something to do mainly. but i have had so many people that ino come to this game pick it up and delete it over not being able to get ferrite dust or something stupid like that and what i have come to realise. is that no mans sky is such a big game the second you open it it becomes overwhelming for new players and it can be really hard to figure whats going on and what your meant to be doing the only clues you get is the catalogue and log but the game doesnt really tell you to use it there have been so many players that still dont know that they can pin and find resources like quests and they dont even know the feature exists. so getting a single item for us is easy because we know the best and fastest ways but say a person looking for carbon who has never found it before will be a lot more confused in whats going on. so i think for end game yes farming is the thing that keeps you going and makes it all worth it. but say if you just started and your trying to focus on the story aspect because you hate building for some reason and the game is trying to get you to build with all these resources you have never heard or seen before its a lot. lucky they have us really XD

Does anyone need units? I have stasis devices totalling about 3.6b units, but I caution you against accepting any if you're still trying to get to grips with the game, as it might short-circuit parts of the things you should learn to grind for. However, if you still want stasis devices, I got them.
