On dissonant sentinel planets, you can find these tall drill things called “dissonance resonators” all over. They sometimes drop echo locators and you can tell if they do by using your scanner on them.

you need both?

Indium is an upgrade of Emeril, which is an upgrade of Cadmium, you should only need the highest one of those that you can install. And then you'll replace Indium with another upgrade down the line as well. I don't think there are any bonuses to having more than one of them installed at the same time. And the upgrades cover the colors of the previous systems as well, so once you have Indium, it will cover the effect of both Cadmium and Emeril.

Purple systems are a different breed of system. There is a questline that you need to fulfill to access them.;
