Not sure about the fastest, but there are many ways of turning units into nanites...like purchasing materials that you can refine into nanites (such as platinum which can also be made with gold+silver, or pugneum which can be purchased or obtained from sentinels)...or you can purchase emergency beacons for a derilect freighter (starts at 5mil and goes up if you keep buying) and get Tainted Metal to refine into nanites...or you can purchase Suspicious Packets (Arms or Tech) from pirate stations and sell the X class mods they give

Install a Conflict Scanner on your ship (blueprint from Anomaly) and you can see which ones are pirate systems in the galaxy map when you go to warp. There will be a skull icon in the info-box for pirate systems if you do have a conflict scanner installed

If you find any of the slime stuff, you can refine it into Runaway Mould and get nanites, but it takes long enough that some people ignore it as an option

@pseudo ore happy to give you a worm egg, just know that it will be a worm from the flying snake creature ID, not sandworm (both IDs contain the same models aside from the bone worm) however the sandworm ID can’t be interacted with.

Additionally, high flyers like worms and birds cannot be tamed, you can get a mod like the companion pet unlocker to allow them to be tamed or alternatively you can use a save editor or trade for them.

Once you have them as a pet regardless of if you have a mod you can interact with that pet.

Once you find someone to trade with exchange friend code and join each other.

Some items can’t be traded but most items can.

You can not trade ships between players, but players can help and upload coordinates for special ships they find - so that you may try and find it yourself via a portal

The only Ship trading available is where you trade the physical model of a ship, all other attributes like stats, slots, class and installed tech will reroll and be subject to any normal proc gen.

When we talk about ship trading we only mean the physical model.

Fabricated ships and corvettes cannot be traded.

Additionally as @mint pawn said players can share system glyphs and depending on site lat/long coordinates are required, this is primarily how the community shares their discoveries.

If the goal from the beginning is for the model then yes this would be how you trade a ship.

But for a ship at S class with applied X class modules it just doesn’t work that way.
