Although living ships are unbeaten in one way for certain. Their engine burn color isnt purple and I wish that you could change other ships to be like that. I never understood why you can change freighters engine burn, but you can only change starship trails. I cant be the only one who's thought this

I experienced the same essentially, although much different kind of planet. It has a similar effect but makes everything black and red. Very horror esque, superheated blood storms, abyssal titan worms. Strangely enough the colors come back during the blood storms. There are titanic mountains covered in redwood size mushrooms, and brutal lightning storms that only happen on top of the mountains. Planet listed as a planetary anomaly.

I made it my home, built my fortress there atop a mountain overlooking a deep valley where I built a settlement. Named the planet Omen-Hold, and the base The Black Spire. A friend and I wrote pages of lore and backstory for the planet, the base, and our characters. Even themed my ships, dreadnought, and fleet after it. The system is named Crimson Trace as well

Oh hey, fair warning. Building underground/on ground that you've manipulated can be risky, theres a good chance that the landscape will revert to its previous state, and fill your base up with dirt. And if youre really unlucky you could load in and be buried alive

Actually even simpler, he'd get an exchange screen at the anomaly. All youd have to do is send him the service bot friend code, and change your code listed in the service bot at the top of the screen to his friend code. Easy peasy

Its pretty intuitive. I use the expensive paid version, I really enjoy making my badass sentinel ships 🙂 so I've got plenty experience.
