@fiery scarab and @burnt bolt Just keep in mind the game didn’t release with MP, doing any sort of quests that aren’t specifically designed for multiplayer can cause those quests to break, this includes but not limited to the Artemis path.

Don’t let it stop you from playing with other players but just be mindful that it can be the main cause of quests breaking and seeming as if they cannot be completed.

If you encounter and issue with a quest first thing to do is turn off multiplayer and leave the MP group you are in, then save and reload or restart your game, the mission should fix itself, in some occasions you may need to restart the mission in your log, if fixed play the part of the mission that broke then reconnect if you want.

Generally it is better to save quests for solo play.

there's actually 3 different methods. Either fight through waves of corrupted sentinels on dissonant planet, fight through waves of sentinel ships in space, or grab an echo locator, go to the camp, and use computer to locate spike.
The last one is the safest method that doesn't involve lot of combat

you can also just explore around a dissonant planet till you find a camp, or use signal booster / ship scanner to locate buildings

My general advice though, in NMS if not playing perma death, just go with what looks good to you. Stats only matter marginally

but that would take a lot of time finding rly rare X upgrades

that are good in all categories. also you would spend a fortune buying slots

you could always use the money to buy new ships if theyre B class and above, then scrap and sell the upgrade modules you get

you dont loose a lot of money doing that and by selling upgrade modules you get a good amount of nanites

just aim to only buy then scrap ships that are A or S class, only do B class if you can find nothing else

You are not going to get 18 million scrapping it

18mil should get a decent starter ship in any category, except maybe Hauler. You need to start with what kind of ship do you see yourself flying. A sleek hotrod? A battered military killer? A science-y explorer with clean lines? A quick little snitch? A boat with a ton of cargo room? Do you want to ride next to a pulsing spleen? Figure out what you want, then start there and start upgrading.
