Yes and no, ship trading is tedious now sometimes won’t work and sometimes will work in terms of if the player is actually able to see the traded ship or even interact with it.

Ships like the utopia speeder and golden vector will still work and the player can receive this from another.

However any other normal ship gets it’s seed changed to that of another ship in the system you do the trade in, meaning it does not work on other ships.

The method to give a player “a” ship works (sorta) but it will not be the same one you originally had, as stated in my original comment the seed will change to that of the same type of ship in the system you do the trade in.

So you can trade a “living ship” but you cannot trade the specific design you want from someone else

Though I tend to find it faster to jump to pirate systems and buy their suspicious packets and then sell the mods that you get from those, assuming you have the units to spend on it.

From my understanding, they do not, but I'm not certain. It should be noted that the translator doesn't teach you new words, it just translates a random unknown word in the conversation you are having with an NPC at that time. The word is not permenantly unlocked.

Ah, dihydrogen is everywhere, for carbon get the red crystals ideally and just collect everything you can

Condensed carbon is a lot more powerful and it comes in those red crystals

If you truly end up getting bored out of your mind then I recommend maybe using a save editor to help yourself out, if you are on pc or ps4, I dont believe it works on xbox

Based on your issues I assume you are like early game

I'd say, go back to your starter planet, or if you are still on it you are all good, there is guaranteed dihydrogen on almost every planet usually so you can get it easily, you can get carbon from trees on basically every planet too, there are these plants that are relatively small and look like tiny trees that give you like 50-60 carbon per one and since they are small they come in clusters

I can get you that, but I can't hop on for another 20 minutes. There is also a coordinate exchange reddit where you can lookup locations of S-class ships (disable your multiplayer before going there), sentinel ships are easy to get without credits if you don't mind a little bit of battle

Keep in mind when trading ships the class of that ship will reroll so you aren’t guaranteed a S class, only if the ship itself is a living ship or exotic they will always be S.

Ship trading is also broken atm, so a player may advertise they are giving a certain looking ship, but that ship when traded will not be traded with the same look, unless that ship is the golden vector, utopia speeder or switch ship.

You both have to go into options then settings then network then on the right side of your screen you should see view no man sky friend list or something about nms friends. Click on that and at the bottom you should see the option to add a friend code. Make sure you both do this. Or one just add them in the main menu by clicking multiplayer and at the bottom you should see add friend code.

And you can only join the other person from the main menu

Depends on your difficulty. On normal, some activated indium extractors are enough. Stricter inventory difficulties are a lot more complicated for renewable money
