I like enjoying the full experience rather than skipping. That's just me. The only thing I save edited is expeditions because I used to work 12 hour shifts all the time and couldn't play enough No Mans Sky. And right now I can hardly play due to my medical conditions. I did do the first 3 expeditions though so I at least was able to get the experience.

It's a Planetary Chart that shows distress signals/emergencies...can't remember the description exactly.
Get it, hop in your ship and hop out so you get a auto save, scan while in the space station and reload the auto save till it locates the crashed ship, then head off to it

This way you only have to buy 1 of the maps
