They're really not. I've tried everything, warping in and out with them in different inventories, reloading saves, moving them, and triggering events such as quests with my settlement. I think that whatever happened to must've been fixed or the fact that you somehow got an egg you couldn't have had due to the number of companion slots you had confused the game

I am indeed lol. Also just a disclaimer I was just able to pull off the corrupt egg glitch. Turns out multi-player is the key. I might be able to backup a save using PS+ though and then re-download it after returning the egg. We can test it out with a non-worm egg first if you want.

Further, players in Odyalutai using the same coordinates show up in your system, demonstrating it's more of a glitch in the game than a true place; after saving and reloading, you will be shown in Odyalutai, and unable to see the Yilsrussimil name henceforth without using the save editor again. So, galaxy 257 does not exist; if it's anything, it's a display artifact when using the save editor.

What about negative numbered galaxies?

No Man's Sky can generate galaxy names for any number you put into the save file (outside the range 0-255), but you will be in Odyalutai (galaxy 255).

There are approximately 4.27 billion regions per galaxy (4095x4095x255), with regions possibly having as few as 122 star systems and as many as 600+.

Lol.. I think you'll have a hard time to find someone fitting all of those criteria. Duping is pretty much accepted in NMS. I don't dupe or mod my save. But I most definetly have traded with people who have or did.

I used to be really against duping too. Nowadays I realised it's just not worth getting worked up about it, it's not going away and not worth my annoyance

That's fair, I didn't mind taking like a 4 days building a base/farm. It was worth it. I don't think this game is hard at all tbh. At the very start yea sure. But once you get some protection modules, you can pretty much chillax

I've yet to dabble with the freighter overhauled stuff. My base was all messed up and then it put me in 5 spaces worth of hallway in Middle of my freighter base and I couldn't build. Was stuck in my own freighter

Needless to say, my mood to check out freighter stuff after update lessenend 😂

Yea that's what I did after I joined someone in MP. But I kinda wanted to manually salvage my base.. especially 10k of nearly every F-ing plant I was growing.
