Nice fish. Well seasoned. Sauce looks great, thinner dice on the onions and they will melt in and naturally thicken and flavour it, add spring onions to serve for a fantastic texture.

Well, basicaly. I guess. Its more of a baguette, a roll if you want to be precise. Its not as if i bought the roll in the supermarket, i baked it myself. I just love these rolls baked with cheese and bacon, but they are overpriced at shops so i made my own. I made 14 of them in one go, it was cheaper, plus i didnt have to interact with people at the supermarket.
I am wholey convinced that meat, carbs, and ofttimes cheese.. is a combination more robust than peanut butter and chocolate

In my oppinion, it tastes better, and science says its healthier. Thats a 2:0 for ham+cheese+bread for me.

American english has names for damned near everything. The headache I had importing peppers from Türkiye cause they all use the same name so had to line up with the regional dish they knew of..... so annoying
and we have like names for every variatal of squash where even in much of the EU, it is Squash/Pumpkin and you have to describe the style
Take some garlic, slice it lenthwise in half, take out the green if any. In a pan, pour enough oil to come up halfway on those slices. Throw on a low-mid heat. When start to get golden flip them, when that side gets that colour, flip again give about a minute, flip a minute. Then remove garlic. Cook chicken in that oil. Remove chicken, use that pan to whip up a sauce with that garlic oil, serve with the faux roasted garlic slices

I made this for my mom’s birthday
It was supposed to be a chocolate cheesecake but I messed up the final step
I poured the black dough into the cheesecake dough which is why it ended up as a solid dough
It tasted good regardless but not nearly as good as a perfect chocolate cheesecake
Well maybe I can make it work out better next time

How many times have you tried to make over easy eggs only to break the yolk when you flip it? For the person who loves that jiggly, runny yolk, it's enough to send you to your knees in a heap. San Marzano tomatoes are a specific strain grown in specific soil type, then peeled and canned. The closest to them are a strain grown in a greenhouse in New Jersey of all places

if you take the strain and grow it in your yard, they aren't gonna taste like or break down when cooking like San Marzano tomatoes

I've grown the strain, if anything Id wager growing conditions for things like tomatoes is superior here than most places in the world, perhaps even their original home.

There have been tons of blind taste tests. It took like 20yrs of experimentation to get close to matching San Marzanos, and that is in a place in New Jersey and still not a match but close. They still aren't positive as to why a straight replication of the soil doesn't work, it probably like that kinda noodle they have in a specific area of China where it a result of unique attributes of the water in the area

Cucumbers, dill, kosher/fries salt alum with garlic cloves onion (white), lime and Chile.
They might pickle about a month, but if the cucumbers lose their taste it just seems bitter to me.
Obviously just regular vinegar for everything 🧐 if you're wondering

I have never been to NY personally but I imagine it would just be going to local places
Yeah basically Dominos and Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are all basically the fast food version of "standard" style pizza (also called Buffalonian style to the old timers in the industry), and they aren't good
if you want top notch pizza in NY or NYC can lead you to some places, but depends on style you want
i’ve been pretty successful in finding really good NY style pizza without even searching too hard in the past.
With their style, i think it’s important to do 1 topping, 2 at most. The best is when you get one slice instead of a whole pizza and they put the slice back in the oven and if gets real crispy
the best NY style pizza I've had was in Brewster at this shop that does interesting styles, including an amazing chicken marsala slice
the best though in NYC is probably Scar
