Low Sentinel Activity means that there aren't sentinel patrols
unless you're on survival, in which even low has sentinel patrols because it's not intended to appear

how does cycles work on extractors? cus i have over 144 extractors with an hourly rate of 2978 but every five minutes it only produces 250?

Max % deposit density depends on deposit class. It does not mater much it only affects amount of extractors needed to reach 1k extraction

Basically every cluster of connected extractors have heavy diminishing returns once they hit an combined income rate of 1000u/HR, you'd have to construct multiple clusters of silos/extractors to maximise extraction (can all be on the exact same hotspot)
ok so get it as close to 1k/h extract rate per system of gold would mean 353000 per cell ar an aveage of 85 cells puts me at an hourly theoretical max of 30 million and daily theoretical max or 720 million
realistic 360 million a day at 85 cells

Note that you cannot change your freighter's class, if you want a higher class freighter you have to exchange your current one

"Paradise Planet/Moon" is a biome name override applied to all lush worlds that have both No Storms and Low Sentinel Activity, as well as aren't the infested/ruined subbiomes
if it has storms with this, then the descriptor is being applied wrong which is a bug

you probably read it wrong, or conflated "paradise planet" with lush worlds in general, or it displays correct in one place but incorrect in another
I've definitely seen differences recently between the descriptor seen from space and when on the planet. Perhaps something has messed them up a bit?

well moreso your second or third probably
The base building tutorial has scripted storms to motivate you to build a base. These occur regardless of the planet's storm presence (if it lacks storms or not)
These don't keep happening after this point though
Also: Planets in your starting system are overridden to be safer. If they have Aggressive Sentinels or Extreme Storms, they are overridden to have Low Sentinel Activity or No Storms permanently for that save only.
This system has a bug where the "true" details of the planet show up in some places, but in others you see the details pertaining to your save (the safer ones)

You're meant to use the Gravitino Coil multi-tool technology to carry these and load them into a Colossus with the flatbed, then drive them to a processing plant

The exocraft that's a huge truck. Research it's Geobay at the Construction Research Station aboard the space Anomaly on page 4, then build it to summon the vehicle
You may also want to research the Exocraft Radar at Iteration: Perses, this is required to locate Processing Plants and Waste Heaps using the quick menu while piloting the vehicle
is finding a planet with two robot animals mildly rare? i found a video from 2ys ago sayings its rare, idk about now
10% of worlds in uncharted systems have them, they aren't rare if you know what to look for
95% of red star systems are uncharted, so that's something easy to look in and find them
No. The robot antelopes always come in pairs. And often time the building fauna do too
Worlds with them have 3-4 fauna species, including 2 robot antelopes and 1-2 walking buildings
one of them was those tall buildings and i think one or two antelopes
the planet's fauna reading displays "Synthetic", which can be useful when using the Scanner Room aboard your freighter

The tutorial for the Gravitino Coil/waste hauling makes you throw in one piece of scrap, which gives you the Flatbed Module to equip on your colossus at a Colossus Geobay for free

Cannot be piloted whatsoever, can only be warped around/summoned
Summoning via the quick menu can be done from infinite distances for free
Note that your freighter is restricted in what star colors it can normally reach, similar to starships. Technology blueprint can be unlocked and installed that remove these restrictions

You can purchase upgrade modules from the tech merchant aboard space stations, and technology blueprints can be purchased from Iteration: Perses aboard the Space Anomaly
Can I find curious deposits on any planets or only on specific planets?
You can install up to three upgrade modules per type, plus as much technology blueprints as you can fit. S-Class upgrade modules are ideal but not all space stations sell them, they're not rare though, just expensive
It's only on 1/3 of all planets/moons
this is not tied to any features of the planet (biome, sentinels etc)

Pretty much. Planets that have Metal "Fingers" or Sac Venom do not have Curious Deposits, so if you see either of those then move on

Ideally the planet would be an extreme irradiated one, as radioactive storms increase mining beam yeilds significantly, but this optimization definitely isn't necessary and can be overkill if you're not mining up 2 inventories of mold to use at 90 refiners
does anyone know how to get Aeron Corvette parts? I wasn't playing when they ran the expedition. I have no idea how to chat with people in the anomaly area (I'm on PS5) and just started playing this month...but 160 hours in.
At best, someone could give you the parts and you could make more of them yourself using those

I think you can improve the hazard protection stuff by putting the B/C/X class modules on the inside, surrounded by the modules that need to be charged. The aim is to get the ones with numbers the best adjacency bonuses, which the charged ones provide but don't benefit from
The translators don't teach you words, and A+S will translate the max number of words per conversation (they can translate words you already know), plus the artemis translator has not done anything since the single mission it is used for

feel free to elaborate on what you mean by unique - what i mean is, well, regardless of galaxy, game is still using the same algos for proc generating like fauna or ships. tbh, there isn't really a specific way to find these things we can consider amazing, unique, other than to basically bruteforce it. goto every system, visit and explore a bit on every planet, etc. sure, there are some rules and exceptions: for example, robo fauna cant spawn in inhabited or abandoned systems, only in uncharted. anomalous flyers only in purple star systems. more fighter designs in vykeen systems. etc etc
By unique I mean like anything but the same fighter starships and same cat/dog fauna lol
Cause Iâve seen pictures of dinosaur and rodent looking ones before and other starships but I canât figure out where to find any of that no matter how far I go

You need to interact with the terminal near the pillar
(not sure if you need to destroy the 3 towers surrounding it the first time you use that terminal)

My frigate Thunderbird's landing platform is getting stuck inside the model bug

The pillar are findable either by using sentinel map (which drops off sentinels) or go to a non-dissonant world, kill sentinels until wave 5, after that it will automatically reveal the location of a pillar

If you have units, I would hop outlaw stations, buy up all the suspicious tech and weapon packages (and goods if you want to lessen the unit cost), open them all up and sell the x ranked techs for nanites. 35k shouldn't take too long

You can farm freighters any time they spawn. !faq-freighter in #nms-commands gives you the way to do it. Note you can only have 1 freighter at a time

Hi. How do I clear a 'set waypoint'? I am in my list of 'visited systems', and I set a waypoint on a system, ex ABC. But I don't want to go there now, I want to clear the 'waypoint'. LongPress to re-set does not clear... and you can have multiple waypoints set on systems.. so I'm confused. Thanks.
both are synonyms for the lush biome, paradise will outright confirm that it doesn't have storms

via galaxy map, set a waypoint to a system you want to get to, or one really nearby - then warp to it. it will clear the marker off the other system
sentinel presence is basically shown as <none>/high sec/dissonance detected/aggressive
<none> = low, rare to see them spawning out in the wild near us
high sec isn't a big deal tbh, they're not aggressive by default still. that said, if planet has at least 1 sentinel pillar, you could locate one, and shutdown sentinels on the planet whenever you need to. the shutdown state persists till next reload/restart or leaving system

@desert escarp locating sentinel pillar can be done via sentinel boundary chart, or defeating wanted level 5 on that planet

- Suspicious packet (Goods) (possible drop from destroyed enemy ships, available from outlaw station contraband agent npc)

- Mercenary Guild Envoys

that's odd yeah, shouldnt let you have 2 waypointed systems at the same time. when you waypointed via galaxy map itself, did you double check discoveries to see if it also marked the system there? it used to at least
Has anyone had this issue before? when i craft a corvette the camera sometimes becomes offset like this, where the ship is no longer in the centre of the screen but slightly to the left.

I've never moved one that was full, but my thought is that it should stay planted. If it doesn't, though, the plant materials will be returned to you

Hey, I encountered something a couple of times last week. I took off from a world to go to where I left my freighter, and found a duplicate, cockeyed to mine. I entered the hangar, and as soon as I left my ship, the camera tilted and I was now floating a bit off the floor. I flew around to explore to suddenly find myself OUTSIDE the hangar, with no way to get back in! I reloaded the 1st time and was back at my last save. The duplicate was still there but I didn't go in the 2nd time. The other instance, a total repeat of the 1st, except now when I reloaded, I was still in space outside the duplicate ship. I would have died had I not been able to summon my corvette.
Anyone else experience this, or know if the Devs are aware?
That's a bug that's been going around lately. I believe people said that reloading restore point or warping back in can fix it

Names are all procedurally generated, with the exception of the blueprints from the Anomaly. Get the ones that boost the stats you want, add all of the anomaly blueprints

interesting. they dont seem to give many benefits compared to s class modules

You get the hyperdrive at the end of the mission Awakenings, which is the first of 9 story missions
You are unlikely to run into other players outside of the Anomaly, which you have not reached yet
The universe is big. Most people have a hard time grasping how big
well the stats say most people are in euclid, but since such a small portion is mapped out, your better off going to a player hotspot or the anomaly rahter than looking for people randomly, which is likely to never happen

it can boost your stats by quite a bit yes, but game isnt balanced around optimal or ideal supercharged slot layouts; all work, all can be made to work

sure. here's a few examples i pulled from the game. on a multitool, and since we can easily switch between active tools, players often tend to try and get SC layouts with adjacent slots, so that they can use them for the same system, and not have to break adjacency bonuses. for example, the top two would be really nice for that (damage dealer?), while the bottom two would suit themselves better to 1-per-system, or iow a more balanced, all around tool (e.g. scanning+mining?)

Iâve been trying to visit more galaxies, went through Euclide and Hillbert just fine visiting space stations to âsave my spotâ basically while I went collecting resources and stuff on bases in other galaxies and suddenly for Calypso and Hesperis, the stations donât show anymore?
I visit them, teleport somewhere else and when I try to go back it only shows Eissentam, Euclide and Hillbert space stations
knowing that number of supercharged slots is set by class (C1 B2 A3 S4), so:
- lower class ships i.e. c-class: might not be worth upgrading all the way, just to see how the sc layout is going to be, unless you've got a good feeling about it and the first sc slot isn't on the edge of the grid
- i'd probably go for the last one, because on ships, i like having 2 sc adjacent (e.g. for hyperdrive, weapons, pulse engine) and 2 spread apart.

depends on what you're supercharging, and what gear you're dealing with, but in general, for weapons, that's what you do. then there's some specific scenarios: e.g. using a sentinel ship, you'll notice you'll get a lot more out of supercharging crimson core first then a module if you'd like, but this relation of hyperdrive base tech with sc slots doesn't hold on non sentinel ships

If you mean your own starships, no. For your squadron, you can upgrade those on the freighter.

But tl;dr curious deposits are fluffy orbs that spawn on certain planets. You shoot them and get runaway mould, which you can refine into nanites with high efficiency
Gold and silver mines can be automated, but platinum is a poor way to earn nanites compared to some others

you really don't, just build a base near a curious deposit
mine the curious deposit, then teleport back and forth between the base and some other teleporter to make the deposit respawn
do that a few times and you probably make 10k nanites worth of mould easily

yeah, so if you land on a planet and the 3* resource isn't the curious deposit then look for another planet
If the planet has one of the first 2 types, go to another planet and look again. Repeat until you find one. Build a base there and build basic walls around the deposits, but NOT under them, then shoot and collect the mold, fly to space, fly back and land and do it again. Refine as you get enough for nanites

I just beat my first dreadnought and itâs letting me claim it for free to replace my current freighter. It is an improvement but itâs only B class. If I claim it will I have to pay for future dreadnoughts as improvements or are they always free

Getting NMS Crash dump files
- Press&Hold Windows key+Press R, in the Run window that appears, type
%localappdata%, press Enter. - Open the
Tempsubfolder; - Relevant crash dump filenames will start with
NMS_crash, for exampleNMS_crash_1771955407_161480_0x846ED-HANG_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.dmp; - Drag and drop the latest crash dump in the #964865106334875698 thread: be patient till someone is available to take a look.
Notes:
- While waiting, uninstall anything like OBS, Overwolf, Twitch Studio, Medal, Riva Tuner, etc. All are known to cause crashes in NMS when not completely up to date. Additionally, ensure your graphics drivers are completely up to date. Integrated graphics as well if on a laptop.
- If you didn't find a
Tempfolder inside%localappdata%, try%appdata%instead. - You can also use Windows Search to find files with the
dmpextension.

Locating a Portal
- Obtain the race relic item to give to a Monolith, [see this post](#nms-questions message);

You have to have the glyphs unlocked before you can use it

No, but completing the story will award all of the glyphs
You can just buy race relics from landed pilots at trade outposts and freighters
You will specifically need a Gek Relic, Korvax Casing or Vy'keen Dagger depending on local dominant race

Know that it doesn't determine anything, higher percentage is meaningless if both are lush worlds that lack storms

My most perfect planet currently is a swamp, due to those technically being a subbiome of lush

The "most hostile" one is this same stat but reversed, in which worlds with extreme storms and aggressive sentinels are most favored
