I can confidently say now that while Funcom's Dune Awakening is okay for a game, its performance issues coupled with rendering glitches seemingly entirely detached from server lag convince me it's not worth $80. This game would be criticized heavily even at $60.
If these issues did not exist, it would be worth $80 for the sheer amount of content under the hood.
As it stands, the game feels like the late stages of an early access.
It's not a bad game but where it fails, it fails repeatedly.
Animations from NPC can be lagged and that's on a low pop server. You can feel when the latency is kicking in and it feels like it's happening as NPC are spawning in.
If you love Dune though, you'll love this game I think
It's chalk full of dune lore and that's not even the main plot
The game is set in an alternate Dune universe where atreides or whoever his name was...was not born
So while the game's plot isn't wholely canon, I suspect if it does well, it will just be treated like a spin off of the same universe that may lead to it becoming canon.

U basicaly do the same thing as in elden ring but with time pressure and fortnite ring.
Game has issues with party joining. Playing solo with randoms gets boring fast imo.
Me on ps4 and my friend on ps5 could not join party no mather what we tried.
