The loot is cool but without killing thousands and thousands of enemies, there's no easy way to farm all the sets, and yes I know it's an mmo, but compare it to Legion's prepatch, where the fel sets were raining down on you. Just a little disappointed.

Device Upgrades are limited, you get every few levels until you hit the level cap of 30 - however, you can reset and reallocate them at your leisure, I can't remember what resource it costs to reset but it's very cheap by the time you get to mid-late game
Mainframe Expansions I'm not 100% sure since I haven't found them all, I don't think you can max everything but you can adjust their allocation anytime at no cost

Fdev just seems to miss the pulse of the fans even more consistently than Bungie/343
A shame, because the space sim and sound design of E:D beats just about everything else available

E:D gets some of the sim, flight and life, but none of if is done extremely well.
SC people have a justifyable bad taste on but that does the spacelife/SIM extremely well, but its a shit product atm

Its fantastic indeed, but the skill gap between players is there. I remember one time I was playing as medic and I had 2 androids come to me and ask to replace their CPUs. I didnt know how to do that so one of them basically directed me step by step on what to do to his friend and it all worked.
It felt like a mission in a game with NPCs except those were real people
Or there was another match and I was chosen by random to be head of medical. And lo and behold there is a space station revolution and I am one of the 4 primary targets. It was like my 5th match so all I did was hide in my office closing the blinds with a syringe gun trying to hide and defend myself.
Except I was found easily, tased and then thrown out of the airlock. What a game

Yeah, someone recently(ish) released a patch that finally makes high FPS gameplay possible.
CD Projekt really botched the PC port.

The novelty wears off and you're left in a big world with no compelling reason to explore it.
The mystery of what's going on is kept in the dark and you're instead dragged along from one side mission to help a settlement to another.
Even the main story missions that involve defeating significant enemies requires you to grind out explorable areas and find certain things like chests and activate devices.
Like Far Cry Online
...and it gets old
They have community events like beating world bosses, but the game lags so much during them it's almost not worth trying.
and the lag is virtually inexcusable, since the fights rarely have more than a dozen people

As it stands, devs can barely keep the game interesting through entire phases. Their capacity to reinvigorate players between seasons is going to be seriously in question.

They are supposed to. The animation is a 2 player animation that can trigger the players in the wrong spots if they aren't standing right next to each other.
