if you stick to 1080p, mid/high graphics, i think you should be fine with most games. the lower mem bandwidth will hurt on higher graphics settings, but remember that you'll have a DLSS capable card

Starfields runs on a 2600x in some cases. Its the gpu, ram and such you need to worry about and anything 5700 and ups golden.

Unless you plan 1440p

I have too many games to play as is. But I'm concerned with how much has been kept secret on Starfield. Even their website was limiting. More info dropped in the last 24 hours. I've seen a dozen videos. It still feels like a hybrid knock off to me of NMS vs Mass Effect vs Skyrim. Like it's been done before.
But it's the first to kinda combine elements of other games together and flesh the systems out more I guess.

It could be dog poop on launch. Or it could be great.

I'm concerned about the combat too. Because I'm not really a shooter person. I tolerate fallout with lots of deaths, and Tom Clancy barely, but I royally suck at them

I'm playing baldur gate 1 enhanced edition a little bit in leftover spare time. I like to play games in order of release. It just took me a long time to get to, because I had a rage quit moment from the origonal game a very long time ago. I remember just starting on my journey leaving the first town, and dying in the forest almost immediatly which made me lose my save and have to start over. The game is entirely different than rpg's I'm used to. I have to think differently in it.
