Like Doom is another example
I loved Doom 2016. That was exactly the kind of thing I want out of a Doom game, but could be a bit scarier like Doom 3.
Doom Eternal on the other hand, deviated and got too arcadey. The story was neat but otherwise it was a one and done.

Admittedly I "upgraded" from a 2060 dual to a 3070 dual for one reason.

I had problems with DYNDOLOD and XLODGEN with only 6GB VRAM.

For skyrim. The 2 extra GB's made a huge difference playing on high settings.
