It’s weird because it’s the “real world outside the simulation” but not the one mentioned in the game itself as the “real world”. As if they’re two different realities. So I’ve always assumed it goes (least to greatest)

what the gek story reminded me of was ... a part of Nivens "Ringworld" universe. that has a ferocious/mad warrior race (Kzin). and some slightly more advanced race of cowards (Puppeteers) manipulates them into going to war with the humans. again. and again. and again. to basicly make the "aggro genes" into a evolutionary bad choice, because the kzin that go to war end up mostly dead, so not passing on their genes.

And never go in reachable distance again

Ok idea for update. A war on the atlas. Travelers are starting to fear the impending doom on the simulation. The abyss and the sentinels have been harassed by the atlas for far too long. Travelers will band together with the abyss and the sentinels, while the atlas creates forces of its own. Players will have the choice to choose a side, and participate in battle areas with one another. The battle would happen across multiple systems that hg chooses. The outcome of the battle will effect the rest of the game as we know it. This is just a fun idea I had for the game :p

Where as the egg you get given on your expedition save is the one that can be edited, I really want a blue one lol

Oh also if you call your quad pet out in the anomaly it freezes other player characters, like kina desyncs you from the game! Buggy as hell

And carrying on with your question in the previous channel, Sentinels were created as guardians of the Atlas, the creator of the simulation, but once Travellers appeared, they became more hostile and attacked anything classed as anomalous, although the Vykeen are fighting the Sentinels and quite friendly towards Travellers

Well they no longer work for the atlas. Ever since the fall of korvax prime (or rise if you look at it look that way) they have attacked all travelers damaging planets as it reminds them of the fall of korvax prime (which could imply the travelers has something to do with it)

in fact if you wanna get technical, theres also the ARG side of the lore that explicitly says the dreamers/"anomalies" are of human origin. and then the dreamers became intersected into the travellers in the NEXT update

so there is actually more evidence backing them being closer to humanity than not

but thats with the dreamers/anomalies of the travellers, not with the general traveller race specifically

so ig you could consider travellers to be based on human origin though alienified/procedurally generated away from the creator. and then the anomalies being probably completely human under their suits

Question, as I'm still a fair bit away from it but I wanna plan forward, how does the restart exactly happen? Only the starter galaxy is restarted or others too? What exactly is lost and what is kept exactly?

The starter quest was artemis path right?

The only restart quest line I'm familiar with is that of (restarting the simulation) which only takes you to a new galaxy.

All that really does though is takes you to 1 of 4 galaxies you choose from. And you load in like starting a new game but your really not starting a new game.

It will be kept intact

Just build a base computer in the new galaxy and you can easily return to it to explore whenever you wish

There's like 256 galaxies that you can access in game
