I would not mind abandoned mode if I could do all the things I can do in normal mode without NPCs...except settlements as settlements without any NPCs are player bases and settlements are worse than worthless anyway.
oh yea I forgot no settlements thats my fault I'm not a fan of them to begin with lmao
So there's just no settlements & creating staves
But... to do all those things requires npcs and the whole point of abandoned mode is there arent any
And no freighters, frigates, and Atlantid MTs either.
I'm pretty sure we can get Atlantid mts and corvettes replace freighters really as a portable base I didn't list it because we already covered it
I'm sure they can make other things happen...alternate ways to gain access to staff crafting and Atlantid MTs, find derelict freighters that are whole and you can fix them up...maybe craft a robot pilot for it or something...let us access living frigates for them, etc.
If void motes can be acquired from harmonic camp wheelbarrows, then staffs are accessible. Purple systems are already unlocked, I would be rather surprised if atlantid multitools are somehow still locked. Plus, if you can get atlantid multitools, thats an alternate source of void motes
No, because you can never reveal the terminals that sell staff parts and where they are crafted at.
I... would have to see whether or not thats the case
It goes back to its in the name abandoned mode they don't teach you the tech but there's still 3 exp staves
Still havent started an abandoned mode run, but Tylor mentioned that the sentinel hardframe modules are available in the upgrade terminal
They normally arent
But if that is the case, you got me there
how the heck do u find the camps with autophages that give u missions for motes? I cannot remember at all
It IS the case...you need special tech for your multitool to be able to reveal autophage camps, where those terminals are at...you can't obtain that tech in abandoned mode. It is a tech given by the autophage quest and your abandoned mode terminals don't have it.
do harmonic camps not have a terminal in abandoned mode
I dont think their terminal gives access to the autophage shop
You can't have staff parts sold by autophage terminals.
Theres a multitool tech that you can charge and activate to mark the location of an autophage camp, and then theres a scanner add on that gets used to reveal them
ahhh thats it thanks
I briefly remember that, you get slammed with so much new stuff that you sometimes forget
Does the scanner only work on certain planet types?
It would reveal any camp in an inhabited or abandoned system, but the latter wont have any autophages
It only works if the planet has autophage camps...or at least the solar system...won't work in uncharted systems...possibly abandoned systems too, but not sure.
so you have to use it in ___ systems?
I learned which POIs can have them, so I have revealed an autophage camp in an abandoned system before
Huh?
Populated systems...where there are NPCs....either civilized or outlaw.
Exotics can be weird about stuff like that
Ive seen some exotics that have buildings with npcs in them, but others seem all abandoned
At the camp? Or in the system?
I redeemed and built the hard frame besides the chest in abandoned before I died yea
Now I'm just on regular survival but all options maxed lol
I guess autophage didn't leave then...possible oversight by HG but could be intentional too...could go either way. The system is abandoned s far as everyone else knows.
No, they did
There arent any autophage in the camps in abandoned systems
Ah, alright. Makes sense.
I don't think that thing for the Atlantid MT will pop up in abandoned because isn't that tied to a tech you get from a quest?
Was in a Korvax system on a dissonant planet getting a sentinel ship and that thing beside the monolith isn't glowing nor does it come up.
However each harmonic camp ive been in all had a sentinel multitool which is just fine when you are desperate for weapon damage already.
So what is happening
you tell me 🙂
Bro they weren’t lying when they said it was bigger and better than starfield
Why is all my stuff destroyed
Where is my ship
that is a side effect of the hop
Oh come on 😢
you can at this point summon in a second ship if you have one
you can also call in your freighter if you have one, and grab repair kits from there
I only have a hauler that has nothing except launch pulse and hyperdrive
My primary is my poor exotic s class 😔 I spent so much time on modules for it
next time if you pass through the galaxy core, you will know to switch to a secondary junker ship and crap mt, and package up suit modules you don't need
every player goes through this rite of passage
Oh
anyways make a base, so you have one in the new galaxy, before doing anything else
Let’s go to the general so we don’t fill this with random stuff
sure
I've discovered in abandoned mode no storms until you leave your first system
I've been corvette part hunting for some time now
Got the corvette inventory under 100
There are 255 galaxies
There is a secret 256th galaxy too right?
Ehhh..kinda. There is a 256th galaxy that you can only access if you join other players but it is buggy...some things don't work right in that galaxy. If you park your freighter in it when you reload the game it will be at the same location...in Euclid galaxy. If you save on the anomaly and teleport somewhere and back or close the game and reload, when you exit the Anomaly you'll be at that location in Euclid. Also it's a normal galaxy...balanced like 70% off the galaxies in the game...so there are some 178 galaxies balanced just like it that work right without major bugs. And most of those are less populated and more "secret" just by virtue of nobody actively seeking them out or talking about them and trying to get in.
Okay
Yay . Another galaxy jumper 🥳

How many galaxies are there in No Man's Sky?
There are 256 galaxies in No Man's Sky.
Euclid is labeled as Galaxy #0 in game files, but often referred to as Galaxy #1 by the community.
Odyalutai is #255 in game files, referred to as #256 by the community.
Players may only access galaxy 255 (Odyalutai) if they join the game of someone, or visit a base in galaxy 255, or save edit to get there.
Players who join the game of someone in galaxy 256 (or any other number outside the range 0-255) will instead see Odyalutai; with stars and planets in identical positions but core colour, procgen names and tech seeds shuffled.

What happens if you warp through the core of galaxy 255?
You return to Euclid, the starting galaxy for all game modes except some expeditions.

I've heard about a galaxy 257 called Yilsrussimil; does it exist?
It's possible to use a save editor to reposition yourself into galaxy 257. However, the galaxy name will be shown as Euclid, Odyalutai, or Yilsrussimil, depending upon where you see it shown in the game. Further, players in Odyalutai using the same coordinates show up in your system, demonstrating it's more of a glitch in the game than a true place; after saving and reloading, you will be shown in Odyalutai, and unable to see the Yilsrussimil name henceforth without using the save editor again. So, galaxy 257 does not exist; if it's anything, it's a display artifact when using the save editor.

What about negative numbered galaxies?
No Man's Sky can generate galaxy names for any number you put into the save file (outside the range 0-255), but you will be in Odyalutai (galaxy 255).

How many regions are in each galaxy, and how many systems per region?
There are approximately 4.27 billion regions per galaxy (4095x4095x255), with regions possibly having as few as 122 star systems and as many as 600+.

What types of galaxies are there, and how do they differ?
Lush, Empty, Normal and Harsh; the galaxy type affects the distribution of planet biomes in yellow systems, and probability of extreme survival planets.
So Is it possible for more then 256 galaxies? But glitchy?
No, not anymore
Any galaxy past 256 is 256 with a different name
They don't even exist, the game's save system corrects the galaxy upon load to within intended values
just that the game doesn't correct the name in time, so it displays with a different name until next system load
Ive got a question for any oldheads around
There's occasionally been smaller updates dropped quickly after larger title updates, usually sooner than the typical 3 month timeframe
For instance Worlds 1 dropped July 17th, and Aquarius on September 4th, which is just under the two month mark instead of three
Worlds 2 was also followed by Relics, when Worlds 2 dropped on Jan 29th, and Relics on Mar 26th, which again is just below the two month mark
Anyway, my question is this: Have we ever seen the inverse happen? Where a smaller update is quickly followed by a larger title update?
The reason I'm asking is bc Remnants dropped on Feb 11th, yet the expedition only lasts us six weeks, which would end around the 25th of March, which is pretty far from covering the 3 month gap between updates
I know expeditions usually don't run the whole three months, but i thought they usually go longer than what this one has
6 weeks is the usual run time for an expedition, I don't think you can read much into it
Mk
Is there anything that would give me a waypoint to a dissonant resonator? Having trouble finding one
Pfft nevermind, stopped to get a structure's nav marker, checked the scanner, and bam
Though knowing how to find one easier would still be handy, if it exists
After all that work, all the travel
The marker on the right is the tiny shack I built to have a teleporter on a dissonant planet
Ont he left is the crash I needed to find
literally right next door

Can you mix and match different autophage staff parts?
Does this affect the overall stats of the staff? Or is it related to the terminal and the system type you’re in?
A three star system should give best results? And just keep trying different terminals until I find the color I’m after?
Parts don't affect stats directly and only the head determines the random roll a staff gets at any given terminal. And the system economy strength affects % chance of S class roll.
Hey so I’m being presented with like 3 of these choices:
-Seek the final interface
-Complete the Atlas Path
-Explore the galaxy
And I don’t know why but I’m scared to mess up and choose something like bad
Then again there really ain’t a “good” choice
Just more so wether one’s more or less bad than the other
I want to Explore the galaxy but then again that’s kinda like the “give-up” option where I accept fate
But then again it feels like I doom it if I choose like one of the other 2
And I was just kinda looking for some opinions
If I really had to choose myself I guess I’m thinking “Seeking the final interface” cause the text makes it sound like a giant reset
Which kinda sounds better than just ending all life
Those aren't mutually exclusive and the order doesn't necessarily matter. Exploring the galaxy you can do at any time...before or after these quests...even if it's not the same galaxy anymore. It's not like there is an end to exploring. And seeking the final interface is the ending of the Atlas Path so the first two are basically the same. But no matter what you choose you should be fine, that choice won't end any quests prematurely or cut out content.
Thanks man, I was worried I was going to mess up my chances of continuing the story, thank you for telling me this
.....I feel like I should get Nada's permission for this
Ok thks, I was in a 3star system last night trying to find an S without any luck. Does every 3star system have an S? Or if i havent found it by now i should move onto a new system? To be honest color is more important to me. I'd be happy with an A and I can just upgrade myself if its color i want 🙂
It looks like I can spawn as may autophage camps as I want on one planet. At what point do I move into a new system? Or will an S eventually pop if I keep at it?
You can move systems whenever you like...you use the parts so you know the model, then it's just a matter of finding a terminal that spawns S...the odds are about 1 in 50 in 3 star economy systems.
OK, so every three star system will spawn an S? It’s just a matter of patience.
Do you know if it will always be the same colour of S per system? Or the colour is random?
Color is random. No way to predict it.
OK so I can stay in the same planet you’re saying. There’s no reason to hop systems really
Just keep gathering crystals and keep searching
And cross my fingers when I get an S I like the color 😂
Kinda, it's totally up to you. As long as you're not returning to camps you've already been you can keep searching on one planet. If you start to feel like you're being sent back to places you've been you can change planet or go to another 3 star economy system.
Thks for the info, this will speed up my search
I’m considering just finding the colour I want and upgrading it myself. An S seems hard to find.
Do you know why when I swap out parts the colour and class changes? Is this a bug?
Each staff head determines the class and color at each terminal but there is also an issue that if you check more than 2 per terminal without closing it the results become more random and don't adhere to the seeds that terminal should generate. Butt it should be fine if you craft one of them.
Damn, you know your stuff 😂 so are you saying I should always take the first 2 options and move on? I read something about what you’re talking about.
I know exactly the three pieces I want. Try them once and move on basically?
You can check two staff heads, close out the terminal, then reopen it and check two more if you have more than two kinds.
Yeah.
OK, that’s what I thought so I should grab two heads just for that purpose
I currently only have one
It’s a bit confusing. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it 😂
They have to be different kinds though...two of the same one will show the same roll twice.
OK, so I know exactly the head I want. Roll it twice and move onto a new terminal.
If you only have one head then just check once per terminal...checking a second time wold just show the same result again.
Last night I was pulling them out and back in and getting a second result….ya that sounds bad
With the same three parts
There is also some weirdness where results can change based on where you are standing around the terminal I think. It's a bit chaotic and buggy. But if you craft a staff it should be fine.
Yeah, I read that too. People move around the terminal to get different results until they get their S 😂
Honestly, colour is more important to me. I can always upgrade it myself.
But from what I saw last night, I was only getting two results with the three parts I have. Two different classes in two different colors.
Per terminal
Thanks for the tips. You saved me a lot of time.
When you interact with a terminal, the first two heads give the same result, no matter where you stand. But if you keep swapping the head and previewing, it generates a new version for that head & position combination.
So head 1, preview, cancel. Head 2, preview, cancel. Head 1 again, preview - new colour and stats.
Can I return to elucid Galaxy
Yes, as long as you have a teleporter to use, but if you went to a new galaxy plan on making a simple base or something so you have an easy way to get back.
Wooo finally got the last one!
That’s all of them??
That’s underwhelming
Although idk what else I expected since I ran into all of them
Can’t wait for more to come out
When making a staff are the Colours random?
The colors are tied to the terminal. Want a different color, terminal hop until one gives you the ones you want.
You can enter the parts and look at it without finalizing it. Then just back out and take the parts elsewhere.
It took me hours to get a terminal with yellow and black/grey for this thing
Ah thank you🤙
is there any difference in autopahge settlements and the others? or it is just cosmetic?
They can produce slightly better products and some different products. So they can produce warp hypercores instead of normal warp cells. But there are some products that are exclusive to each of the four types of settlements. Though the settlements produce things so slowly and in such small quantities that it is not worth thinking much about that stuff...just go with whatever race/s you like most is my advice.
In the balance of things though I would say if you care about the stuff settlements create the Autophage are slightly more useful than the rest as only they can passively produce radiant shards, which are all purpose fuel for interceptors and can fill any interceptor tech to 100% including launch thrusters and hyperdrive, warp hypercores, and salvaged glass, which you can normally only get from the canisters dropped by destroyed sentinels and when opening them you can get sentinel modules for exosuit and mutitool as well as sentinel pillar charts, though that is a low odds drop.
i guess considering I switched over to autophage after finishing the quests, It makes sense to become overseer of one. Theres just so much content in this game...lol
BTW I found my S staff, not the color I wanted but I couldnt turn it down. The boost slots are decent to
Is there any known issue with building a base around settlements? I've seen that some people build a base close by
Not that I am aware of, but I personally haven't built a base at a settlement so I don't know if there are issues. And congrats on getting your staff.
Took 15-20 camps and alot of crystals. I came across 4-5 class A, only one S
I never built one near a settlement but have heard that it is best to either wait until the settlement is done adding buildings, or stay far enough out.
ya i read that today, probly better not to build close until its established. I'll just live out of my frieghter until then
What endings did everyone else do for apollo and artemis? Artemis lives on in the sub sim and knows, apollo followed artemis' footsteps and got lost
So the whole world is like "the last few moments before you did, going through memories" but instead it's the atlas' creations?
I have found about half of those so far
I may see more of them after exploring hesperius a bit
I dont remember mine
All i know is galaxy hopping into calypso
Apollo made it out the other end for me
And I expressed sympathy to null, though tbh they dont deserve it
null was technically innocent, just a chill guy since nothing is real
but does lack of reality define an individuals innocence?
Yeah
Morality is socially engineered
The lion does not concern itself with its dinners feelings on murder
Stuffed Artemis in the simulation on my first save. Can't remember what became of Apollo.
Permadeath save just raced to the center.
Next save let Artemis die, told Apollo not to touch the portal, and still working on it.
Started an abandoned mode save, that doesn't do the story.
I disagree
Primarily because I dont see the simulation as being any less "real" than if it werent a simulation
I didn't care much for null but they seem to be regretting some things they did in the past.
It seems like it, but I doubt its sincere
Less "I cant believe I was willing to go that far" and more "I cant believe, after all I've done, I'm still gonna die"
I understand the drive and desire to see everything, I feel that way myself, honestly
But I'm not gonna murder fellow explorers, devour their souls, and condemn a universe to destruction for my own sake
are the ruined planets specific to purple stars?
You mean relic worlds? No, relic worlds are not exclusive to purple systems.
New star type. White Dwarfs. With hipper radiation and hipper pressure. True endgame content when with endgametech ship/exocraft and body suit goes crazy
Really hope for something like this
Or star systems without one. Rogue planet with a lot of dark and high need of always open lantern
Also any hint's what is material what power anomaly? Or atlas core?
I don’t even think they need a new star type. Just give us more options in the settings to adjust.
Adjust what, specifically?
for example rarity of resources, ive had it on hardest since day one and i can find anything i want within minutes
We have hyper pressure at the bottom of deep oceans...just not a whole lot of reasons to go there.
honestly i've had everything on max difficulty and its still fairly easy once you have materials
i understand nms isn't supposed to be "hard" but with more options to tweak it could defiently be adjusted be a more hardcore experience
Hypperadiatiom in my language means being something also in space. Like x10 volume and something what's lowkey mimic warp from warhammer type of hard
And hyperpressure in my language mean
Gas Giant's what's really crush you without max tech
And with maxed tech they make you deepends hardly on exocraft in example
i don't think they need to add much to allow us to increase difficulty at end-game. Simply adding more difficulty settings would go a long way.
Making new star types can also mean some sense to making farms. Farms of a hundreds of items. Rn economy lowkey sucks
Well gas giants in NMS do not have hyper pressure so that's not going to happen, but deep oceans do have hyper pressure in NMS.
In example engine make in complex fabric
yes, thats why i picked a harsh planet to build an underwater base. To ramp of the difficulty
Harash lowkey doesn't work harash. I'm not masochist. Still tornado not even scratch you on gas giant
We can make farms now. I have a set of five farms dedicated to automating or growing resources for 120 stasis devices per day....that's about 1.87 billion units per day. I don't understand why you think you'd need extreme conditions for farms...we can have very good farms now.
I mean
Use of that farms
I can't complain this game already offers so much, but simple difficulty tweaks would go along way i think to please everyone
Like not only monney. In example you need 1k stasis device
To build engine to endgame content
Real use of economy
And making sense for creating farms
Not only stasis device's. A lot of other things
for example if gas giants were extremly rare, it would take you much more exploring to set up that farm
Ah I see what you mean. Yeah I agree with that. The advanced products shouldn't be just for selling or units...advanced technology and such should use that stuff as components. I have said this to HG a few times in feedback letters but so far they have not been inclined to listen.
This is why I suggest White dwarfs. It's harder to implement new content when
someone reach something for now
Manny people have bases
Or portals
it would probly only work for fresh playthroughs
Well, I mean if you can craft Stasis Devices you can craft most things in the game...I added one more farm besides my stasis device farms so I can also craft some Fusion Igniters too should they ever become relevant...with that I automate resources to craft basically everything in the game.
i've honestly considered just wiping my "main" character and starting fresh....i know it sounds crazy but id have a blast starting fresh lol
Yeah. Still this needs time and thinking.
Think about this As you don't have farm rn.
For new "engame" Player after atlantind questline. New goal can be some missions and making "Dwarf Engine" with crazy amount of resources.
I mean real crazy.
Then go to star system where game is real deal. Real challenge.
Completly optional.
Still maybe some bosses? Very rare materials.
Possible real use for
"new exocraft corevette's"(I think instale in example Titan hub on back of collosus is no stupid idea)
Cosmos where radiation reaps you ship plates off
Maybe some living freighter's to fight
Making new system doesn't make everyone game harder
Only someone who want's it
And someone who really want's to sit with game for longer
Even if they end up implementing some kind of tech that require some crazy amounts of resources and advanced products, it will not be for early game...that's just not happening. That will almost certainly be added at the very very back end of the main quests chain...like after purple systems. It will not be a thing where new players immediately have a quest like that dumped on them early game.
Yeah I agree
That's how I see it
Endgame content
I just hit "end" game this week as a new player. For me the trick is creating your own goals now
Its hard to do without a "reward" but if you create goals for yourself NMS has endless replayability
Goal lowkey doesn't make you game challenge. I'm build my own city and rn hunt for max warp engines. Still. I wanna shot with something what can really kill me xD
or re-roll a fresh save, which im considering lol
ya i get you, there is very little chance of death
since loading up this game i have had difficulty on max...300h i think ive died twice
and it was fall dmg i think? not from anything threatening
what galaxy are you playing in?
My city is on freighter. Where I wanna be. Mostly Euclid, Eissentam and Odyalutai
nice im living out a frieghter now, no where near as good though
Oh yeah...I've been at it for over nine years now...and I did it all on my main save. I only ever started new saves to use them to get something for my main save...whether that was player titles I could no longer get on my main save, expeditions back when they couldn't be played from the main save, that sort of stuff. I always undertook my own massive projects...hunting for ships, MTs, and freighter with max or near max stat bonuses, rolled a lot of tech for maxed X class modules, etc. But also learned all languages fully, maxed standing with all factions and races, maxed my exocrafts, frigate fleet, unlocked all legitimately obtainable player titles...etc. etc. etc. Pretty much everything you can think of. I spent over 6000 hours in my main save out of 8000+ hours in the game.
ya youve done the work, the fact that your still playing shows this game is something special
I spend some ampubt of time of building this. Freighter is portable. Still it's lowkey stupid I can't make him 24h.
If this be case some of people can be living there
i could delete every game i own on steam and just play this, id be good
A lot of time. Something harder can be fun As we see
This game need's content what is for longer time players
There Is a lot of things to do
I don't say there's not
I think there are not much hard things to do
Lowkey White Dwarf's can be system's where you also need teamwork
I mean
Like multi-use of corvette
Maybe someone on gun's at least
And someone at ster
In example some monster's what really trynna catch you. And you don't sit in one place to shot
When I talk's about White Dwarf's I mean place where if you normal you don't wanna be
This not must be exactly White Dwarf's
Rogue Planet's can also work in theme
With Hyperfreeze
Without star. Without light you are really Lucky if temperature is not under -200°C
I really hope Titan Worm's can be bigger and harder. Maybe in that type's of climat
Since going to calypso galaxy I haven’t seen a single worm
Calypso have one problem. When I tell harder I doesn't mean crazy amount of sentinels xD
Harder=/=Annoying
Not always
i enjoy it, ive been looking for a "safe" planet to call home for a week now. Last night i finally found it
here is an example of creating your own end-game goals. I found the planet and system i will start building on. I going to make a base on the waterworld and the "safe" relic planet. As well as explore every planet in the system to 100%
fauna-minerals-plants to 100% + bases. I'll be busy for awhile lol
once ive done that i plan to re-roll a fresh pirate character and max pirates rep, I havent done any pirate mission on this character
my third character....if i dont get burnt out by then will be a gek merchant in a corvette, again i havent done any merchant missions or built a corvette yet
if you dont focus on the "reward" and just play to play because this game is amazing you can easily rack up 1000s hours
its about the mindset not the reward for me
i unlocked all expedition rewards because i was grinding them to unlock the rewards, now i just use them a mini story lines,no more end goal grind
My goal is to start country rn.
Something in liberal type of Technocratic Jurisdiction
I rn have capital with 20 difrent of shops/building
And very value freedom
Very science/trader type
I plain to build archive
For usefull cords
And etc
nice your way past me
also on the relic dissonant planet i plan to max an autophage settlement to S. I have alot of work ahead of me
I think maybe about some of RP
i've been living out of a friehgter for months, its going to be a nice change
My main character is construct after human/anomaly.
Not exactly autophage. Autophage are something after Korvax
I have autophage S settlement
In dysonans planet
On purple star system
I very like purple systems
More privacy
same i stick to purple now
Tip from me if you wanna hear. If you don't like that much color of purple ground and you want disonans planet for settlement
Snow is a way
ya no more expedition grind for rewards, i already have everything. I will finish them all but on my now time and at my own pace
i have all the building decor for my upcoming bases, its great
change of pace, run an exp for nanites/$$ for fun
If you play on pc. Mod's are very usefull. I don't know why. There are like 5 furniture's what are not in anomaly/rewards
Inside wall's with banners
In example
ya pc is great for nms
i like the mindset they have: if your not ruining anyone else gaming experience anything goes
If you don't play on pc you can always copy furniture's from me
They propably after copy be staying
On gui
Work's with Legacy part's
im on pc
the planet i found isnt always purple suprisingly, its perfect. Only took me 25 jumps to find it lol
lush/relics/dissonance for a settlement, everything i was looking for
hexagon planet in the same system
waterworld and one "weird" planet
I'll check it though thks, not sure ill take a settlement here or not. Not a big fan of the purple
Planet can apear more purple when you not stand on it
From some of distance shader's look's weird
yes
have you built an underwater base?
I have plan. Still not for now.
I try to found deep ocena planet with settlement. Propably don't possible xD
ya that would be interesting
i found the biggest water world island ive found last night
big enough for a good sized base
once complaint i have about waterworlds, i wish they had more fauna....most ive seen so far is 7. A planet full of water should have alot more then that lol
i was expecting alot more
I really need underwater predator's like subnautica leviatan's
Son of Aquarius is not even a deal xD
Which quest path sets you up to find living ship? I just got to the part where it is telling me to head to the center of the universe
Void egg for 3200 quicksilver in the anomaly.
First one does a quest, then after that it won't.
Ahh ok, only have 1800 QS.
Thought you could just get one from running MSQ
What about the staff type multitools?
Hello
Heh, 1 quest got me enough to get the egg
I don't recall these things being this chatty in normal mode... This had a lot to say in abandoned.
Thats normal.
Hi there guys. May be a good question for the spoilers page but does galaxy type affect purple star systems or just the yellow ones? Like say lush, empty, harsh, etc. thanks.
Just the yellows
Ok thanks.
In abandoned mode or in general?
In general. I gathered all txt before.
Huh, I thought they tended to say some sort of hex code before feeding them atlantideum
Staff construction is unlocked by completing They Who Returned. And unlocking that quest requires completing the Artemis storyline + unlocking a harmonic camp computer on a dissonant world at least once.
They do both
They give binary after feeding.
Before its number sequences or txt
@icy citrus gleamskie i want to make a pacty pact pact
ONE of the updates this year will be in some way related to freighters
No consequences in case of loosing or winning.
consequence: i will let ya all name my frigates
lolll
if I make that, I probably will be downgraded to Palmtop next
Blackberry.
Fancy with a keyboard but old and outdated.
To get to the center, should I just keep following the jump path laid out? Or just keep jumping as far as I can towards the big bright light?
If its for the mission, just keep jumping in general, but to get to the center the fastest, the second option is best
If you're doing The Purge, just hyperjump anywhere. It's the number of jumps needed to progress, not the direction.
Got it completed
Does the class of a staff effect how many slots it has?
Yes. It affects max amount of slots and amount of sc slots it can have
Far far more importantly class affects the damage bonus of multitools. And staffs are not good at anything else, Fewer slots is whatever, and fewer SC slots hurts...but it doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as the lack of damage bonus.
I got an S class staff, but I think my max slot rifle did better damage
It's not...at all...unless you are confusing a sentinel multitool for a rifle. And even then if a sentinel MT has a higher roll than a staff it is purely down to RNG as staffs and sentinel MTs have the same potential max damage. But assuming you mean an actual rifle MT, then if you see higher damage it is purely a result of the tech you have on it...which you should package and transfer to the staff. S class staffs have up to 50% damage bonus...rifles have a max of 25% damage bonus. Rifles are literal garbage...they are a dime a dozen, literally littered all over the place.
This is a sentinel multitool, if you have or had one of these then it is possible it might have been better than your current staff, that would be purely down to RNG...important to remember that this is NOT a rifle though:
Have moved all of the stuff from the rifle to the staff and it doesnt add up to as much as the rifle had
Rifle is destroyer of bones
I also have a sentinel weapon prayer of storms
Were you using superchaged slots on rifle but aren't using them on the staff? That's the only way a rifle could outdamage a staff with identical tech.
Using the super charged slots also
Rifle is only an A class too
Looks like it has a potential 40 slots if I max out the last row
Staff only seems to have max of 30
Then you're doing something wrong or missremembering or aren't supercharging the same tech or modules or something. There is no way an A class rifle is better than an S class staff...none.
I wouldnt think so. Trying to reconfigure and see what I have wrong
Incorrect...ALL multitools of all types at S class have a max of 60 tech slots.
Building up some credits to see if I can open more slots on the S class staff
The absolute worst S class staff will always have 5% more damage bonus than the absolute best S class rifle:
I think it is the slots I had on the rifle with the ability to add more damage features to it
My staff so far only has room for 1 type of weapon with all the addons for that weapon
Then make sure to install the best weapon you have.
Yeah, I seem to work best with the pulse spitter
Is there an easier way of getting weapon slot upgrades other than just making credits to buy the slots?
Finding or buying multitools and scrapping them.
Ok, have gotten pretty decent at finding sentinel ships and scrapping them for credits
Note that the only place you can scrap multitools is on the anomaly...on the top floor near the balcony to the left of the giant teleporter.
Finally got a second S class staff, this has the radiant head too
"Sentinels hate water"
Dissonant sentinel quad:
Been playing non stop and its been good! But why tf at end of main mission it broke all my stuff?!?!
Hatedddd that
When you jump through the center of a galaxy it also does that, so best to swap your MT to one you don't care about, same with ship other than needing an indium or atlantid drive, and putting all your exosuit tech in storage.
If u do a portal with coordinates, it does that everytime also??
nope, only galaxy core jump does that iirc
For me galaxy jumps also get rid of all my saves space stations
Taking a teleporter to another galaxy doesn't damage anything, would be just like going from one base to another.
And now that I finished main quest I dont have to go find buried glyphs right? I got them from it when warping?
Once you collected the glyphs on a save they are permanent.
Can you put photos that include your voltaic staff in #nms-media ?
Sure, anything nms (besides memes) can go there
Staves are not considered spoilers
Bet Ty
elaborate. did you warp 16 times or did you grave hunt and get them that way
@simple shore
what up
i have all 16 and im at the portal it wants me to go to but idk what ones to put in
you don't put them in in any order. it just lets you activate it because it's the mission
not for me
is that your selected mission?
yes
#nms-questions is actually active I'd ask there
Is it just me getting unlucky, or is there not a lot of fauna variety in the waterworks planets?
every one I’ve explored so far has had max 5-7 fauna, with a manta and seahorse.
It feels like the other stars have a lot more underwater variety. But I could just be getting unlucky 😂
OK....forget that. I just did bit of googling. Apparently they are alot of varieties of sharks and eels on waterworlds (purple stars) i just haven't come across yet. I'll keep exploring
Can be the crabs too, found a giant one once on some planet but don't think I recorded which one it was.
are you mostly exploring purple stars deep water? I haven't come across much yet but I'll keep at it 🙂
Last night i came across a pretty big shark on a normal yellow star planet. Other then the odd cool looking manta ray, the deep water fauna has been abit of a let down for me. I guess I was expecting more considering almost the whole planet is covered in water. But again I could just be getting unlucky.
Ive explored a few, though most of the times in purple systems i had been looking for crashed sentinel ships on the dissonant planet, so didn't do many waterworlds.
Oceans in purple systems have a higher chance of the more 'alien' fauna ecosystems, so the sharks will be much more rare in general there
Do you know if there’s a chance of finding lush Islands on Water worlds?
So far the islands I found have been barren not much vegetation
Yeah, I get that but I’ve been trying to find a planet with some vegetation for a main base
Maybe it’s not possible 😂
I may just try to find a lush planet with deeper water and give up the search on water worlds. I’m probably searching for something that doesn’t exist 😂
There is not. There's just the barren coral biome, the radioactive crystal biome (not sure what that is), dead frozen biome, a scorched biome, and a rocky desert biome as possibilities for the islands.
Nice thanks for the info. You saved me a lot of time. From what others have said, I may be a better off, searching for a planet with deeper water
Look for a lush in a purple system with larger ocean patches, it is possible for some to reach around 300u deep in spots.
Wasn't a lush, but did find a rugged cold planet in a purple system with water deeper than i expected.
The only possibility for that is non-gas giants. And I don't think they can have truly deep water like deep oceans. But some of them do have water depth of 300-400u. But normal sized planets cannot have water depth beyond like 150u at most and that's optimistic...it will be less than 100u on average.
Nah
If u want a deep ocean i got u
Euclid galaxy
here it is:

Is very deep
With particular fauna
👆
I don't need coordinates, deep ocean biomes are insanely common and easy to find...but deep ocean biomes are not lush. The guy was asking about lush deep ocean. There is no such thing...only non-gas giants can have some ocean depth and be a lush biome but it won't be nearly as deep as deep oceans.
@hot trout Crashed solar from abandoned mode a few days back, if you were still wondering if they were possible to find.
Ooh
Whenever u go to the center of the galaxy, all ur shit breaks???,
If you don't plan for it, sure. But it's easy enough to swap to a ship with only the base tech and an Indium Drive, a multitool with only the mining laser. and to package up your exosuit tech.
So all in all it is very easy to avoid most damage and only have a few easy to repair techs. You can even go a step further and prepare the repair materials for the few bits of tech that will break before going through a galactic center.
I just get as close I can get to the center before going into the center and buy a random npc or find a wrecked one and use that
I mean, if your ship and multitool lineup is full you also have cold storage where you can keep an additional 18 ships and an additional 18 multitools when you're no using them. So personally I have a designated ship and multitool I keep specifically for jumping through galactic cores I typically just keep in cold storage until I need them.
Nice
nice find dude just one upgrade and its S ranked
Dont worry, youll cry again when you find out the greater context of those words
hello are there new datamine stuff from last update?
where is this from?
The base game
There's this upcoming corvette cockpit. Nothing else to be found, I don't think.
Not sure how I feel about looking out of that thing with all the bars across the window.
They do not look to be attached, so almost looks like a ladder/hand rails placed over top of the window.
It's nice that they'll continue to add new corvette parts, though I still really wish they'd just add a bunch of new parts for existing ship types. Especially for solars since those have the least amount of variation.
hope they add like a box cockpit, something that looks like the hauler cockpit in normal ships
@grizzled apex We had a pirate dreadnaught spawn while I had people riding in my corvette. First time I've had that happen tho. Wonder if somethings changed? I know you were talking about getting one to spawn for multiplayer.
Oh interesting. The padded walls says 'ambassador' but the wiring on the floor feels in keeping with the 'thunderbird' class. I wonder if there will be a few hybrid cockpits?
oh actually that padding looks more like the ringed padding for doorways in the thunderbird too. nvm!
Someone know why Vykeen's don't have any helmet's?
Thick skin? Or what?
It's totally unused, but the game does have a helmeted Vy'Keen design
Probably best it stays unused
You'd expect a vykeen helmet to give off the same vibes the first spawn helm does
The above helmet just looks like a reskinned traveller helmet
Yeah it's a (very modified) version of the Sparse Horizon helmet.
I think there might be one made to fit the Gek, too.
So possible that they planned to let you use the quicksilver cosmetics on every race, and not necessarily to have fully helmeted npcs walking around
If you want a more 'canon' version of Vy'keen spacesuits, there are these guys from the comic included with the preorder:
Between the two, I definitely prefer the sparse horizon version
I more think about something with holes for horn's
Maybe hot pick. Still I think harash helmet from warhammer chaos faction lowkey can suit's them. Without 40k insygnia
For their horn's shape
With holes
Maybe with The Voice of Freedom symbol
I think vykeen's need's something more "heavy"
now that you bring it up i could definitely see some vykeen as Khorne worshippers
i think you're right with the vibe of the chaos helmet
It'd be more ornamental though, i think. Not to the point where it's gaudy but where there'd be engravings for the vykeen's accomplishments and such
I think some stripe's/rune's on paint option's are not bad idea
what even is this??!!!!! 💀
Smiling vykeen
I have the comic
And other fun shenanigans
Damn, they angy.
You know looking through all the bug customization options for our charecter im surprised hello games didn't add in a bug "space suit" to go with the boots, gloves, armor, and heads
So, this isnt likely true imo, but I saw an interesting theory sorta tangentially related to this, theorizing that the reason for the significant diversity in vykeen appearances is actually because some vykeen types are wearing a bioengineered "helmet" of sorts that links into their system and provides different characteristics depending on their relevant job. The idea being that underneath the helmet they all look much more similar but with the helmet their facial features vary drastically. (though realistically theres a huge degree of visual diversity between the gek too, so this is likely just a design characteristic of the game)
I cant send pictures in here, but if you look at the main 3 head types, the idea that the most "human"/Simian one is the default, and the other types that have "plates" on their heads are wearing these bioengineered helmets, that interlink with their senses and change their eye positions and such.
so if that was true (which again, doesnt seem particularly substantiated), maybe a lot of em are wearing helmets
It is interesting that the least visually diverse races are often robotic in nature and the most diverse are organic, bit of an inversion of what you might expect, though there are outliers, especially autophages like yabli-a and the construct polo builds
This has honestly been my headcanon, too. Vykeen wear biohelmets.
My spoiler today is that I was frustrated looking for the last two unscanned minerals in the Expedition only to finally realize THEY WERE THE TINY PEBBLES
yeah its definitely an interesting theory, it does make sense, though since we know the gek used to wear traditional helmets at one point and theyre extremely visually divergent as well. (not to mention travellers, which are all outliers) It does make you wonder if theres some sort of lore reason HG intended for these aspects of the game, whether this particular theory is or isnt on the right track, or if it really is entirely due to their visual design philosophy.
I dont imagine there will ever be a clearcut answer regarding this topic though, so headcanon is definitely more relevant
I prefer settings that leave room for headcanon, like 40k and Star Wars, because subjectively I like my ideas better than most that get greenlit by the committee.
Yeah it generally creates a deeper narrative
though it can sometimes also cause a lot of conflict when things are contridicted in nonsensical ways, so its a balance
Like what happened with the whole terminus decree debaucle a few months ago in 40k, though warhammer in general tends to be better about retaining uncertainty than most other settings, unfortunatley there was a lot of tomfoolery like that with post disney star wars
entirely unrelated but if ur really into star wars headcanon whats your take on supernatural encounters?
Since it really elaborates on a lot of the really ancient mysterious lore components but simultaneously does so in a really well thought out way
Well actually, probably not a question the nms spoilers channel
it is nightmarish
I want these on derelicts asap
mutated Vy'keen
Its not Resident evil
anyone know how the autophage are connected with the korvax?
The Autophage are Korvax who disconnected from the Korvax convergence. And they seem deeply tied to the Void Mother, which is the surviving consciousness of the Korvax homeworld, Korvax Prime, as well as the cause of the Atlantid corruption spreading through the universe.
hmm very interesting, I wonder what started the Atlantid corruption
They have pretty cool story to them ngl
Don't know for sure but my guess is that at some point after the destruction of Korvax Prime by the Gek the Void Mother decided to start fighting against the Atlas, who as the main AI running the entire simulation would have been seen as ultimately responsible for the Gek invasion that destroyed the planet. The Korvax themselves generally think very highly of the Atlas and are borderline worshipful whereas the Autophage and the Void Mother could not live with that and dedicated themselves to fighting the Atlas. Most of this is not explicitly spelled out in lore...we are largely left to connect the dots and draw conclusions but that's my take on things.
Wow man thank you for this info, crazy how someone can know so much abt the lore, thanks for answering!! I was curious bcs I finished the autophage quest and kept hearing about the void mother and the korvax
Makes sense with the feasting casque being an option for them as well
Oh that wouldnt be a helmet
I got the Atlas Eternal ending 😭 I WANTED TO OTHER ONE, rip
You get the Atlas Eternal quest no matter how you end the Atlas quest...it's just a matter of whether you get the Star Seed tech or Mark of the Denier. To be fair the Star Seed is better than the Mark of the Denier, the only reason to do the alternate ending is to get the other player title.
stat wise they both give +1 health but i guess you could say the star seed has more prestige behind it
I wonder what the overall % is for each choice?
Without really knowing anything from spoilers you would think it would be about 50%.
So are the current quick silver unlocks the last of them before a refresher?
Nah, the Star Seed forms a connection bonus with Remembrance whereas the Mark o the Denier does not and the Mark of the Denier has to be "charged" with multiple discoveries before you can use it again.
Imo the choices to get the Mark of the Denier are somewhat more obtuse and intuitive and I don't think a lot of people even realize there is a real choice there so I think most people get the Star Seed...at least an 80-20 split I would imagine...could be worse like a 90-10.
There is a new community mission currently active that will unlock 3 more plants.
Ive never gone that route so entirely possible.
I did it on a side save purely for the sake of unlocking the player title, but it's not something I particularly care to repeat.
Guess id have to even look what choices lead that way, seems the game might try to nudge you towards the star seed one.
I don't remember them at the moment. It's been a while. I do remember I screwed up and got the Star Seed on my first attempt at the Mark of the Denier at one point. It's been a long time since I did it...I think you have to select Leave at one point but I kept expecting a somewhat more obvious choice and kept thinking Leave just means to go away and I'd have to return to finish the quest another time. If my memory serves...but it has been a long time.
Makes sense.
So uhh… the “main story” gets pretty meta, huh?
At least it was done a bit better than the “Illuminatus” trilogy… even stupid, EdgeLord teenager me threw that one across the room when I read “I’ve got it! We’re in a book!”
well. wait until you find out about the ||Atlas||
Been there, done that
So I'm on the Purge quest and a bit confused on what to do. Should I ||seek the final interface or complete the atlas path?|| ANSWERED
what happens when i reset the atlas?
You get to choose which type of galaxy you are brought to, and when you are brought there all of your currently installed exosuit, primary starship and primary multi-tool technology is damaged
what should I choose
That is your choice
what is the difference between those 4
You are allowed to choose between the four galaxy types. Lush galaxies have more lush worlds in their yellow star systems, empty galaxies have more dead and weird worlds in their yellow systems, harsh galaxies have more extreme storms and aggressive sentinels, and normal galaxies have chances that match Euclid Galaxy
red=hostile, blue=dead, cyan=normal, and green=lush.
Also, you are allowed to refuse to reset the simulation, which avoids the technology damage and sends you back to the galaxy that you were at before
2 late
where can I find the coolest pets?
All galaxies have all types of fauna
Not a galaxy type modifier.
The only things affected by galaxy type are the biome chances in yellow systems that I described above, as well as harsh ones having more ex storms/agg sents in all star colors
For the most exotic looking pets and wilder fauna I recommend going to purple systems, which you won't have access to for some time...you get access to those later.
I'm about to finish the purge, I'm definitely picking lush
im doing the mission ghosts in the machine but its not givng me a location to go to it just keeps sending me god knows where very far away and reset to local locations does nothing
ok i see thx !
Reset simulation or refuse?
#nms-spoilers message
Then read down.
So if I refuse I get the mark of denier.... and will be shunned for being a non believer
If I reset i get new tech and title and a new galaxy....
Did I read it right?
Broken tech, will need to fix.
Both have a title, and you can get to other galaxies later by other ways.
No, that's for the Atlas Path. For the Artemis questline you get the Remembrance tech no matter what you do but you get different player titles depending on if you reset the simulation or not and if you reset the simulation you get a free ride to the galaxy type of your choice.
If HG's usual release cadence holds up, then the next update is due to drop around April fools day 😂
Guess we will see, I don't know if they would really want to plan an update for that time though.
Would be funny if it did drop on aprils fools
i broke the simulation and atlas threw me out at Heaven™
there'll be flying worms in LNF apparently
FUCK
horrible creature
theres multiple types of them though, i guess multiple types for different types of caves?
can i reroll this quest's location somehow?
Go at least 4k ly from mission system. Reseting by using nearby steuctures should appear
someone should pin that
i want one of him now tbh
does anyone know how many days on average are between NMS updates
i know that the rough timeframe is every three months, but I thought there was a timeframe out there that said it ranged from 70-odd days to like 85
It isn't a set schedule that we know of, they seem to work on multiple things at once and when the update material is ready they release it.
People have tried averaging the days between updates but you always have some variation.
They try to shoot for roughly every 6 weeks, depending on size etc
Artemis was already dead before you first talked to him.
So how did our character get real time transmissions
Echoes from his grave...and if you pay attention he never really talked to you. If you ask questions he doesn't answer and just says something unrelated. It's like you picking up an old recording and trying to talk to it.
Oo
Hi there guys. Not sure if this a spoilers thing or not but does anyone have all the layouts and color schemes of the pre-built freighter bases? Would be interesting to see just how many of them there are. I was looking into a bunch of freighters in the system where I got my first freighter and found that the system had 3 different types of freighters, 3 name varieties, and one race. Found the S-Class version of my old freighter with a different base layout (one with all the gravitino balls). Thinking about embarking on that journey if no one else has. thanks!
I thought the bases were just random, the only ones I had seen were all different.
No they don't seem to be random. I have seen about 3 or so different freighters with the same base layout. Interesting to me tho since that indicates a pattern when it comes to the generation of pre-built freighter bases.
Could be quite a few, or might be a small list.
Not sure what they would tie it to.
Indeed yep. Just found and purchased a freighter with what was my oldest pre-built base layout. Interesting.
Does all cooked fish give underwater breathing bonuses? Or Should i keep playing with combinations?
Was it aggressive? I haven’t come across much threat yet underwater
no thats a flying creature
and not aggressive
Now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if we see smaller updates for most of the year, leading up to a larger anniversary update
I know there's no real way to tell how big future updates will be, just by virtue of HG being so secretive, but given that another corvette cockpit was datamined after Remnants, I could see them focusing on less complicated things to free up resources
Yeah I agree and this is what I‘m fully expecting too tbh.
It would be cool if they added more smaller gameplay loops like they did with Remnant, but try to make them more coherent. That way we would eventually have our own mini-eve online within NMS.
I can see the vision behind Remnant (at least I believe that) and don‘t think it‘s gonna be the last update of this kind.
I believe they are trying to give us more grounded, actual „jobs“ and activities to do, filling the sandbox with a bit more „purpose“ so to speak. Currently we still mostly have to make up our own goals and projects, which is natural for a sandbox game.
But my interpretation of this update has been that HG is trying to flesh things out and eventually give us a more coherent set of activities and way of playing the game. Hopefully this culminates in an overhaul of the mission system, with a bigger focus on the factions, giving them a bigger role within the Universe and how we interact with them.
We'll see soon, I think
Updates are aimed to be released every 6 to 8 weeks
We are nearing 6 weeks from Feb 11th, which will be this coming wednesday
I don't expect to see anything til the first of April personally
But, point being, if we get another smaller update (which would make two in a row) I think it's safe to say they're building up to something larger later on
While HG haven't normally cared about doing anniversary updates I agree that that this is likely because this will be the 10th anniversary, a really special milestone...something most games can only dream of achieving...pretty much 99% of games with a ten year plan collapse long before they get even close to the big 10.
then why did he know us when we contacted him in the simulation?
Because the messages were specifically for you, nobody else. The messages would only play for you and nobody else
Its The Division's 10 year anniversary this year.
Nah, the Division was dumped a few years later when the Division 2 released in 2019 so it lost support long ago. And that is expected to be replaced in the next year or two so it's unlikely the Division 2 will have 10 years of support.
Well, they're still celebrating it
The division itself is technically still alive, and Div 2 is actually on a player count high right now
They're doing a LOT of work on the franchise
He didn't know much of anything...all of his messages are confused. He seems to think you're someone else too as he accuses you of abandoning him, and never seems to directly address what you are saying. It's pretty much like you are picking up echoes or recordings of whatever was going on with him before he died.
Not really...it only had 27k players around March 8 with the so called anniversary update...that's a really miserable high for a franchise of a major AAA publisher with hundreds if not thousands of devs.
But that 27K players was actually a record high since launch
Which is more of a statement of how bad the game did overall than anything else.
Yeah, it seems to have a niche audience. Not really sure why, but I guess they are hoping it's suddenly, finally growing
Like I say, they have an ambitious calendar laid out for this year, and Div 3 is in development
@fleet fable @prime inlet Didn't want to clutter up the questions channel, but found a sentinel carrier with cargo pods.
Wow it never crossed my mind to look for those having cargo pods…I generally never attack freighters, but if I ever had to I‘d probably resort to this; as I‘d feel less bad about doing it to Sentinels than civilians.
Does it affect race standing? That would kinda suck.
Not sure if the cargo pods on sentinel freighters affect standing but the pods on civilian freighters do...not that it's not worth doing sometimes...probably not a good idea to go ham just to loot at random but you can scan the pods to see contents before you shoot and they are the best way to get salvaged frigate modules...so scanning pods and shooting the ones with salvaged frigate modules is absolutely worth doing. After you play a lot you'll also have a lot of standing...like I have 4866 standing with the Korvax right now...will have more after I do today's daily QS quest...so tactically trading standing for some speciffic things is worth.
We do have some kind of freighter related update coming this year so stockpiling some salvaged frigate modules in case more things are added to buy with them isn't the worst idea in the world.
I hope thats an overhaul of the system frieghter visuals
This was in a Korvax system.
Yes it does affect race standing (odd, I know).
Fought 4 in a row all had pods.
Hmm interesting, I‘d guess it‘s just an oversight from HG, but could also be support for @hot trout theory about there being an official treaty between the Sentis and the main factions, with the former acting as the security/police force of the latter.
I know i had seen pods on those before, but not all...
So could test to see if Vy'keen or Gek systems don't have any pods.
I won't be on for several hours to check but I could try to later tonight.
Last night someone in the question channel had asked about pods on those as they had hit them and noticed standing loss.
I don't think many knew about the possibility of the carriers having cargo pods.
They are tucked under the bottom, 2 on one side 2 on the other, if focused solely on the shield generators and hull they are easy to miss.
this is just HG reusing the same bits across different things
It would still make sense if there were standing loss for shooting sentinel ship cargo pods
I think all freighter containers have the same bits in their entity data
let me see if I can find it
yeah shooting freighter pods will award +1 standing to outlaw faction and -1 to the major race standing in given system
there are different types / models of freighter containers but all of them have this bit
the "main bodies" of the freighters, turrets, shield generators dont have these values so no standing loss on destroying those
I wonder why venator never has containers only balls
I assume it's just because HG set it this way in descriptor chain, meaning that's the only option this freighter body can roll
normally I would check it, problem is with Remnant update HG changed the geometry files for the game
one app I used straight up doesn't work anymore, the other (Blender) Im just starting to learn to use it
Shame. containers on venator looked kinda cool . They had them in pre release game builds.
Those types of cargo containers still exist, I think
Conrainers. Yes. On sentinel freighters. but venator cant have them
For some reason
They also could have a second hangar section there:
not that the hangars would have done anything at that point
Each system has a 50/50 chance as to whether or not it's sentinel freighter will have cargo pods or not.
The existence of the pods is almost definitely a mistake/oversight, IMO. They're the only procedural element to the sentinel freighters, they reuse the existing cargo pod part from the capital freighters instead of being a bespoke sentinel version like the rest of the ship's parts (this is why they have have system freighter paint instead of being metallic grey).
I think it's most likely that when HG decided to convert their generic space military faction into space sentinels, they just missed converting that element of the freighter and have never gone back to fix it
Oh well more loot if you don't mind a slight bit of faction loss.
I think a lot of people didn't realize they could have those pods.
Still rolling on my main save after 300h! What are you all doing as end-game goals? I've finished all the "main" quests, did the reset, and unlocked purple stars. Looking for ideas to spend $$ and nanites on
I havent done a run to the core but as far as i know that just times rather then $$ or nanites
I tried starting an abandoned run but I ended up back on my main 😂 There a lot I haven’t with it yet
I mean...S class ships can be upgraded to 60 tech slots and 100 to 120 cargo slots depending on the ship type...upgrading one ship to max storage costs between 7 and 11 billiion units. You could upgrade ships to S class with nanites but that is usually not worth doing. But there are MANY things to do...getting and upgrading ships, multitools, exocraft, freighter, frigates, etc. Maxing standing and getting all medals with all factions and races, fully learning all alien languages, getting all player titles, stasis device farms, etc. etc. etc. I have over 6000 hours in my main save and over 8000 hours in the game total.
There are many things to do in the game.
I was mainly searching for crashed sentinel ships.
ya its unbelivable the amount of content in this game. I originally planned to roll an abandonded run and returned to my main. Theres still alot I haven't done. Mainly I've just been trying to find goals to burn $$ and nanites because I enjoy exploring the different planets. Generally I gain alot of $$ and nanites doing that
Thats still a goal i have to get to. I don't have an S sentinel ship yet. The ships sell for alot if your only after an S. You must be rich sir lol
I still don't have an exotic either. I've only seen one or two but I remeber them being pretty expensive
I'd go to a new system, find one and take some screenshots of it, claim it then move to another system.
Liked finding new ones in systems no one had been to yet.
Didn't find a lot of S class ones though but even a C class scraps for a lot more than regular crashed ships do.
Yeah, I’ve heard that Sentinel ship hunting is good money
I’m pretty picky when it comes to ships so I imagine it would take me a while to find a sentinel ship to add to my collection
I got lucky and found a good one fairly early on.
Before that all I found were orange ones I didn't like.
wonder if we'll see an emoji drop at the end of this week
When the time comes, do the emojis start dropping on a Friday?
Emojis can start literally any day (aside from Wednesday, so far)
Then update will be following Wednesday
I hope we get some improvements with corvettes.
A major feature and yet it subjectively feels unfinished.
as in abandoned galaxy?
Yes, you can change the options so your playthrough has every system abandoned, no NPCs, no anomaly, etc
It's for experienced players who want a challenge
Still have the anomaly on abandoned just no npcs in it, so those blueprints are moved to terminals you build.
Ah, thanks for the correction, I misunderstood and didn't get there on my own run yet!
Yeah, it’s a slow go. No NPC’s
The only thing I didn’t like is no threat in the skies. There’s really no reason to equip your ship with weapons or shields.
Space combat is quite optional in that mode, only reason to have weapons and shields is if you choose to pick a fight with sentinel interceptors.
@grizzled apex Is stuff coming tomorrow
There's been no emoji so not likely.
Maybe Sean will tweet emoji in around a hour or later today but if not for sure not tomorrow they have done emoji one day before release before though its not often we shall see
Sean does not typically tweet an emoji the day before...it has happened once so not entirely unheard of but not likely. It's also getting late in the day in the UK, it's past 9pm in the UK so very unlikely at this point.
Sean has tweeted around this time before
Sean usually tweets emojis 1 PM to 3:59 PM my time Its 2:25 PM for me
Im not saying we will get emoji today but there is possibility if he tweets it by around a hour
Yeah but if he had an emoji to tweet he'd had likely tweeted it by now.
Not always the case
He has tweeted emojis later before
If not a release tomorrow March 25, 2026 my guess is April 8, 2026
If he does emoji today then release tomorrow March 25, 2026 is possible
Not the day before an update. And the one time he tweeted an emoji the day before the game was not yet out on Mac and Switch 1 & 2 so he has more platforms to manage too.
Its rare for him to tweet emoji day before
But he has a little before
So im not ruling today out
I'll throw my hat in for april 1st
with an emoji drop this weekend
if not, then the 8th of april is my next best guess
are you guys talking about predictions for the next expedition? what do you mean?
Yes. Predictions and speculations made based on past updates releases.

Order of them was set by me
#3 got me thinking. We just got junkyards on moons
#12 Always thought that stuff looked like grease.
Oh! So there will at least be Sentinels on abandoned mode.
this man is feared by grass
I've been thinking the same, there been a slow encroachment of the autophage with each new update, and in this one, with all these new assets they've added, a whole lot of the scrap on junk planets are sentinel walker parts.
Perhaps those autophages at crashed interceptors become something more
I doubt that them specific ones at crash sites will change. But autophages overall might. I dont think they will for ever stay in their junk bodies. We gived them tones of stuff through doing missions for them. My guess is that they will upgrade at some point. And leave behind the junk bodies.
I was reading the quotes you listed above, and thinking about the junk just added in remnant. It could be that we refine it into something else in future (not junk nanites).
"A segment of every interceptor wishes to self-actualise" is what led me to think about those particular autophage.
But I might be on completely the wrong tack, I'm still fairly new to NMS.
Interceptors are the ships. no evidence that they are part of them.
And sentinel ships had an "upgrade" in interceptor update
I'm not thinking about the interceptor ship, but its pilot (which is what I assume those autophages were - their awakening causing or caused by the crash)
Imo they dont had pilots. We take out its "brain" to make the pilot interface and hack it.
We had to take out and reconfigure the brain to accept a non-machine pilot, but then we put it back
As I say, I might be reading it wrong
But those quotes and those autophages having little interaction or purpose at the moment seem interesting together
We hack the brain to make pilot interface. The rectangle thing in cockpit
But it doesn't say that is/was the hyaline brain.
Regardless, my proposition is that the autophage was formerly part of the interceptor, and I assumed the pilot, if I was correct. Given they are only a head and a hand, and need glass parts removing to function coherently, they don't seem to have come along after the ship crashed.
Alright, I agree this was a sentient part of the ship, and is part of the pilot interface.
My thinking is, the ship can have a CPU separately from having a pilot. The pilot determines where to go, the CPU makes that happen (which is why we still need it).
And I'm totally prepared to be wrong about it all.
Interceptors could have pilots at some point of time in simulation but no solid evidence atm
My original thought, in any case, was that we further assist that autophage, separately from the interceptor itself
Maybe hg will expand on it in the future
Maybe something related to the guy in the anomaly
Interceptor ships are sentinel ships...they don't normally have any pilots. And the Autophage have absolutely nothing to do with interceptors. The Autophage were Korvax, before they disconnected from the Korvax convergence.
Autophage could definetly probably make their own frankenstein ships that they can directly interface with
Would be interesting to see
im stupid, what does it want from me? do i just continue progressing towards the center
ok i do just keep progressing towards the center
btw was i supposed to photograph each glyph or is it just decorational
ok thank god
whats the fastest way to get to the galactic core
trying to use black holes rn but they only get me 10-20 thousand light years per warp
Go to a planet's portal and dial glyph 1 16 times. This will take you within a handful of jumps of the core.
If you have an exocraft with the scan module, you can search for alien structures, a monolith can direct you to a portal after you successfully complete its challenge.
you don't need to get to the core. you just need to do 16 jumps
in any direction
but yeah, if you really want to get to the core, find a portal - alien cartographer map x3 from any space station, use them until monolith shows up, answer riddle correctly, click on it again and get portal location, then at portal, enter first glyph 16 times.
That will drop you on a much marked planet around 5K LY from the core, then follow jumps until you are at final system, hold down to jump into the core.
however -- if you jump into the core to a new galaxy, then expect everything on your ship, multitool and exosuit to break
Don't worry about the center. You don't have to reach it and reaching it would not help the mission. You just have to warp 16 times.
well thats uncool
Reaching the center has absolutely nothing to do with the purge mission...at all. Even though it says to go towards the center you don't have to and actually reaching the center would NOT complete the mission. You literally only have to warp 16 times...telling people how to reach the center does not help them complete the mission because they'll go through the galactic center, notice the mission did not complete and they'll only be more confused.
HG wanted to gide u but stay vauge
Its worth noting that the entire main quest can be completed in another galaxy.
one of my favourite things to do on a new save is to do the MQ until you summon the anomaly, then immediately find a base in eissentam or even further out to complete the MQ
In fact I wish they'd make it so a new save now has the chance to start in a random galaxy
iirc there is a featured base in galaxy 19...you could go there via the anomaly, finish the purge, select to reset the simulation, choose lush galaxy, and that would land you in galaxy 30. You can get there in just a few hours on a new save by prioritizing the Artemis questline.
You're right, I'd confused them with another player in a different channel who received that advice about the same quest, and thought they had another reason for asking.
Now I'm not too sure of an update coming on the 1st
HG is infamously unpredictable, sure, so there never have been guarantees
but there's not much progress made on Community Research and no sale on the game yet
I also haven't seen Bomberboi mention any expeds being loaded
Steam Spring Sales have just ended... and the last time, the game went into a sale after the first emoji had been posted
And that was on a Saturday, with the game going into sales on Monday and Remnant getting released on Wednesday
We have nothing to guess based on at this point. IF an update is planned for the 1st, the emoji wouldn’t drop before tomorrow at the earliest. There’s no real point to talking about it right now. If no emoji before Monday then we wait for next week and so on.
if i reset the universe will the save end or smth?
i refused it just to see what happens and now i cant go back
ffs
"refuse the atlas" that just means defy it not "refuse the offer" 😭
ok how do i go back
and where do i get the heart of the sun in the anomaly its litreally not here
You're not missing out on much if it's any consolation
You don't go back. It was a one time opportunity to get a free ride to the galaxy type of your choice. Once you said no, that was it...no second chances.
The heart of the sun is related to the Atlas Path, it has nothing to do with the Anomaly. You don't get it from or use it in the anomaly.
Do polo and nada react differently if you decide to not reset?
though you CAN switch galaxies it's kind of difficult
and if you want to go to a specific one you have to pass through the previous ones to get there, so it'll take time
Yes, the interaction when not having reset is a bit more wholesome.
Good to know I made a whole new save hoping that was the case
well thats stupid 😭
fml
What galaxy type did you want to go to?
i didnt even know it led to going to another galaxy
a galaxy which has more earthlikes preferably
i basically went through the whole questline completely blind
I remember choosing the ANGRY GALAXY and ended up in like Calypso
except the glyphs at the end
is it possible to revert the questline to before going to the atlas
lush galaxy...there is a very easy way to get to one...two of the featured bases in the anomaly are in lush galaxies. One in galaxy 10 eissentam, and one in galaxy 19. You can go to one of those bases and then you're in that galaxy...you can go wherever and do whatever you want. A lot of lush planets in yellow systems.
oh damn
tysm
Galaxy 10 (Eissentam) is very popular
For people building bases
So definetly no shortage of places to visit
Isdoraijung (19) will be a little emptier
Odalyuti (255) is very empty
I'm up in Teyaypilny (50), definitely very much alone here
I actually lie I had to stake my claim on 255 in a purple system
Like 3000ly from center
You have to complete a bunch of other quests first...the Artemis questline, the Atlas path, They Who Returned, unlock the terminal in a harmoic camp, and then you get the quest to unlock purple systems iirc. I don't think I forgot anything there.
oh ok
i havent even touched the atlas path yet
this'll be fun catching up
I was so proud of finally reaching the center of the Galaxy that I made a small pub...
-# Then I realized there were at least 254 more galaxies...
Time to start a franchise
anyone know of a site that has a list of previous updates' emojis
preferably with the date they were sent
if such a site exists
i've looked myself but i can't find anything
Thanks spirit!
That is a nice find! Thx @hard stirrup
And from this, we get an interval of 4 to 6 days between the first emoji and any release of the last two years.
Given that releases come out on Wednesdays, that provides us with a "launch window" between any Thursday and Saturday...
Yeah technically emojis COULD come out any day of the week except Wednesday
But they dont
Seems like they mostly aim for Friday or Saturday now
It doesnt seem like there'll be an update this week, though. Friday and Saturday have passed, and I don't think Sean ever tweets an emoji on a Sunday afternoon, so we'll have to wait for next weekend
honestly im expecting an emoji this coming Friday and an update on the 8th
That's what I'm thinking too
I at first thought an emoji this weekend and update on the 1st but that doesn't seem likely now
Sean pls emoji in 3h and update in wed bc it would be soo funny.
by all means prove me wrong lol sooner the update the better
But I think in his time zone he missed the funny number by a few hours
April 5th (Sunday) is also a holiday in some countries so that could affect when an update comes out.
yeah easter sunday
who knows what HG's plans are
they might've intentionally delayed the update so they wouldn't be stuck worrying about hotfixes and bugs before going on holiday
if i were a dev i'd probably do the same, to be fair
I wouldn't want to be stuck in an office either, if it could be avoided.
Wouldn't be unlike them to push a broken patch then just leave it over the weekend/holiday, though.
Im hoping to see corvette doors, any new cockpits, and more staircases. Based on data mines it seems likely.
What I WANT however, is an auto summon companion feature. I want to be able to favorite one companion, and have them be auto summoned across planets and the anomaly until dismissed, like Tethys. I feel like the game does not do a good job of creating a bond between the player and companion, especially when you have to manually summon them every time. It is unlikely we’ll ever get this though, I doubt they’ll touch companions again which is a shame.
Also a cool qol of life thing would be more camera settings. Right now we have ship and on foot preference for third or first person but I want more. For example:
(these would be the categories and my selected settings)
On Foot (planet): 1st person
On Foot (space station): 3rd person
Corvette Interior: 1st person
Corvette Exterior: 3rd person
In Base: 1st person
On Foot(In Freighter Hangar): 3rd person
In Freighter Base: 1st person
Derelict Freighter: 1st person
Anomaly: 3rd person
Spacewalk: 3rd person
In ship (Landed): 1st person
In ship (flight): 3rd person
Standard Exocraft: 3rd person
Colassus: 3rd person
Minotaur: 3rd person
Natalius: 1st person
Any more settings like these would be nice
I'd like to see an expansion to corvettes allowing you to build rotating parts. Not rotating habs like you rotate a furniture item (though that would be cool), but as in wings or other parts that would have a radius they can rotate in, and you could configure how far said part rotates
Like a wing rotates upwards while a corvette is landed, but then rotates downward while flying
The game would ofc stop you from rotating something too far downward in the "landed" condition, so nothing would clip into the floor, and your rotation radius would stop you from clipping into ship parts (habs, cowling etc) for obvious reasons
I'm also with you on corvette doors, staircases and cockpits
I'd like to see, if possible, something implemented to let us more precisely plan interior layouts like small corridors and such so you could more accurately recreate ship interiors like the millennium falcons, among others
Though I don't think it'd happen, not so soon after Voyagers anyway
When you beat the storyline and pick a galaxy to warp to, does it count as reaching the center so you can get the permadeath achievement?
It should as far as I know.
An entity that is basically responsible for simulating the universe NMS takes place
ik but what created the atlas?
AFAIK it's not revealed
I just checked on wiki, apparently each race had their own version of atlas at some point but we don't know which atlas our simulation belongs too, no idea if it will ever be revealed
are they actually different versions, though, or how they each see it?
I think so, at least it should. But it is not how I would do it. Completing the Artemis storyline takes longer and is harder than prioritizing getting some units to afford an S class explorer(pretty much any S explorer will do)...ideally with at least 2 supercharged slots close together but if not that's ok. 3 S class hyperdrive modules and the first 3 engine drives up to Indium. Not strictly necessary but I also recommend the emergency warp drive because it gives good connection bonus and if you end up in a bad situation in a space battle you can bail...it will break but it can save your skin. That might take a few hours if you don't have access to a soid expedition reward ship like the Boundary Herald or the Starborn Runner. If you have either of those ships you won't even have to camp a station waiting for a good ship and will just have to get a few nanites for the drives and hyperdrive modules which will take less than an hour. After that all you have to do is basically craft lots of fuel for a few hundred jumps. Relatively minimal risk and if you die you won't lose a lot of play time as once you have your ship set up you are basically home free. If you encounter freighter defense battles when warping don't even engage...just boost straight for the station, dock, jump out of ship and reload restore point and keep on warping.
Atlas made Atlas, potentially. You can find miniature Atlas's made by the Atlas to simulate the Atlas in itself. 😅 Atlas is desperate to speak to its own creator though, so there's that. 🤷
Sounds like a performance nightmare unfortunately
Not against it if they could get it to work but
If its been around 5 to 6 months since Remnant sure, otherwise probably not.
Yes. Old datamined info from last year, first datamined after the Voyagers update released. I spent most of December accumulating all of this to prepare:
Ngl I dig it when people stick to og orange color for Interceptors, I love black & white ones, but the Orange just feels right on them. Mix a little bit of white in there, and it‘s perfect.
But anyways, going off topic here

@dry sable
No stickers in this channel please

Jesus christ😂
I mean I feel like this might not be legit based on the 2.1 million quicksilver😂
Not all the quicksilver is legit, that was an oold exploit. I mainly did it because during the first ever quicksilver mission the mission bugged out on me and I was not able to get all the items I wanted even though I should have been able to. So I used a glitch that was only possible during that first ever QS mission...it was quickly patched. But all the freighter stuff. That stuff is all legit. I spent most of december collecting all that stuff. With the help of a massive Stasis Device production setup across five farm bases.
About 1.25 million of my quicksilver is from exploit. The rest is actually legit...I still do QS daily missions ever day and don't miss weekend missions.
Well using glitches is part of the game I suppose, its all a choice and its impressive regardless. Ive used glitches for a lot of my storage and a few qs ones myself
. I know the grind my friend even with duping
Very impressive
I stopped doing the daily missions after I got everything
But they are fun
I have got 8000 hours in the game. Actually the grind for all the freighter stuff helped push me over as I was sitting at around 7900 hours but then I started running a lot of derelicts to collect all the lore logs for the catalogue, after I finished those I kept going collecting cargo bulkheads and I have placeholder bases in systems where the derelict freighters have S freighter modules with maxed stats.
Holy shit😂
Highest Ive seen
No cheat engine speed hack mm?

Would probably just crash the game actually
Oh there are people with 10k+ hours. Def not the highest but up there.
Well its very impressive sir fair play to you. Do you collect items?
Depends on the items really. I do collect a lot of stuff. All kinds of rare and common stuff. I usually like to keep all kinds of resources on hand, some just in case they become relevant later. But it depends really. I don't collect everything...like fossils I don't keep.
Dont blame you for the fossils bit tbh they are just a pain and theres like 180 types
Tradable but not worth it
sooo basically I started looking why the Sulphurine would show as terrain resource because I dont remember it doing so
asked around on modding server and got a tip from AyyMang where to look in game files
there's one file with section that defines which resources are set as "biome specific resources", ex. Parafinium for lush, Ammonia for toxic, etc
there I saw the Sulphurine (GAS1) being linked to "All" biomes, which is weird
I decided to check whether that was the case in previous game versions, because again: I don't remember Sulphurine being the case before
Sooo I dug a bit and found game files from before Worlds Part 2, specifically the Cross save update and there
the "All" biome is linked to CREATURE1 substance which is Mordite
so I made a little mod, replacing the "GAS1" value with "CREATURE1" value in that one specific file
and lo and behold
the Mordite shows as resource and spawns as deposits
taking the mod off and checking the same location - no deposit
location being right behind the portal of the planet you shared the coords for
my theory: when HG added the new biomes with WP2, they had to update this list as well
I think they copy-pasted stuff into "All" biome, realized they didn't want gas giant specific resource to be linked everywhere
so they hit Backspace a couple of times, leaving GAS1 (sulphurine), instead of reverting to what was before, so CREATURE1 (mordite)
I think there's likely more than one layer to the bug. Thing is, a portion (maybe most? haven't checked the numbers) of swamp planets are actually lush planets that are using the swamp subbiome. The game overrides a bunch of features of these planets to make them work as if they are 'true' swamp biome planets, but it seems like there might be a mistake where instead of overriding the 'lush' minable substance option to the 'swamp' one, the game is instead overriding to the 'all' option
ok but even then, it should spawn some kind of deposit
for GAS1 and some other substances I checked, no deposit forms
I wonder if it has to do with the RealitySubtance tag
that it must be Earth common / uncommon
Yeah I don't know how feasible it'd be, and I could imagine some pretty gnarly bugs when it comes to anything that moves and is collision related
I am considering drafting up a suggestion for HG's Zendesk anyway
hmmm no, Sulphurine is also Earth common
MP would break it as per usual but they need to strongly consider a multiplayer code refactor at some point
First traveler crashed ship log...
2nd.
3rd.
Put these here instead of the lore channel since they could actually be spoilerish...
I spoilered myself. 🙈
no emoji yet?
There's been a potential private branch update for nms recently, as well as something similar on LNF's SteamDB page which I believe is the first non-media related update on that page
you gotta start wearing a bigass S on your chest because you bring more hope than what's probably needed for just one DB change
moreso on the LNF part than NMS
I do have a question though, now that I think about it
How do you tell the difference between an update on the internal and just a typical Steam, site-wide change being made
Because I was under the impression that those nondescript change numbers were, most of the time, something on Steam's end, not necessarily HG's
I was pretty taken aback by that when I saw it, but then again it could be a lucky steam change that just happens to look intentionaly
You'd think if they were automated steam changes they'd all occur at the same time, too,
which they didn't
LNF's happened a few hours after the one on the NMS page
Nothing absolutely concrete, I'm just fairly certain based on matching NMS' unmarked steamdb updates to when we see updates to the one private branch we have access to (experimental), and when we realistically expect them to update internal and noticing that those two seem to match up with these unmarked updated w/o x other apps being affected
then again i have no idea what I'm talking about LOL so i could be wrong
i see
also I think HG did some cleaning up with trailers and stuff a few days ago
there's this here
and I noticed they did something similar before Remnants
Not that it means anything outside of them doing spring cleaning
but I take it as a sign of activity nonetheless
Oh
oh shit Bomberboi might actually be right, i looked back on the LNF DB page and that change he mentioned is different from the rest
It's not considered a changelist or store_tags or whatever. that's odd
Either way my bets still are at "one day it just randomly spawns on steam and the others game's stores"
Oh hey, game's been on an xbox sale for the last 2-3 days
Is that part of a storewide sale though? Or HG set?
iirc Xbox has been having a sale on its store for a little bit now
I could be wrong, ofc, but I got a notif that outer worlds 2 and a bunch of other games are on sale so its quite likely they're doing something storewide
The last campfire is on sale also, so i can't tell
yeah maybe they're just doing a spring thing
Oh yep, storefront wide spring sale.
I could see them release a retrospective trailer that will feature previous updates over the decade for 10 year anniversary so maybe they are prepping for that. Would be neat, easier on the eyes as well as informative for the potential new players
no emoji today, maybe tomorrow
or maybe HG is taking time off for Easter and they're waiting til after to get the ball rolling on an update
Will the atlas actually kill me if I say yes to letting me die
Normally I don't like shadow drops, but Light No Fire is a special exception for me. I want to go into that game without knowing anything about it lol.
this
a lot of companies are. Monday too since it is a red day in many EU countries
Might get something on Wednesday perhaps
Imo no emoji until at least week after easter. So mid april at minimum
Makes sense! Closest day, this coming Thursday for the first emoji
I accidentally walked away from the atlas instead of going to a new galaxy
Fuck.
Does anyone know how to edit save files
I'm used to other games where you spam right click to speed up text
And right click is also the keybind for "leave the conversation" for some reason
Its not a huge problem -- you can either jump to the center of Euclid and jump into hilbert by going through the center OR, call up the anomaly, and go to one of the featured bases in Eissentam or Isdoraijung
People forget theres a huge teleporter gate in the anomaly
so will they actually improve upon either corvettes or the new garbage feature or just leave them at that?
cause I really think they should focus on enhancing existing features as well
We have no insight in HG plans
They can. The also can leave it and make next update about something else. Everything is possible with Hello games
sigh.. normally I'd feel like going on a rant about how leaving features half-done like this hurts the game but I guess this is to be expected. They tried something with settlements and it did not work out. And so I guess that is the last we've seen of settelements.
At least I wouldn't mind a freighter overhaul that has been speculated about
nah, they rotate on features. They will likely come back to settlements at some point
what makes you think so?
Theres a succession of overhauls of older stuff rn
you mean like the exocraft? but that is just for the colossus though
I suspect that ship-building is done for now, and we already have the races set-up. A freighter overhaul of the system freighters is over due now they've done the space stations
Which will be intersting as I have a system freighter. I've yet to see anyone else with the one I have
They could overhaul the other ones yet,we don't know.
They've worked on the minotaur and the colossus, but the other 2 or 3 have yet to see any work done
if they think they have potential in the first place I guess
The Nautillon imo has the most since we have extensive oceans and stuff to be explored now
but in any case I'd take a freighter overhaul over all of these since that is more widely used than the exocraft
else corvettes. More parts, more habitation module styles
Hello everyone 👋🏻
Also guys don't forget the major update Starfield gets in 2 days time.
I think corvettes will get more parts but they may sprinkle those in with other updates.
Yeah wouldn't surprise me
that'd put us over the 6 - 8 week update window but it'd make sense since the presence of a holiday skews it anyway
As far as the contents of the update you're right we really don't know what HG is planning til it happens, with the rare exceptions of data mines. I believe the space station overhaul was data mined a year in advance, and Corvettes were found maybe 6 months beforehand
I don't expect any of the updates this year to be very big, really, since I think they're building up to whatever the NMS 10 year anniversary is going to be
But given they're taking more time than usual (assuming it's not because of Easter, when it could be) maybe I'm wrong
Friend said a crossover event with starfield would be amazing, Im not sure i see such a thing happening, but I agree it would be good
I think Voyagers was our crossover event lol Bethesda just didn't know it
