This time Sean says it's 3 updates (when actually it's one with 3 contents). I remember him saying the opposite once (maybe Beyond but not sure). That time HG decided to pack updates together to make a big one. They never talked about multiple updates that day.
5.25 is one update with 3 main features. This is what it is. You can call it 3 updates but in fact there is one : 5.25

I am completely with this here! The entire "3 updates" is only marketing talk.

But that doesn't take away from the fact that one of those main aspects here has been an amazing technical achievement for HG even if it doesn't show off too flashy to us consumers.

Things like Exomech and living ship were fairly small and technically insignificant updates in comparison to the recent cross save. Yet those updates had whole titles and trailers boasting them. It's way easier to market something flashy than something purely technical

Atlas Path was the original story line from release, now relegated to being a secondary story line if it makes sense

If you have Atlas Eternal in mission log you're done with Atlas Path

If you have New Beginnings in midsion log, you're done with Artemis Path

U'm so confused about Autophage

Okay so to my knowledge

They're like

A Korvax abandoned by something called Mother void?

And that's what sorta makes Korvax a huve mind?

Long ago the Gek enslaved the Korvax and mined their home planet, Korvax Prime aka. Void Mother for resources. They ended up destroying the entire thing. That severed the entire hive mind of the Korvax.

Most Korvax then proceeded to build their own new hive mind, the Convergence. Some who remained loyal to their home and resentful towards the Atlas for allowing such atrocities to happen, never connected themselves to the new convergence, choosing to embrace individuality and self replication.

Also apparently Autophages still hear Void Mother talking and promise a resurrection of some kind for it

Pretty much the walls of reality are becoming thin to where time and space are becoming warped.
And the barriers between universes is so thin that you can talk to others across them and across time.

In a more pragmatic sense, Atlas is designed to run simulations of the universe. It runs multiple simulations in parallel, with different starting conditions. So the "boundaries falling" is really just poetic language to say that the simulation instances are becoming corrupted and mixed with each other as Atlas's hardware continues to degrade

All the traveller NPCs look like aliens though. I guess the one we play as could be different in some way, but I can't think of any lore that implies that.

We do know that the Atlas based the traveller's appearance off its own creator. Each traveller looks a little different because every time the simulation is reset, the Atlas' memory gets a little more distorted.

It's left to interpretation as to what the original traveller looked like, they might have been "human" but I think there are some subtle clues that that isn't actually the case, travellers almost all consistently have four fingers on each hand for example.

As corny as it sounds, "traveler" doesnt necessarily refer to the player character, but to the player themselves. YOU are THE traveler. There is no original, or we all are, depending on how you want to look at it.

It's sort of canon that some ancient version of the Atlas was built on Earth (as per the Waking Titan ARG), but the people that built the game's Atlas may have been millennia in the future. so who knows.

That way you're not having to repair a ton of stuff, just the bare minimum.

• Orb and associated type:

  • Green/Lush (More lush biome planets)

• If the player is still in Euclid at this point, then:

After you complete the purge by finding The Final Interface you will unlock some more content that was previously unavailable to you like Staves or Atlantid multitools so do it eventually, but you dont lose anything by just exploring if you dont feel like completing the story right now

A: Despite what its objective says, no. The Purge simply requires the player to warp 16 times in any direction, to any system. Please wait for the mission to acknowledge progress on HUD before warping out again. Each warp teaches 1 portal glyph, if the player hasn't learned any yet.

❗ Warning: After the 16th warp, it is recommended to take a moment to store installed tech/modules on exosuit, active ship and multit-tool tech inventories (or swap to secondary ship and multi-tool you don't care about, only do it for exosuit).

Emeril can be found on any planet in green star systems (Capital letter E in stellar classification -> #bot-spam message)
Extreme weather planets will spawn Activated Emeril instead, if a recipe calls for normal Emeril then you need normal emeril, not activated

It looks like the space anomaly crashed onto the surface of this planet…

What if LNF is set in a distant “future” after NMS?

Or! What if it is the other way around? NMS is the future of LNF?

Although we do know that HG is testing LNF tech in NMS…

My theory is this: LNF is a more detailed simulation being performed by either the Atlas (upgraded, presumably) or a later model, to show a more accurate and complex simulation. The Atlas’s initial goal was likely to just see if life could be simulated, and how it would develop on a basic level. LNF is likely being simulated to add additional details and variables to the simulation, as well as testing the limits of what the newer model can do
