You just need to warp for the Purge, not actually reach the center
Well there you have it
Stream isn't loading for me sorry
Just
Go along the path to the centre until you reach near it
Don't actually go into the centre once you get there
The Purge is the mission that teaches you the glyphs, so you just need to warp 16 times and then some stuff will happen
You can warp back and forth between two systems if you want to
so just warp to random locations
That's boring, but you can
Yep
I think it's more thematic if you follow the path it sets to the galactic center
but yes
welp haha i just finished jumping the 10 or so i needed
so what now? just forget the final mission so i dont lose everything?
lol wdym?
time isn't actually running out but who knows
anyway the end is near, keep going
would like to warn you one thing
If you choose to reset the simulation it WILL break every single thing you own (starship, exosuit, multitool, every technology is damaged)
Most recommended is usually doing the purge when you need to do warps for the Atlas missions. You get hyperdrive fuel, Glyphs, atlas words, while you are filling in the requirements for 16 warps
all the galaxies already exist, if you want to get to one of them you can get there via someone else
I say stay in euclid tho
Which also makes me ask, Did you do "Birth of a New Star" too.
what quest is that?
i only have 2 primary missions left: The Purge, and The Space Anomaly
Because "The Purge" and "Birth of a New Star" go hand in hand.
So you got all the recipes?
and yes i selected to create a new star
Ah, then you finished it.
so i dont need to do the center stuff?
You never needed to go to the center.
I have to say, when it comes to endings that (spoilers: outer wilds) || involve the end of one thing and creating something new, no man's sky is definitely still second to outer wilds||
welp haha guess im never finishing the quest then
The Purge is just warping 16 times. And then you will end up at an Atlas Terminal.
Then the game gives itself the PERFECT place to roll credits but chooses not to
I just warp to Atlas stations for Atlas words.
I just decided to try editing the credits onto the spot I thought they'd work and shazam
they work perfectly
Still on about this game's credits. Game never ends. So there is no credits to say "it's finished"
Itl also do that if you chose not to reset the simulation and go to the galactic core anyway (i speak from experience)
Also every time you go through the core. (I speak from MUCH experience.)
Well, Pokemon (1999), and Minecraft did it... don't see why NMS can't :P
NMS is built different
Is this specific OST supposed to play while you're pulsing to the galactic core during the purge?

This is a GameRip and what I mean by this is I turned all other sounds off except for music and pla...
because it did, and to me it sorta gave off the exact opposite vibe to Final Voyage from Outer Wilds which made the whole thing like 10x better
spoilers: outer wilds
||Final Voyage gives off a huge sense of climactic and inevitable closure one way or another, this one gave off a sense of impending but tranquil death, it was really special||
Felt like there wasn't any going back and that I was leaving everything behind to put this universe out of its misery
that part there is the exact same
Yeah, believe so. Then Supermoon plays when you jump to a new galaxy
But yeah, that's generally the sense of the game. You're going to either stay or create a new galaxy, leaving everything you discovered, friends made, all of it.
Once you do jump to a new galaxy, the song that plays is supposed to give this "rebirth" feel. Which I don't think happens in the Outer Wilds. But if you try to return to Nada or Polo. They won't remember you.
There's ||The quick electric guitar track during the big bang?||
I believe so. I'll find a YouTube video of it
There's a universe out there to explore.
This is a song released by 65daysofstatic. It is the second track on the first disc of their album No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe.

Kinda, but that one doubles down on the completion vibe
It feels like the ending of a ballad or an elegy if that makes sense
It's like a memorial song I've heard before from 2stepsfromhell
True, it's really good in outer wilds' case because unlike NMS it's the only track of the ost that's anything like that
Its like saying goodbye to a companion.
Yeah, especially since credits roll afterwards and uh
Yep, enough said
14.3 billion years is enough to make me cry, still
Hearing exploration 14 so much during gameplay sorta slowly ruined the vibe it had
Still, if ||during the ending, nada, polo, artemis, null and apollo were remembered in some way to help shape the universe, sort of like outer wilds, that'd really make it worth the credit roll it never got||
That isn't the focus of it though.
In NMS, the cycle wasn't broken.
Once Atlas got reset, and youre in a new galaxy. Everything you did doesn't exist.
(except you still get Artemis dialogue in the Anomaly - don't know if they remember you after the reset if you spared them)
In outer wilds, you break the cycle. There is now an end
If I could pin a theme to it without getting religious, it's like reincarnation instead of an afterlife.
In essence what you're doing in NMS is buying into the atlas's own delusion when you reset it. Nothing changes, the threat to its existence doesn't go away, this has happened before several times.
It's proven to do nothing but erase the atlas's inhabitance
Or just make it feel good being used like a machine again
Honestly I'm kind of sad that that decision has more of a gameplay impact than the rest because it's just as based in philosophy rather than objective morality
Yeah. It tries to answer what comes after and that's already hard to do. We tried
I still love it, I just wish less happened honestly.
I don't know if the dialogue changes when you get confronted near the end. But I remember it saying in my playthrough that I was capable of good and bad, letting Artemis die (good?) And helping Apollo (bad?)
But morality is already a very subjective topic
But turning one of the most complex questions the game asks into "do you want to go to a new galaxy" for a lot of people kind of annoys me
Yeah, I understand that. That's how many interpreted it when they did finish it. I saw it more on a philosophical standpoint, and mirroring it to real life throughout
NMS tried to give a new perspective on very old but very hard questions
Can anyone confirm if Artemis remembers you across resets tho? Because if so. That seems like a plot hole
They don't as far as I know
@unborn bough
Thank you for sharing this friend-entity @brazen cedar
Will keep them coming if you wish.
I’ll have to work on them anyway, but thank you for helping out. Please share whatever you come across, it will be tremendous in completing the excel sheet. You can also try to take part in our initiative if it’s alright, and if @uncut harness is also open to the idea.
Where did you get that dialogue?
Planetary archives
Nice
yes, let's see if I can sort myself out enough to help
Have we always been able to customize our freighters?
Like the color
Or is it just a switch thing
Not always, but for a couple years now
Oh
what do i do
atlas is dying and if i reset him in the center of the galaxy the world might end and whith that my life the other choises are compleat atlas path or explore the galaxy
amma not reset it
Follow your heart
yea amma explore
and now i need living water lol
o well
tryna get the living ship
Ah
Bad news
You have to complete the story to get it
You do not have to the middle per se
Just do what the quest says and warp 16 times
emm alright
Then you appear at an Atlas station and choose if you reset it or not
You reset it:||you get to choose a type of galaxy to go to and your tech breaks, all of it||
You don't: nothing happens
and what do i do if i choose to reset it ||do i just re build||
ok
Any fancy updates on experimental oooor is 4.0 sorta in maintence mode at this point?
@mental socket ?
Waiting patiently on sean emote tweet
👀
Hello hello. I have no idea what's happening with NMS at this point other than HG opening two new permanent vacancies for designer and build engineer
**● As a hands-on implementer, directly create new missions, stories, expeditions or features.
● Bring the player’s perspective to features as they’re developed.**
these were the most noteworthy responsibilities in the designer position
they're scaling up the workforce on expeditions, missions and story content
Ooh that's juicy

Greetings Interactive Medium
oh i completely missed that
how old was it since they started?
also sup azure hope u been good
1month ago says linkedin
been alright. Just living life, learning about dev stuff and working
i find it kinda funny with #2 given seans trackrecord and fix of stories told
lol
@mental socket thanks azure for the info. cuz i havent played properly in like 3-6 months >_>
@umbral spear boop. hopefully some decent news by time psvr2 drops ^^
Same here. Been delving into other games
i was killing time most of endurance active patching then went back to my
ing and usual ff addiction lol
my usual nms cycle
lol
Hit expeditions hard m, overindulge, then gotta settle
Could, theoretically, Artemis's soul be attached to a Korvax casing or some other mechanical body to bring him back to reality
I'm still not sure what gives a korvax life. But maybe entering into a Convergence cube? But I also don't know how those are powered. Or even if a different race's consciousness could be uploaded to the cube.
From an IT point of view yeah. If memory serves me well the name of the technique is wrapping, and is used to make legacy code to more modern interfaces. so you could put artemis soul in a simulation system that reads his movements sending them to the mechanical body, while taking inputs from the mechanical body's sensors to shape the simulated world around them like the outside world.

I can't seem to select it
There is no path
Can anybody help?
The only path is up to a system i already visited
Psst....spoiler it 👀
oh, do i have to mark them in this channel as well?
of course, give me a second
huh
I can't seem to spoiler it
Yeah, only not in #nms-spoilers
aren't we in #nms-spoilers ?
Wait fuck
now the question is, ||which galaxy to choose?||
Do what you want
Just FYI if you reset it will break all your tech
break as in remove or break as in have to repair
ohhh thats fine
i'm already at the chamber where i choose so it's not like i can back out anyways
Really I thought it broke what wasn't in the tech slot or am I just old?
Old
oof
Also you seem to steal my name
||/s||
It's my gt ahh
CastPandora is mine too
I love how the loading screen goes backward
Mine was CastTax changed it to just Cast
Hmm
JESUS THATS FAST
Might change mine too but I'll keep mine as its how xbox made it
Feel that lol
Going well I assume mate ?
can I ping an atlas emissary for a previous post?
Anyway nice to see Another Cast who likes nms and fallout
😅
Not advised but I'm not your mom
wait you aren't?
Very nice good job
No
You're going to the orphanage again
😔
"I will never forget how Artemis's smile falters."
Okay thanks, now I'm tearing up. I really fucking hope they'll forgive me
Which decision did you choose?
Integrated Atremis within the Korvax simulation, then presented their new universe as a positive during The First Traveler
Oooh chose to save Artemis!
I'm still wondering about a bit of dialogue with that choice I haven't seen before, but couldn't get confirmed
I heavily regret saving Artemis if they won't forgive me for it
Well, gotta keep playing to find out
Hah, assuming I don't get forever absorbed in base building
Hm. If Artemis could be integrated within a Korvax simulation, they could probably have been integrated into a Korvax casing.
Maybe.
Eventually Artemis accepts their reality and is ready to explore their new simulation.
If only cloning was a thing in NMS and we could clone Artemis 🥺
Oh thank God
One day we'll at least get Apollo and Artemis as Anomaly NPCs I hope
Plz make it happen 😭😭😭
Or even as squadmates in space!
I'd love to have Artemis and Apollo as squadron members 😍
Multiple people have nicknamed my character "Artemis' little sister" 🤣
That's hopeful thinking. NMS is a bit somber in terms of story with that
@unborn bough
Tbh || i always choose ending her suffering cuz it literally is a mercy if u think about it ||
In long term
There are many ways to look at it
What if in the future there is a solution for Artemis and we can bring them back?
I mean ye but i dont expect it much
Given we reset the simulation ANYWAY i see arthemis as a literal none consequence
Kinda
I wonder if resetting the simulation fixed Artemis.
Maybe? Dunno
That's what I wanted to find out, because resetting Atlas made Nada and Polo forget us, but does Artemis remember us if we placed them in the machine?
Currently there isn't a way to contact Apollo or Null to see if they remember us, the other traveller entities
But if Artemis does remember us, does that mean travellers are not affected by system reset? Or are they gone from the simulation entirely? Undoing our work?
I think we need a continuation on the story.
We're anomalies to the Atlas, travelers to the rest.
When I jump galaxies through the core, every reset I get an Atlas sphere with the same "Iteration" flavor text, which calls me a compliant anomaly.
Greetings, I cannot seem to find a portal to use, so that I can travel to destinations with coordinates. I've already chosen to refuse the atlas. Ideas?
Artemis forming up high on your six, awaiting coordinates, over

so uhh
if I'm getting it right back in the first spawn days there was two species of gek?
More like 2 subspecies
But yes
Subspecies is a bit rough. But the First Spawn were essentially the first borne from the spawning pool. I haven't read anything of lesser Geks
@uncut harness Do you have this one yet?
I do actually, finished all the gek and korvax lore
Words included
I don't have any V'ykeen stuff though
With what?
I’m doing the leylines and glyphs and there was a metal like ball I could push around sorta is it important?
The visor wouldn’t scan it or tell me anything
Because I pushed it and it rolled down the hill and into a lake
Nope can’t mine it and can’t do anything except kinda push it around
Can I post a link?
Metal ball found at an ancient ruin?
YAAAS
Ignore.
OH COOL thank
Metal... Ball?
Why do i have low suspicion its gravitino ball, unless he means the ruin football lol
Big ball on the ruin pier
Because gravitinos don't roll.
Where burried chests is
Picture?
How do i get a remembrance?
you do the Atlas Path and you don't refuse at the end
type !faq-Atlaspath in #bot-spam for more info
Ok thank you
wait no! I think I'm mixed up with Star seed here
but you need to be able to craft The Heart of the Sun from the Atlas Path to make remembrance, but I think you get the bp for remembrance during the Artemis Path
someone correct or confirm me here please
Is it possible to do both paths snyways? Because i would like to see black holes on the map too
Totally, in fact it’s often recommended to do the Atlas path at the same time as the Purge part of the Artemis path as you need to do warps for the purge and the Atlas Path has you warping between Atlas stations
Ok thanks again!
Does using the Heart of The Sun at the end of the Atlas Path consume it and force me to make a new one
How can i find an atlas?
Ask polo where they are
Yes
You need two in total, one for remembrance and one for the final interface
I was somewhat disappointed when Atlas made a star for me but I didn't get to see it. I was looking forward to discovering it and naming everything myself. Was going to settle down and treat the planetside aspect of the game with more care.
I assumed that the system you land in after the black hole was the new one. So I settled in and made base computers at all the portals in the system. When it ended up being exactly the same as any other system I got a dejected feeling.
Have you finished the Artemis questline?
Think so
Did I miss something maybe?
I was driven by the ending of The Atlas Path quest line so I tried to make sure I didn't mess it up
I'm not sure. At the end of Artemis, you are given a choice.
I don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't reached it.
Oh I consider myself done playing the game
Okay.
I'm seeking for reasons to launch it again
Well, although some things get repetitive, there are always unique finds.
looked it up, I did complete artemis
Sort of wish I had simply restarted the simulation. Would have been a shortcut to a new galaxy.
Is there a way to reset it later on?
I set myself the goal to core jump to every galaxy in order. I'm in #37 right now.
You can always start a new save.
I would have to progress through the quest line though. Might take a few IRL days of play to get to the button again.
Without using portals or other shortcuts, the core is your only way to another galaxy.
In your current save, that is.
I kind of wanted a cool freighter and I enjoy derelicts, so I'll probably just do that instead
There's no way to make a permanent mark on the world in this game, besides discovery?
Upload your bases, those are permanent unless you delete them.
You can also rename everything.
Well, everything you find first.
I did that but it looked like the real name was still under there
As if I just gave it a nickname for myself
There's a planet Klax out there
You have to rename before you upload it.
I did
There's also a The Moon Formerly Known As Prince, too. LOl
Ah, Little Prince
And we're getting out of spoiler range; we should take it back to #no-mans-sky
yeah
Returning it to the starting question. Does ATLAS actually create a new star for you? It's kind of impossible to tell the difference.
I honestly have no idea.
I haven't done that quest in two years, and I'm not a serious loremaster.
It literally says it's adding people and a history to the starsystem, so as to explain it looking exactly like everywhere else.
no
OwO!
there are a set number of stars
Would have been neat to be able to set the parameters yourself :-\
No
doing so is the only way to unlock star seed though
And it’s a rather nice mission with good lore.
would be a cool feature if you chose some planets, then the game located and transported you to a system that fits
That could work. Yeah. Send you to an undiscovered place that fits parameters that you set, and let you discover it yourself.
Done with spoilers then.
Interesting from a boundary failure -
How do we know that we exist? We are nothing, or we are more. The Atlas once asked our creator how they could be sure that they were real. They told them the probability that we too were in a simulation, glass reflected in a mirror, Balaron, Dryn'dargh, Korvax Prime, all other homeworlds.....all of them had an 'Atlas'. All of them had a machine designed to simulate realities. What if this is all reality truly is? Dream upon Dream, coalescing into a sum beyond its parts. What if waking is inevitable? Goodbye, Traveller. I will protect you until the end.....I will protect you until the final day, the final hour, the final moment. Even as everything dies, I shall live again.
So I used the Heart of The Sun at an atlas station and I just got a piece of dialogue and the option to leave
was that really the whole questline
you also got a piece of tech
No I didn't
the star seed, you get it at the end of the atlas path
Then you haven't finished it
What stages are there after using the heart of the sun
The quest disappeared from my log
All I have left is New Beginnings and The Space Anomaly
Do we believe we'll get NMS update news next week?
or not until the week of the 22nd?
Gameplay wise, no.
Storywise, yes
That's it, chief.
Mind you, it's a blueprint for a technology, not a packaged technology.
Oh, so after crafting a dozen items, I can craft a new item
Guys I just finished the Artemis quest path after a REALLY long time and I let him die. I was one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever made in games
I figured I should put them at peace rather than feel pain
And they would only be confined to one system and they were an explorer
Same
I always uploaded them. I wish there was another, better option. Artemis deserves better 🥺
The sweet release of death
Artemis the angel
Both me and @uncut harness kinda agrees its a mercy
Yeah, it's a tough decision, but after seeing how they react to being uploaded, I couldn't do that again
No mans sky may be a basic as hell story but still engaging/thought provoking
Sure, the gameplay aspect is basic, but once you read the rest of the lore it's more detailed than it seems
This story... Is not basic
Yeah, this story is deep. Dealing with the ideas of how you define reality. It bears some resemblance to The Matrix
How do we know where the simulation ends? How do we know whats a simulation and whats reality?
Read that paragraph I found on a Boundary Failure above
Dude like okay I reset the simulation? And now every single piece of tech I have is completely broken I have no idea where I am.
🥺
I’m scared
I don’t know how to construct the heart of the sun
yea its supposed to do that
everytime u go to a new galaxy everything breaks
u gotta fix it
Fix everything?
just the basics
u can still call ur other ships
but nothing is gonna fix on its own
and u can still call ur freighter
you are in a new galaxy, but don't worry you can get back to Euclid very easily by using a teleporter
If you want to carry on exploring this new galaxy then put down a base computer before leaving and that way you can come back
Okay 👍 peachy.
ive gone through the center 3 times and said nah screw this. each person thats in a galaxy i dont have yet i just put a computer down and come back later lol
too lazy to portal to the center however many times and fix everything
as for the heart of the sun you should have 10 blueprints that you make in order that will end up with the heart of the sun if you've finished the Atlas path, if not you'll get them when you do that
first though get the important tech fixed up, it's like the start of the game again but this time you know what to do 😁
Awww my old trusty Pillar of whatchamacallit came to the rescue.
I was worried I major major messed up and would have to really start over again with a new save.
nah, all your old bases and stuff is exactly where you left it
which galaxy did you end up in out of interest?
Galaxy 2
Yeah like upload him to a simulation he can build on our freighter and talk to Artemis whenever.
Hell, give up tech that allows Artemis to transmit a hologram of their body onto the freighter base, much better faith
#myfreighterlikethearcadia (Harlock reference ||where his ship hosts the soul/digitalized mind of his best friend||)
YES. SEAN MAKE IT INTO A FEATURE I BEG YOU
Such wholesome people. Want to save everyone
Yes.
Such a wholesome looking universe. Why isn't it actually wholesome? 😭😭😭
Because when you peek behind the curtains, everything is at least a little depressing
I got the "You abandoned me, just like everyone else" dialogue no long ago... was really a "Who-? Wha-? Get Outta my Comms!" moment, lol. Meh, I might try to save her...
( I know, they're going for the gender-neutral approach, but with a name like Artimis, that there be a woman! Lol)
I think that was - null- tbh
That doesn't sound like Artemis
True. Artemis has a much friendlier tone than that.
-null- is pretty arrogant
Unless you mention Nada when you have to upload the distress beacon data to Artemis. They don't like that 😅
And after uploading them and telling the truth. Later they call you again and if you ask how their travels are this is their response.
I tried all (or almost all) the dialogue options.
Ouch. Kinda glad I let them die
I think depends on how you approach the subject? What I got was them being grateful and saying they would build a starship and explore the system
I believe it goes a little like [Put Artemis in the Korvax Sim] -> [Admit to Artemis that you put them in the sim] -> [Ask about travels]
What makes sense to me, at least.
Your route probably included you concealing the fact that you put Artemis in the sim.
No no... I was honest with them. But I went for the "talk about pros" route
They said something about needing time to think and when they contacted me they were grateful and trying to cope
No. I was honest from the start.
Right
I dream last night that a NMS update was out random
but I can't remember what was in it 👀

Are there any major differences in galaxies? Just wanna know before I jump 200 times
some galaxies have different types
normal, lush, harsh and empty
Euclid is normal, lush galaxies have more lush planets, harsh galaxies have more extreme planets, empty galaxies have more airless planets
Hmmmm, ok thank you. But no difference in ships creatures etc etc
No. galaxies are just like diffrent seed. You can technicaly get every variation of ship or animals in euclid
Thank you.
What's the point of going to the galaxy center or resetting the simulation ? There are enough star systems why would you need a brand new galaxy/simulation ?
Different types of galaxy
Some galaxies have changed chances for certain planets in yellow systems
Lore-wise you try to stabilize the simulation, because Atlas is glitching out... Gamewise what they said
https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Forgotten_Colonies : is it something we get talked about during the game ? I don't remember reading anything about this
Its a player civilisation
Maybe news next week since PS VR 2 launches then, right?
22 feb i think
the dog dies
@sweet lynx Review pinned channel rules.
I always felt that one line was out of character to Artemis.. I guess it's because her lines were written in 2017 and that one line was inserted with Beyond in 2019?
Well, despite Artemis' gentle personality she is constantly in fight or flight mode due to the situation they're in, being stuck in what's assumably the World of Glass, so she might have gotten pushy out of panic. Panic makes people act weird and I'm pretty sure it's the same for Travellers.
Soo seems like there's a content update or at least an expedition indeed
and not just the PS VR 2 update
I don't think he just means that PS VR 2 is cool with ❄️
I hope it's snowy mountains and pole caps
Last few emojis were pretty straightforward
But it was chosen because oranges is close sounding to origins.
So, what sounds like snowflake?
Could be "snow", or "cold". Cold would match "bold".
Can I build every single building in one planetary settlement or do I have to decide for some and therefore against others?
afaik, the latter. It only allows for so many buildings, but you will get repeated choices
Hmm I see
I feel like I have the potential to completely ruin this settlement by making only the worst decisions😂 would just be great to know if I could maybe compensate for this by building all of the buildings
You will eventually build every building
The choices you make for buildings have no consequence other than the order they are built
That is really nice to know. Thank you.
Also been alive alone for long enough for the stars to change position in the sky.
Ok so what exactly is the "world of glass" ive dove into the lore of it but havent found much yet.. any theories?
Robo Ascendant Realm
Ive gathered about that much but i at least really dont know much about it.
Yeah, not much known
Other that its a higher plane of existence within the simulation
It's the equivalent of Recycle Bin on computers.
The data has been removed from the simulation but still exists for the time being.
No.
Snowdrop? Its a game engine
It could be some sort of customization update because every snowflake is unique and well you could make your stuff even more unique than it is and maybe even create your own species.
❄️ Procedural Generation?
Snowflake is a fractal ❄️ .So its math . Sean loves math
Could that mean NMS is getting a new engine?
If so doesn't NMS have to be rebuilt from the ground? I am aware you can port models and assets from engine to engine, though.
Hard to say. Its only a speculation. Its posible and i think it would be not that hard to change the engine since game is mostly math. And math is the same no matter the engine.
Would be great tho.
I dont know how good is the engine tho. They made division 2 ,avatar : frontiers of pandora, and southpark game with it
I'm 100% sure that NMS is their testing ground for new features and new ways to do things to help with their next game(s).
In turn growing their engine and speeding up development time.
Hg is probably focusing now on psvr2 port and new update. I hope they will make their engine better even if they borrow tech from other engines. I could really take some ps4 performance upgrade. The crashes made me stop playing completely for some time.
I wonder if the engine NMS is made in will ever be publicly available, such as with Unreal Engine
I think there are some other engines for procedural generation. Hg could do that after will finish working on the engine and they move on from nms to new projects.
I think I've found out that the "planet of glass" really is a sentinel main planet other than the obvious name implying so
What if "Glass" is the name or related to the creator of the Atlas, and in its final moments, it's crying out for help?
Good point
I also figured out though that the planet has agressive sentinels but i like you're theory more
And also in "A leap in the dark" we lure sentinels over to see where they come from and it leads to those plaques which lead us to that planet. But also ive seen some things that might say that the atlas created the sentinels such as the atlas protocol that occured when we got to the planet. Im not 100% sure but both of our theories could be true
I thought that the idea of a planet of glass referred to an artificial planet perhaps. like how a skyscraper could be described as a tower of glass, a planet of glass could be a big sentinel megastructure. Originally it sounds much more like a metaphor, like the glass is referencing clarity of existence / awareness of the simulation, however due to the physical sentinels, sentinel outposts, and sentinel capital ships, it could also be a physical place.
Well, it can also be described as WORLD OF GLASS.
Which could be a separate plane of existence itself
I thought it was maybe referring to silicon chips and computers
Could be
When do you guys think Murray will post more on the emoji?
No idea
Getting closer to psvr release date, you’d think it’d be coming out v soon
No, he never expands on the emoji
we'll get the update and then all will make sense
Massive doubt
:(
I don't see that theres any problem with the current engine tbh. Like maybe it struggles a tiny bit with elements of the game, but its an in-house engine afaik.
It could well be that they are doing a lot of devel work on it though, and only pushing a new build of the engine out every once in a while
(It won't)
do we have any datamined info?
I think there is a link between the world of glass and the green planet with an obsidian moon
Old conversation oops
Interesting nonetheless
The overseer told me they see glass
People told me the overseer is sus
Who here has figured out why you shouldn't drink the water?
It has nanites in it.
Sentinels did it
Gunter knows all patchnotes anyways 😄
@uncut harness This channel isn't for spamming emojis. If you want to hype the update check out #no-mans-hype🐝
It wasn't spam, it was a spoiler in emoji form
It wasn't hype either
Someone asked why you shouldn't drink water, so I told a story in the lore in emojis
Where 👀
I second
Nowhere, they were commenting on the fact I was using emojis
it was a joke
but the emojis got removed
Dang…I am so sad now 😞
HOW FID NO MAN SKY DUDE END UP IN RANDOM PLANET CRASHED
Pardon?
Considering this is spoilers, I am more than happy to ruin the game for you.
The universe of No Man's Sky is in an endless loop of being deleted and reset.
You woke up on a planet after you crashed your ship because the the universe restarted, that was your spawn point.
You would have learned this information if you had taken the time to play the game.
so basically a small update
"Embark on an expedition exploring a strange 'Utopia' along with discovering strange secrets and a new starship"
Its something along those lines
If that's all it is that's a huge L considering how controversial Waypoint was and not having a update for 5 months.
interesting
I clicked on the noti and it disappeared before i could share it
I thought they said in Leviathan it wouldn't be expeditions replacing updates anymore considering the backlash with that?
uh, thats actually pretty normal.
pretty sure first update of the year last year was also an expedition
No it was Sentinel
Patch Notes are always massively more interesting than the update itself.
Might only be an expedition but there'll be some nice updates hidden inside.
I hope its a bit more tbh. I think I'll be slightly burnt out if its expedition only.
well do you guys think hello games would finally be done putting out big updates anytime because they would want to move on from the game? Like keep putting out small updates and work on a new game
oh right, they announced an expedition at the same time as Sentinel last year, thats what im thining of
Waypoint already killed my hype for the game a bit and I haven't been playing it as much.
They already said they're doing that.
snowflake = fanbase meltdown theory nearly complete
oh can you point it out for me? Kinda out of the loop
If this is a Leviathan situation I think I'll dip until something more significant happens or after 4 or 5 content updates.
and moreover, starfield will probably make the major playerbase migrate if it's any good
We don't know but I really hope not... That will for sure kill the community a bit considering how much Waypoint already did tbh. I don't want to complain to much because HG have done a lot since launch but it'd just be very eh if two updates in a row were this dry,
Hello there
I don't think Sean go crazy active on Twitter unless something op coming
He only done that last year and was in Endurance update
. Update should drop any seconds now bc nms want be first to announce today before VR2 exclusive video comes out
so basically you are hopeful for a big update or no?
I have the feeling that it may release alongside a full update.
Yeah I believe it's big one
Sean was shocked by amount of ppl was sad for waypoint changes
I believe he want make us happy
That's what I'm saying it'd be a massive L if it was. I'm gonna have some hope but my expectations are super low now and I'm disappointed lol.
they dont speak for the whole community
We won’t know until it’s here
It could be anything
It could be an expedition, it could be the perfect update
Leviathan was an awesome exp, my second fav after 3
It's an indie dev team. Why do people consistently fall into the trap of assuming every update will be groundbreaking
we got a snowflake
people were expecting a proc gen overhaul
thats not even an exaggeration, read the reddit posts
I think you're not understanding... People weren't upset because it was a expedition people were upset it was hyped like a normal content update would be.
that was their own doing
the worm emoji was also just an expedition
its not an excuse
They never did that with any other expedition it usually they always launched with content of some sort.
Got a screenshot?
Nope, clicked on it expecting to be able to see it in the notifications of the game pass app, but it wasnt there.
I think the only reason people weren't upset about Emergence was because it came out like a month after Frontiers which was the big summer update while Leviathan came out a months after Outlaws and was a lot closer to the summer update.
I think its more so the timing of the expeditions tbh.
People end up upset with every update for one reason or another. Why did they add this and not that, this game is turning into a base building simulator, why isn’t it the proc gen update
Speculation is fun, treating the emoji like a short little puzzle trying to figure out what it means, but it’s still just speculation
ice planet expedition?
I remember the notification saying something about ice, though unsure, can't remember quite well.
just fyi, hoaxes tend to get muted. i'd recommend getting the receipts
More hospitable ice worlds maybe?
yeah
i mean we can verify it with someone else having xbox game pass
Red's typing and has gamepass (i think lol). i'll wait for her to confirm
😂 Bring it on Red
or @sterile jay is just Sean who is trying to manage our expectations and then release a big update 😳
im going back to #no-mans-hype🐝 for now 👋
I wouldn't lie about this type of stuff, because that is just pointless to do so.
we are waiting for red to complete typing

👌
I'm busy looking for the notification history but I can't find it
or PC xbox app?
Maybe they pulled it last minute? I mean same thing happened with Origins
On mobile Game Pass app
That's why it could possibly be more still 😉
I see no notifications from GamePass.
I'm highly skeptical about the supposed leak.
I do encourage folks to post the source of the information via links and/or screenshots.
I'm seeing no information from Game Pass, via notifications or anything in their Game Pass app.
Thank you for helping clarify things, Roarin

Let's wait and watch
Who reported it?
I feel like you're right especially since its only 1AM in the US and even earlier in some other countries. So I feel we should've seen some form of screenshot
@sterile jay
Does anyone have a link on source of the supposed leak?
He's the one that reported it
I reported it
I'm not seeing any Xbox Game Pass notification. Do you have an actual screenshot of this information?
I didnt screenshot it because I thought that itd show in the notis for the gamepass app.
The history of notifications shows in the Game Pass app though. Even after they're read.
I know, that's what confuses me
To give Scrap the benefit of the doubt something similar happened with Origins didn't it?
🤔 🤔 🤔
This wait is gonna be tense hopefully we get some more teases to keep the hype going because that info kind of killed mine a bit despite it possibly being false. 😅
That's exactly my case. Honestly its just with this specific update no matter how you feel about 4.0 there is no doubt it hurt the community and with a 5 month long wait for a update and just for it to be a expedition would be a bad move tbh. Especially with a emoji like a snowflake which is something incredibly unique.
Don't get me wrong I'm not on the crazy hype where I think its going to be something huge like a procgen overhaul or anything but I just feel it has to be something with more substance.
I don't understand it, they are definitely putting effort in the MacOS and PSVR2 port and so saying '5 months wait' is kinda pointless imo. Hello Games is a small team and even porting games is v v v hard to do
My level of skepticism is 99.9%
I mean its not unreasonable since 4.0 broke a lot of things especially with multiplayer... 5 months and capes still don't show up properly and getting disconnected from the anomaly randomly is game breaking experiences and HG stopped doing fixes after a few weeks..
There is no notification in any of my Game Pass apps about No Man's Sky (mobile or PC). I see a notification about another game, which once read, it does show in the notifications' history.
There is still hope. 🥲
I remember seeing them prior to 4.0 though?
some people could see them but the vast majority could not
Capes have never worked in multiplayer. There is a way that someone found how to glitch them to show (which was discussed in #nms-modding but way after capes were released)
it's easy to misattribute flaws to an update you didn't personally enjoy
That's true but thing is I actually didn't mind 4.0 I loved a lot of the changes to visuals and inventory aside from the scrolling.
could have fooled me 🤷♂️
sorry, but the general take i got was that you didnt enjoy 4.0
sorry if i misunderstood
Just the negativity surrounding it not so much the features themselves.
The damaged community really destroyed my hype since a lot of content creators left or slowed down to.
there's negativity every update. 4.0 wasn't an exception, don't worry
Frontiers was also quite polarizing
and Origins was like 2 weeks of pure salt
Btw, this is the latest Game Pass notification (about another game) that I see in my app for the record. No mention of No Man's Sky. I've actually never seen notifications about No Man's Sky via Game Pass since I've played the game on Xbox. I've just received the updates for download as with most games. Also, when you click those notifs, they take you to the game. And the notification doesn't get auto-deleted. It stays in the notification history.
I don't really remember the disappointment with Origins. However I do remember it with Frontiers. I just think Waypoint had a big fall off of the old school players since the inventory changes for min maxing was kind of nerfered.
And Frontiers was actually REALLY hyped
teaser came out like a month and half prior to the update iirc
I do think 4.0 has had the biggest blowback I've been a witness of since I've been playing the game. No clue about other releases before Origins though.
Beyond was pretty bad as well
er bad reaction i mean
people are always expecting a lot more
it was buggy tho, thats true lol
Beyond was so mid but I was still super excited just because of VR
I stopped playing until Synthesis I think.
That was L
idk why but hello games kinda fails to properly have depth in each mechanism they implement. Settlements are flat, the threats don't affect the players. The combat is flat and so is animal riding. Nothing has weight. I think that is exactly why people are always negative about different different updates
imo, 4.0 just felt like a band aid rip that needed to happen
Maybe bigger yearly updates are better than frequent updates every 2 months because at least there'll be less complaining and it'll only happen majorly once a year like Atlas Rises days. 😅
if everything is like that and continues to be like that, why do they expect anything beyond that?
Because ig fans like to be hopeful? idk
fans get super crazy expectations.
it's still an indie dev team and the only thing they give us an emoji
molehill -> fucking huge ass mountain
every time
Didn't the emoji thing started with Living Ships and eggs? Aside from like two emojis they all have been linked to content updates.
yeah, living ship was first iirc
but that got datamined early iirc
same with exomech
Yeah and I know new water systems have been datamined too but haven't made it in yet?
Exactly.
People are more hyped about overhauls to existing systems because they know if HG wanders again in a new direction, it might take years before they come back to it and flesh it out.
I much prefer depth and overhauls to existing systems over new features. Ever since Beyond new new features haven't excited me as much. I think NMS need more expansion on what it already has.
Yes. HG need to finish what they start.
Leviathan.
Same 😂. I didn't understand the anger
But then they put supercharged slots
Which super cool
I don't want to mention anything but I literally got tons of insults just saying update is awesome 😂.
Game is improving day by day ❤️
Game is improving bi-monthly by bi-monthly. 😉
I still argue that my favorite visual style for the game though is Atlas Rises and Foundations.
I think Atlas Rises is where I clocked in at least 60% of my playtime.
I'm thinking that too. Thank the Atlas. 😮💨
Yeah especially with how vocal reddit and twitter are and the brownie points that come with it. 😛
Yeah he tried to defend himself for a bit to avoid the ban hammer but he disappeared into the abyss.
Alright talk to you then hopefully there is more to talk about then. 🙂
I'm still here
I've just been busy
I've said everything I can about the leak, and in all honesty, I can't blame you for thinking that it's fake.
You said you it was a notification that disappeared before you could share it, and you're the only one on the internet to assume it was NMS when there was a notification of atomic heart that contains similar text to what you described. So you've said almost nothing and have no evidence to suggest it actually leaked anything 🤷♂️
It only disappeared when I tapped it, and when I did tap it, it took me to No Mans Sky on the app.
I am unsure as of why it did not appear on the actual tab for notifications on the app itself.
Could it have been a glitch with the gamepass app?
Like did the text mention NMS specifically?
But literally nobody else saw that notification
It didn't mention No mans Sky specifically, but why would it mention a starship?
Although, it could very much be a glitch.
Im not the only one that got the notification
Someone else got it. Most recent reddit feed post
I got that exact same notification.
That exactly.
Interesting that person hasn't posted on anything for months till 8 minutes ago, but hopefully that's not all
You weren't delusional after all ❤️
Aye, it's fine, I perfectly understand why you guys were doubting. if somebody else did it, and they were the only one, id doubt as well.
The way that whole thing is worded feels… off
Like it wasn’t finished
“Including all new starship” think you’re missing an ‘an’ there pal
Yeah a bit off grammatically
I just hope its a content update with it because if not a expedition only is a huge L
I'm hoping its wrong.
Not trying to imply it’s outright fake or anything but it almost feels like a weird placeholder
The thing is, is that those notifications are for events. The expeditions are considered as events. It could come alongside a proper update.
So we’re ultimately still where we started, “lol who knows what’s coming”
I'm fine implying things are fake till the update actually comes out. Like "oh no I was wrong"
Been a while without an update for it to only be an expedition hopefully it's content and expedition
Content + expedition would be ideal
Until Sean himself breaks through my window and whispers secrets to me I’ll just assume nothing is real until it is real
One would hope so
Lets hope so.
Buncha newbies in here
I haven't played in months, would be nice to have a reason, since expeditions don't do it for me
They have literally never done just an expedition, with the exception of re-runs. And even those brought us updates and patches
who
I really hope so if not my disappointment will be pretty huge
Leviathan and Emergence were expeditions only.
They weren't, go look at the patch notes
Expeditions also provide some new content
Now that I think about it, Gleam is right. No updates were just expeditions. There are bug fixes and sometimes small things added.
Even if it's just some lore or unique tech
Is it likely the update is today?
Yes
Yep 😂
Expeditions always comes with update as bouns
But never was main content is only expedition
They told us it would be today, months ago
Jumping in to be right on a technicality classic
Day and date with PsVR2
In Gleam we trust
This happens every update lol
Yep they announced today VR2 will show all exclusive games. Nms one of them
I am expecting update drop before VR2 drop
Gleam is secretly a Hello games dev
I don't really consider bug fixes content though that is just a necessity that should be expected tbh. I mean technically they included some small amount of content but nothing significant to the game its just fluff.
3 or 4 hours is my guess
Some folks are dying to get just that fluff
Like exp 3 tech for starships or Singularity Engine
I personally don't think its a good move. It needs to be content with substance considering how much Waypoint split the community tbh.
Split for about a week
I’m new, so I don’t fully understand. Why did people not like waypoint
See?
I get ya, but I don't agree with statement that Leviathan and Emergence were just expeditions
If there new ship
I guess time to scrap few of what I have 😂😂😂
Never diss the rule of cool
Waypoint update introduced inventory rework, one of the aspects included removing of general inventory. That was used to install extra tech upgrades to get better stats. Since Waypoint we have only dedicated technology inventory for that, which results in lower amount of upgrades that can be installed. Some folks were mad that instead of being able to destroy starships in 12 nanoseconds they have to wait 20 nanoseconds now.
What do you want out of the 10 people working on this? New engine? A million new assets?
Yes
Define what content in this case will mean
No just more depth to the game in general like sentinel really. They don't really need to add a ton of new assets.
Bring back some of the generation from Foundation and Pathfinder.
I mean they literally admitted to nerfing the generation with NEXT.
I see
You know what I find funny about this cycle?
Sometimes the best way forward is backward.
Ok, thank you.
Back in 1.01 people were bitching about how hard it was to get around on planets
Cycle forward and people want it back
People are gonna bitch about anything really
The only people who bitched were the ones who thought Sean lied lmao
There will never be winning
proceeds to bitch about Waypoint UI
No, that's not accurate
The only winning move is not to play
The only winning move is not to set expectations, not to give in to opinion of loudest screamers
The move is to enjoy the new content we get for free
That too
Personally I wouldn't have taken anything out, but no matter what they do people rage and people enjoy
The only problem is free content is great but they nerfed what we had before exploration wise.
Did they? It had the exact same issue people point out for current - repeating assets
I hope that after reworking base building, ship combat, survival and difficulty elements
We are gonna get an exploration update now
Terrain and colors were a lot better. I mean they literally said in a Origin video with IGN that they nerfed it and it was a important step to bring some of that back with Origin.
I have 1.0 on ps4
It came out of Seans mouth.
Yes, and do you know what colors they meant?
To be honest. It’s an amazing game. If someone builds a base and you as an explorer stumbles upon it
The ground color
People will always complain about repetition, suggesting people should not complain about repetition because they complained about other things is a bit weird
Night and sunsets are mostly a limited color palette. Daytime colors are a little more varied.
I literally posted this in NMS Future this was Atlas Rises.
The thing is NMS is a simulation yes? Why cant they just have old planets be a part of the generation and call it a glitch in the system?
I like waypoint as an update though, it was what I thought they should start doing with a lot of existing features
Refactoring to improve the overall quality
I'd say when people refer to older generation they mostly talk about Foundations, Pathfinder, and Atlas Rises however I know Atlas Rises had some complaints with terrain being toned down and in that Origin video its funny that Sean said the downgrades to generation started with Atlas Rises lol.
Expeditions are fun, but the timed aspect makes it stressful imo
There should be a way to play old expeditions and community missions at any time they shouldn't be lost to time.
Nostalgia is a powerful blindfold
Yeah I'd like to be able to go through expeditions myself with friends like a run
Its really not there is good thing about modern NMS. However stylization is subjective and to be fair that screenshot above is more so what the game was marketed as and it changed into something else.
Or they could reintroduce exp rewards as QS items
I mean what's the worst that can happen, people save edit them in anyway
At least I'm not saying nuke the new stuff entirely they should be able to coexist with NMS lore.
Qs missions are not as fun as expeditions
I personally think NMS has plenty of features to make it enjoyable, I am hoping they're in a season of refactoring those features to really get all they can out of the idea
I think saying blindfold nostalgia is a bait to start an argument and it's not productive at all. Why dismiss it just because of "nostalgia" it's literally just stylistic differences between the two. They can literally coexist and its facts generation was downgraded since Sean literally said it... It's not "nostalgia" really. Graphically new NMS is technically better but the stylization is way different.
Yeah, driving on planets being a complaint so they changed it to solve that doesn't make much sense either
They added back extreme mountains and those are a nightmare to navigate, but that's their charm
for me, the biggest flaw with current terrain is a lack of verticality
not in the sense of "be tall and big" but in the sense of, there's no layering, there's no archways that span across chunks of land, no overhangs, its just... a flat landmass projected upwards with a basic heightmap
its not taking advantage of the fact its a 3d voxel terrain
You can literally summon your ship anywhere you can just fly over them or how about adding some form of flying vehicle think of Cyberpunk not a spaceship so it cant leave atmosphere but it can literally be a flying/hovering roamer.
which feels really... not good
Yeah introducing wild terrain generation as more rare planets makes sense, it is a "variety" thing but does give a reason to explore
And build bases
i understand the want to make terrain more navigable, especially once player models were added and they had to consider animations of players moving up steep terrain, i get it
but i feel like they yanked things back waaay too much
I think that's a lazy argument to just not do it even though the whole game is supposed to be about generation. There is work arounds but it just requires more work. I don't even care if they add new assets I just want what we had before NEXT to be in the game.
I mean mods somewhat accomplish this and it doesn't affect gameplay that bad.
I do like the work they did on derilect freighters, and settlements, I imagine they're sharing some tech there hopefully they go back and change some monuments to use that
They've done a lot to improve existing systems over the last few updates, I'm hoping for more of the same
Not really a fan of this void idea YouTubers have been pushing for so long, mainly because they're describing it like derilect freighters but a different coat of paint
I rather have it be new stars that spawn in or something on the galactic map. I don't care for the way its described either because what if you like a planet and leave? Is it gone forever? Could you never build a base on it?
Cant blame YTbers when we had over a year of weekend events dedicated to Abyss / void
Only for it to be let go and collecting dust
I think that is the biggest issue with HG tbh they need to finish and refine what they start.
This game isn't ever going to be finished, they will just stop updating at some point
I hope they at least open up the engine and add official mod support for the community to take over.
or make an ai sean that never stops updating the game
I mean there is a lot of lore that is just lore, I don't expect it all to become a feature
Let console players get mods like they do for Fallout and Skyrim.
That isn't how it works on console though
Even HG has limited say in this matter
The Devs themselves are responsible for vetting and hosting
Sony does not allow 3rd party assets to be implemented
At least that's the case of Bethesda modding scene
If they could just say: Let console use mods, they would
I gotta doubt they have any interest in maintaining mods though, with the extra work and overhead involved
IMO they won't
One of the key factors of NMS is the out of box experience
Adding modding capabilities can ruin that
Most mods don't use third party assets for HG though its mostly modifying scripts within the game.
Cause surprise suprise - people be dumb as fuck
I know some do though
Nah, but PC modding support would be better, most console games don't have a good life after official support ends anyways
Hence why we PC folks got the warning screen when using mods
I don't know I think a lot of the mods make NMS better.
PC players are better at keeping games alive
Always has been this way.
I mean look at L4D2 and CS:GO
They allow mod support and have a strong community.
L4D2 outlived Back4Blood for this reason.
Community creation is more important then one thinks tbh.
Just saying if Halo Infinite had Forge at launch I doubt it'd be as dead as it is right now
There are plenty of examples to support community creation and mods.
I don't know I doubt every mod for Fallout and Skyrim are monitored by Bethesda either for consoles.
They are though, that's why you can't even get all the mods on console
There is a whole process and certification each of those mods goes through
And the dev foots that bill
Consoles have a life span, which is much shorter than pc
I'd argue that lol
You are replacing graphics cards every two years if you want to stay on ultra
Which these days, cost as much as a console
I have been playing ultra on games for 6 years with the same card
Not even every two years lol
Go run cyberpunk on ultra everything with your 6 year old card and show us
But I meant for a single game, not games in general
Cyberpunk is a unoptimized piece of shit of a game.
Everything you say is so hostile man
I didn't make the statement you're accusing or assuming I'm making, I even clarified
Of course a buggy mess of a game that is unoptimized wouldn't run well. It didn't even run well with top of the line hardware lol.
Ark to this day as well runs like crap.
Well consoles do about 10 years, most people aren't rocking the same gaming pc after 10 years
DOOM Eternal a properly optimized game could run 300FPS with 5 year old hardware.
Maybe the case, and accessories
my last Pc got an overhaul after about 7
Needed better everything to keep up with new stuff
Of course, that does come with some very nice bonuses
Mods are one for sure
If the console can live 10 years, why can't the PC? Considering you likely could play games from that console on the PC, of neither change hardware they have the same lifespan
True
PC can always outlive a console
Don't forget a PC can do more then a console you can literally make money on your PC by doing other things with it. Make videos, music, 3D model, code, 2D/3D Animation, texturing, Photoshop, etc.... This list could get long so top of the line hardware benefits both fields gaming and production so prices will always be more expensive.
That's true, not a factor for me, but a solid point
Well besides all that I mainly just meant a community can exist for a game on a PC longer than they can on consoles
And consoles have so many limitations, that I'd hope the devs would prioritize pcs
For modding support specifically
That's a thing to consider. If a mod is made on hardware like a 4090 and it barely maintains 60FPS at 4K maxed consoles burn.
Possibly brick even.
Yep pc is the best with lifetime
I believe best Cpu rn with RTX 4090 would last 25 years golden time 😅
I'm sure a 4090 will be running games max at minimum of 60FPS for at least 5 years.
DLSS might boost its life.
I just want scripting support for NMS so we can add our own features haha. Thought about getting into making a script extender but finding pointers and reading assembly is a challenge
And it'd be less complicated if HG just did it haha
Do you guys think that the leak shared by procedural traveller is true?
My bet is that whenever HG do decide to stop with NMS, they will open up the exe for the community to go ham
God another expedition after months of waiting would be depressing
Aye
Maybe NMS 2
I have a feeling HG new game could be a more realistic universe game with there procedural engine to compete with Star Citizen and Elite more closely.
There will be an expedition, they are going to keep those going - It won't be just that though imo
I can't imagine them actually making a NMS 2 though
they wont
Yeah, i meant if it's literally just an expedition like with leviathan
there's no reason to
They said they won't
I think it will be a open universe game with proc gen but it wont be NMS.
And that their secret project is something different
Good so maybe an open NMS is more likely
Don't worry they won't
Whats more ambitious then a open universe?
Another open universe that's more realistic and sim like.
An open multiverse
Maybe a more gritty experience.
Really the biggest hurdle for opening NMS would be moving the discovery servers to somewhere else
and even that is, likely, not a big problem, the main problem is getting someone to dedicate the hardware to it
otherwise, NMS will live forever, as a solo experience at least
Community servers would be great still
oh absolutely
hopefully soon we have our answer
The update shall give us twitter as an in-game feature
Lmao
im not sure i want to see NPC's thoughts posted at me
I kind of want on foot pirate battles tbh. Repurpose settlements and have it be pirate outpost and have shootouts with NPCs on foot.
Make onfoot bounty hunts a thing to.
"This traveller guy sure seems gekphobic"
I remember seeing that they do have some AI tech for npcs that follow you, they use it for the videos
oh yeah, i remember that
Becoming the mandalorian would be so sick
People who hate on geks just don't get that they've been genetically changed since they were terrible
Everybody's ancestors were shit in the game also
Yeah absolutely
All of em got up to some shady business
I'd like to see the people in red robes expanded on
I'd love more story
Like actual npcs
The archives and logs hint at so much, even another race
i wanna finally know what the world of glass is
They have a lot of great lore
Maybe that's the "Utopia"
stick me in a fractal nightmare scape
or just an expedition
This is why I like the emojis, typically don't make sense till after
whether the weather is new or not is something we'll all just have to weather together
So we get to speculate wildly
If it was an atlas expedition I'd be into that (just wish I could play it whenever I wanted)
Actual variety other than "boiling water storm" and "frozen water storm" and "toxic water storm"
toxic spider storm
Toxic frozen water
now we're talking
If they did an atlas expedition with red capes and hoods as rewards
Maybe you play as a believer
Crimson glass clothes
Maybe a weapon and ship that looks like red glass
part of the excitement of NMS for me is not knowing whats coming next
sure, I have things I'd like to see added or improved, but i never would have thought of living ships, so seeing them surprise us with stuff is fun
Using expeditions to let you play in historical moments of NMS lore would be perect
i enjoy the mystery
I'd only want expeditions to allow lore coverage if you could replay it at anytime.
I'm surprised it isn't a mode already, that lets you choose which you wanna run
There is always a bit of lore in each expedition
I think they probably just don't have enough of them to make it worth the feature yet, but we know since they can bring them all back, one day we're likely to have a playlist
Problem is, some of them require a server to keep track of progression
And who knows, maybe they're refining the creation process to make it easier
Remember, Normandy was locked till some stage behind encrypted milestones
Leviathan had community research for memory fragment classes
Is that true for the version people play during the holiday?
Having a dedicated server would be nice, but they would need to keep track of all that extra info
Hmm good oint, I haven't played reduxes myself
I think it makes sense for the initial release, but hopefully not for redux versions
I never have time during holidays
That's an easy fix, automate the number to rise at a specific rate
B on day 2, a on 4, s on 6 etc
